You should come here if you’d like to Die

You should come here if you’d like to die and not receive any care or any form of sympathy/empathy majority of the staff here do not care whether that’s reception / ambulance / nurses etc there is a very very small handful of workforce who go above and beyond to make sure you are well kept and well informed the rest of it it a total shite show personally I’d avoid coming here unless you fancy 6+ hour queues triage waiting times of over 13 hours and obnoxiously rude staff then feel free to come here

Next time, I’ll just await my fate!

I was brought here by ambulance due to worsening asthma. OMG!! What a nightmare! I’m currently in what is laughably referred to as “Same Day Emergency Care”. It ought to be renamed “same week care if you’re lucky”. All I asked for was transport home (still in my PJ’s) - not an unreasonable request - but waiting the length of a bible for transport is a joke! Either Newham can provide transportation or they can’t! This lying to their patients isn’t on - even from NHS management. So now the time is 20:04. I’ve already been waiting an hour. If there’s no life by 20:15, verbal onslaught is the only way forward!

Newham Hospital Children’s A&E

I took my baby to children’s A&E on the advice of our health visitor today. Explained my baby has been sick quite a lot in the past week and his milk intake remains low for his current weight with feeding challenges becoming apparent in recent weeks. I was told (with an attitude by the children’s A&E nurse) that “he doesn’t look small for four months old” (my baby is 10 lbs at just over four months old and is very obviously a small baby).
The nurse we saw was unprofessional and clearly had an issue with me challenging her and we were basically sent on our way with no support today. Absolutely horrendous hospital in my opinion, they are unwilling to listen to your concerns and simply want people out the door.

Newham General Hospital Zone 6 Blood Testing

Zone 6 Blood Testing - The check in machine was not working so I went to the reception desk and explained the faulty machine and handed over my blood test letter. The 'experienced' receptionist said I should not have booked my appt on line as we dont accept GP Blood Tests anymore.

I explained I was asked to book on line via the 'swiftqueue' platform, only to be told "No No that's all wrong and you'll have to go back to your GP"

I was a bit put out by this to say the least as I had travelled about an hour to get to the Hospital only to be told I was wrong for booking via swiftqueue/nhs service. A 'less' experienced young lady overheard this and said "Im sure we can fir him in this one time" and she did.

The "experienced" lady take note of how to liaise with patients in future

Studied there

Studied there. They only let people into their medical school if they pay more money or are from a disadvantaged background. Talent and motivation mean nothing,

Staff should walk along waiting area and repeat patient's name !

I went to Newham General hospital A&E. I was in the waiting area . Some nurses and doctors need to walk along the whole waiting room and repeat patient's name as I didn't hear my name as the waiting room also leads into a corner also the staff calling out patients' names were over talking other staff while calling other patients names.

NEWHAM HOSPITAL - NIGHTMARE

We had an extremely disappointing experience at Newham Hospital. I brought my mum in at 12:30 PM after she suffered a serious fall at home. The ambulance crew and the doctors who attended to her at home were outstanding—compassionate, professional, and genuinely concerned for her wellbeing.

Unfortunately, the same cannot be said about the hospital. The Emergency Department was overcrowded, unhygienic, and poorly managed. Despite requesting pain relief at 3 PM, my mum wasn’t given any medication until 9 PM. The staff, including the doctors, were dismissive and unprofessional. Rather than reviewing her notes or X-ray results, they seemed more interested in personal conversations.

There was no clear communication, no advice or guidance given about her condition, and no proper care plan discussed. Even a simple request for a bed was denied without a valid reason.

This was, by far, one of the worst hospital experiences we’ve had. I will avoid this hospital in the future, and I urge others to be cautious. Newham Hospital seriously needs to address its standards of care.

Absolutely awful experience at Newham…

Absolutely awful experience at Newham University Hospital A&E.
Shocking service from start to finish. The staff were arrogant and dismissive, with zero empathy or professionalism. I waited 7 hours to be seen, only to be discharged without any proper explanation or notice. It felt like they just wanted to get rid of me. The entire experience was a complete nightmare. This place is a joke—definitely the worst hospital experience I’ve ever had.

West wing waiting area

I recently visited the paediatric waiting area in the West Wing Emergency Department at Newham Hospital and was extremely disappointed with the facilities. There was no provision to warm up baby milk, which is essential for parents with young children. Additionally, the customer care was lacking; the staff seemed indifferent to our needs, making us feel more like prisoners than patients. This experience was very frustrating and disheartening.

Newham probably the worse hospital I…

Newham probably the worse hospital I went into. I was in the armed forces and I traveled to quite a few countries around the world. I can't blame the staff. Probably no funding for equipment and no doctors or specialists on site to properly diagnose and treat patients. The situation in the NHS is dire indeed.

Newham hospital maternity ward:
The maternity ward is full of racist people, if I am not their colour of skin then I deserve the worst service ever. Under skilled and careless and racist staff caused me depression and months of trauma. Tortured by the staff like butchers waiting to cut you to pieces. Will not recommend the Asian (brown) women to give birth in this hospital. Almost 7 months on still can’t forget their poor, careless and full of hate services towards myself. I wish I knew before :(

Special praise for Rani Abraham following a recent visit to the Urology Department. Made me feel 'at ease' before the unpleasantness began!! Rani, and in fact the whole team working the Urology department are a great credit to the Hospital - great service, thank you!

I've been waiting for a operation for 3 years now.
Every time they arrange a operation for me they cancel at the last-minute.
I have been suffering from acute sinusitis for 3 years and no antibiotics work hence the operation.
NHS are absolutely rubbish, if i could afford to go private i would absolutely do so.

THANK YOU NHS !

I’ve received nothing but exceptional care every time I’ve had to be seen/treat by the NHS.
Some people forget that they are massively understaffed and underfunded thanks to the govt.
They work around the clock with what resources and staff that they have and do an amazing job !
I’m truly thankful for everything the NHS has done for me and my family.
I’ve needed them twice during this covid-19 pandemic (999 ambulance paramedics to our door + a trip to A&E on a different day) and they’ve been 2nd to none.
We’ve been seen by a couple of departments that have been able to remain open & have been kept up to date from the departments that are closed at the moment due to Covid & we will receive new appointments when they re-open.

THANK YOU !
