Hi ,
The most idiotic airport regarding security check I have ever seen. After you pass 3 security checks the last one is the me Sci-fi one right at the boarding gate.
Prepare yourself for the drug test! They will take a test of your hands (with which you touch all the railings), from your shoes and clothes (which can be contaminated anywhere in the airport).
The only place they can really take samples is from your personal luggage.
I personally saw how a lady's luggage from the UK was controlled in the most Gestapo way, and all her clothes were taken off, attention! one by one including panties etc. without any shame in public humiliating the poor lady.
This is unacceptable, I remember Turkey's anger that it was not accepted into the EU, well gentlemen... you have a long way to go, human dignity and human rights cannot be violated for any reason, even that of flight security.

Why did I have to pay a check in charge for my wife and I of 10 euros as I checked in at Antalya airport.
I told the lady at the check in I’d already checked in online but she wasn’t interested or didn’t understand me as she was adamant I pay.Its a form of blackmail when there are so many customers behind you in the queue and you feel your holding up everybody and they know that and don’t let up knowing you will give in due to pressure.
Unfriendly unprofessional and a money grabbing system that I’ve never experienced at any other airport I’ve been too.

I cannot comment on all shops etc. The airport itself looks great. More space etc.
1. Bought a mckicken sandwich meal 15euro and 2 chicken pieces came to 25 euro. WOW double the price from scotland. Anyway I had to true itvas actually nothing in it except a very small square if chicken, a couple of slithers of lettuce. Nothing else. Took it back got exactly the same would put a picture on but cannot see an option. Absolutely disgusting way to treat people who have already spent thousands and thousands in their country. But what other choice all the prices were the same. So starve or pay for it. That's exactly why they are doing it. Other thing is where we're were at gate 216b you share with another gate. So only half the plane gets a seat until boarding. People with kids. We stood for over half hour in queue while everybody gets swabbed and search. Old people etc disgusting to be honest.

Terrible experience traveling as a solo disabled traveller. I have to say worst assistance service I've ever experienced at any airport. On arrival we disembarked with the specially designed scissor lift. The assistance personnel operating this were cheerful, helpful and pleasant, however when we reached the terminal there were no wheelchairs waiting and we were asked to wait inside the building where there was no seating. After a long wait the two other disabled passengers with me decided to try and do the walk but as I was already experiencing back pain with the length of time I'd been standing I decided to wait (alone by this point). When assistance eventually
turned up with a wheelchair I was taken by a sullen assistant to baggage reclaim where he told me I had to get out of the chair as he wasn't going any further. I argued that he had to at least get my case from the carousel which he begrudgingly did. He then told me if I needed taking to the transit bus there was a charge of £10. As I had no choice I had to pay this. Having spoken to a friend about this she told me the same thing happened to her when she went through that airport on an earlier occasion so this is not an isolated case. I had no problems at Istanbul airport a couple of years ago where the assistance man went above and beyond so this isn't a Turkish thing.

On my return I was dropped outside of the terminal where I could see no signage for assistance. I therefore joined the long queues to get through security which again left me in pain. From there I had an extremely long walk to the very far end of the terminal for check-in. No assistance was sign posted and no help offered. I had to struggle alone with a suitcase, bag and walking stick. At check in I asked if I could go through the priority section as assistance was booked. It was only at this point that a wheelchair was offered and two pleasant assistants summoned. I will never go back there. I managed to struggle through this time (£10 lighter) but doubt I will cope there next time.

Travelled the world and never been to a worse airport.

Absolute chaos from start to finish.

- Check in desks slow and incompetent
- You have your passport checked 4 times at different points causing crazy queues
- £20 for a McDonald’s meal / £17 for a beer!!!!
- All prices through the passport control are extortionate
- Very rude staff, who have 0 understanding what’s going on in there

Please check multiple social media platforms, as they all talk about it being the worst airport in Europe.

Die neuer Ambiente ist toll geworden bei Rückreise die restoran sehr schön aber auch sehr teuer leider

I've been to antalya Airport many times over the last 10 years and it's been chaotic most of the time with long waits and so many security checks and searches it's unreal .. just when you think you have had them all .. oh no not another one .. then when you were eventually through everything it was so crammed you couldn't really move about freely for the amount of people squashed into one place ... fast forward to June 2025 while there is still huge ques and a gazillion security checks the hole airport has undergone a full refurbishment and to be honest it really looks good with more areas to sit and shops to view the only downside is that it's now probably the most expensive.. £46 for a KFC bargain bucket that is normally £18 .
£16.50 for a 35cl bottle af carona. £27 for a bowl of katsu chicken noodles . Cans of coke £5 ect ect ... in-between McDonald's and KFC there is a smoking area and my god it stinks and gets crammed with people .. I'm mot a smoker but the smoke and smell is terrible .. they need some good extraction in there I think.
So antalya Airport has gone from being a terrible airport to being one of if not the most expensive airport and all the prices are uniform across the airport, but on a good note it's a more pleasant area now but all the money they have spent they have to recoup somehow

Ende Mai : 3,5 Stunden vor Abflug am Flughafen angekommen- es war kurz nach 20:00 Uhr , tausende Menschen liefen planlos durch die Halle. Sunexpress Schalter gefühlt 10 Reihen mit je 150 Menschen in einer Schlange stehend für die Kofferabgabe und Ticket holen ( online Check in war am Tag vorher) . Nach ca 1,5 Stunden waren wir endlich dran. Dann das nächste Chaos, eine Menschentraube suchte den richtigen Weg zu den Gates. Laaaange Wege, keine Sitzmöglichkeiten, Rollbänder teilweise defekt, eine riesige Shopping Abteilung mit einer massiven Lautstärke ( es hallt), überteuerte Preise , endlose Schlangen.
Am Gate angekommen-Sitze für ca 35% der mitfliegenden Passagiere. Der Rest stand oder hockte auf dem Boden.
Auffallend ist auch , das schon jetzt nach so kurzer Zeit überall der Putz abblättert. Steckdosen lose , Gewebeband scheint durch die Wände usw.
Die Saison beginnt erst- mir graut es vor unserer nächsten Reise….

