What has happened to All Bar One!
I visited Butlers Wharf today, my first post-covid visit and what a disappointment!!
The new outdoor seating looks pretty but is really uncomfortable, there is no discernible table service (scanning a barcode is a challenge with no wifi, and accessing their wifi is another obstacle!). The food was really poor value with a pad thai listed at £11 and then £3.50 added for some poor quality chicken and £5 for a few prawns.
It was a bit of a cheek for them to even try to add a service charge when there was no service and you had to go to the bar to order food and collect drinks. It is added to the bill automatically so you don't see it until you swipe your card.

All in all, a very, very different All Bar One from before and one you would only go back to for drinks and the view by the river.

Went to Southampton’s branch . Great food & drink & was served by an extremely lovely lady by the name of Chelsea . She was very friendly & courteous & think she needs a pay rise for her attentiveness..👍..

Terrible service at Worcester branch, we didn't want to use the QR app, explained this when when we were seated and were told that was fine. We were then completely ignored for 20 minutes, even though 2 moody looking waiting staff walked past us on at least 7 occasions, and even took a drinks order at the next table (about 12 inches away!) We left at that point and ate somewhere else. Customers are clearly an inconvenience.

On the 14th of March 2022 me a two of my work colleges decided to go to All bar One in Gunwharf Keys , Portsmouth for a work meal and drinks. We arrived to find the restaurant nearly empty par a couple of couples and a large group of around 15 - 20 people. We waited to be seated by one of the staff who came over and showed us to a table , however then we were told that they had to go straight after seating us "to more important" clientele in the restaurant ( assume the larger group ) this didn't put a good look on customer service at all. We then saw over the night realised the waiting staff were hanging around the large group only taking orders for food and drink and leaving us to do orders on app/ Qr code which was very hit and miss at best. I don't recall at any point during our time there we were asked if food was or anything was wrong which supported comments made at beginning of the night. The food was ok , but looking back on customer experience would say was not not good, they were not busy at the time and comments like this is only going to put people off dining there. I don't usually write Reviews or reviews for food establishments. This was fist time going to All bar one and it has certainly put me off of going again especially the one in Portsmouth.

I had the most emotional, negative, traumatic experience!
My family which included my husband, myself and my daughters aged 18 and 14 went for a drink prior to a meal. We arrived at the bar and there was no queue, we waited for a while and nobody appeared, so we proceeded to walk into the bar. What followed was atrocious and completely unacceptable:
We were told we couldn’t sit on a table because it was blocking an area, we were happy to move our daughters to an adjacent table. The initial member of staff who approached us was happy and said he would clarify this with his manager. Then another member of staff came out and said we had to go outside and join the queue, we politely pointed out there was no queue.
3 members of staff then appeared and the manager, said they would not be serving us drinks, she raised her voice and made us feel uncomfortable, which resulted in customers also joining in, we felt we were racially targeted.
We were very calm, but did ask why we were being asked to leave. I have never felt so humiliated and there was no need to speak to us in that manner.
A customer sitting a few tables away joined in and was extremely rude to my daughter. The manager did not intervene and instead applauded their behaviour.
She was very unprofessional and instead of being supportive and empathetic, she made the situation worse. Customer care is clearly not a priority, or does it depend on the customer!

It is such a joy to be going out again, after all the lockdowns and restrictions. All Bar One had always been a favourite and, over the last few months, we have been to the Kingsway, the Regent Street and the County Hall branches. In each case we have felt completely confident re the COVID precautions. the menu gives plenty of choice (love the gyozo) and the service is good. Would give five stars but I dislike the pressure to use the app, and order at the bar, as opposed to being given a menu and have someone come to the table to take our order.

Excellent service on Friday, 3rd December from EMILY. She was helpful, funny and efficient - very nice young lady. The private area for drinks was also much appreciated.

Visited the restaurant in Gunwharf Quays, Portsmouth. We were a large party of 14. What a dump! The furnuture was falling apart, the Ladies Toilets were absolutely disgusting. Cobwebs. Leaks, full overflowing Toilets. Didnt look like they had been cleaned for a week! The food was good but the Music was so load we couldn't have a conversation unless we shouted. In all a bad experience and won't be returning.

Previous visits to All Bar One Aberdeen have been good. Unfortunately last nights occasional was not very good at all and will make me think twice about going back.

Music way too loud making it virtually impossible to have a discussion.

Ordering App didn’t work with no indication that the order had actually failed to go through.

Very slow delivery of drinks orders made directly to the staff.

Table (that I had booked beforehand) was jammed in between pillars with no real room around it.

Visited All Bar One in Gun Wharf P’mouth.
Considering it’s amazing prime location & opportunity to stand out amongst the many competitor restaurants it chooses not to.
It was the staff that made our experience good. They were welcoming, friendly & helpful. Thank you.
The real sad observation esp in high contamination times was the state of the ladies toilet. All hand wash was empty bottles, toilet rolls put down toilets? Dirty & desperately in need of redecorating. No hand sanitising to be found.
Not a good standard at all & reflection on other areas of the resturant. Shame. ☹️

Had lunch at Edinburgh Airport All Bar One ordered the Rib Eye steak knowing that Rib Eye can be a bit marbled with fat. Unfortunately for me my Rib Eye was more fat than steak.

When I spoke to the waitress they immediately rectified this and removed the cost from the bill to their credit they could see exactly what I meant and there was no issue with them sorting it out.

To top that all off I then left my phone on the table at which point they put out a whole announcement and called me back to collect that.

5 stars to all especially the waitress who found my phone.

Thank you to all concerned for fixing out the steal issues and finding my phone.

Visited all bar one in Cambridge today. After being shown to our table we were advised to use the app or place order at the bar.
I downloaded the app on their free Wi-Fi and ordered our food and drinks. It wasn’t busy but after a long wait checked our order had been received. They confirmed receipt of the ordered however it had been delayed.
The drinks arrived at the same time as the meal, but I’d ordered sweet potato fries and they’d brought me chips. The manager sorted it out apologised and produced the right sides.
The quality of the meal was very good and we were offered a round of drinks as an apology. We had 2 halves of larger.
This is the only reason it’s 4* and not 5*.
Will definitely go back