Honestly I panicked after reading all the previous reviews but honestly I found it functioned really well. Yes parts are expensive but we got through the check ins quickly.

Chaos pur bereits bei Einreise zum Terminal 2 - Staus, hunderte von klein- und Großbüsse. Lange Schlange zuerst bei Gepäckkontrolle, dann das gleiche beim Check-in und danach noch einmal bei Sicherheitskontrolle zum Gate. 300 ml Wasser - 3 EUR, 2 Kaffe 16 EUR! Bislang schlimmste Erfahrung mit einem Flughafen. 3 Stunden dauert es dadurch bis zum Gate!
Wenn möglich meiden diesen Flughafen.

Wir sind am 14.05.2025 mit Corendon Airline in Antalya ankekommen. Das einzig Positive war, wir sind keine gefühlte halbe Stunde mit dem Bus gefahren. Aber leider am neuen T2 am gefühlten letzten Finger angelegt. Dann ging die Marschiererei los. ( Ich bin 72 und 100% schwerbehindert,sodas mir das laufen schon ein bißchen schwerfällt). Aber einmal längs des Abfertigungsgebäudes, längs der
Koffer-abfertigung,wieder letztes Band. Das schlimme ist, kaum etwas zum setzen. Die Sitze die da waren, waren natürlich alle besetzt. Ganz hinten gab es nur die Laufbänder. Nach 14 Tagen Urlaub das fast gleiche Spiel. Einschecken im alten T2.Dann zur Rolltreppe.Gesperrt. Fahrstuhl,Staff only. Quer durch die alte Halle, die lange gerade,Kontrollen,lange gerade, dann180 Grad in den ersten Stock,durch die ganze Halle,um alle Geschäfte, wieder zurück zu 17B. wieder gefühlte 2km. Wieder nirgends was zum hinsetzen. Mein Schrittzähler,ich habe ihn beim Betreten des Flughafens auf Null gestellt, hat am Gate dann 6.600 Schritte angezeigt. Am Gate reichen die Sitzplätze auch nicht für eine Maschine. Da müssen die alten Leute schon stehen. Die Behindertenplätze sind leider nicht zu erkennen.
Das nenne ich dann mal Kundenfreundlich.

The longest bag drop off I have e er experience. There seems to be multiple bag drop offs with no one getting there bags. This is terrible.

Bin ich hier in der Türkei oder in Monaco?

Hamburger bei Mc Donalds: 9€, Sandwich: 15€, Hot Dog 13€, Bier 15€ ganz miserabel! Schlechtester Flughafen!

Eine riesige Katastrophe….. endlos lange Wege, die mit Handgepäck noch schwieriger sind. Vor allem für ältere oder ein wenig eingeschränkte Menschen. So was Schlimmes habe ich noch nie gesehen. Auf dem Rückflug Rollstuhlservice bestellt….keiner kam, Fehlanzeige, nach mehrmaliger Nachfrage wurde ich einfach ignorier…. Sowas geht gar nicht‼️ Die Mitarbeiter durchgehend unfreundlich. Am Freebird Checkin wurde sich erst 15 Minuten mit dem Kollegen unterhalten, bevor die Abfertigung los ging….ohne Worte. Und diese Shopping Meile mit Restaurants ist vollkommen überdimensioniert und bitte nichts kaufen, komplette Abzocke ‼️ Hier muss man auch wieder endlos durchlaufen, um zum Gate zu kommen.
Der alte Terminal war zwar häßlich aber wesentlich kürzere Wege. Genau daher überlege ich, ob ich zukünftig nochmals von dort fliegen werde.
Ich bin schon häufig über Istanbul geflogen, großartiger Airport, super Service und alles perfekt organisiert.
Wer hat diesen Airport geplant….‼️‼️‼️

Katastrophaler Flughafen.
Wir mussten am Check in Schalter von Sun Express 140min anstehen bis wir einchecken konnten. Wir waren dann leider zu spät !!!
Glücklicher Weise wurden uns dann doch noch die Koffer abgenommen und man hat uns dann mit einen Flughafen Mitarbeitern durch den gesamten ellenlangen Flughafen im Eiltempo geschleust, das heißt durch Sicherheits- u. Passkontrolle bis hin zum Flugsteig gebracht. Wir waren dann durchgeschwitzt und mit den Nerven am Ende. Zu guter letzt haben wir nochmal knapp eine Stunde im Flugzeug gesessen ehe der losflog.
Wir haben schon viele Flugreisen und Flughäfen erlebt, aber dieser Flughafen ist eine Katastrophe.

Antalya airport is pure and utterly chaos arrived there 2 odd hrs before our flight queues everywhere security well I forget how many we went thru people barging pushing past u we had enough time to go to the toilet then our gate was open they will be losing a fortune if they don't sort this no time to even look after duty free came last year wasn't as bad as this year putting us off coming back even though we love turkey the airports are letting it down
