Complete Scam

This would be 0 stars if it could be. Miles Dunham was very communicative until I paid but I haven't heard anything since and still haven't recieved the order placed in November.

Beaufort and Dunham has rebranded as bespoke-consoles.co.uk and changed instagram to match. The comments are turned off no doubt so unsuspecting people can't see others commenting about this being a total scam.

I wish I had looked into this company properly before wasting my time and money. DO NOT ORDER from this man, this business is straight up criminal and Miles will steal your money.

Beautiful shelves

The shelf we ordered is beautiful and matches the colour perfectly. We were in touch on and off and the order took longer to complete than first quoted but we got them and they're lovely. I only panicked when I hadn't heard from them in a week or so and saw the reviews but what we got was great and just a bit slow.

Disappeared?

I am yet to receive my order placed in July. Beaufort & Dunham website has disappeared. I am having to look at my options to get my money back.
Instagram account and website seem to have been renamed as Bespoke Consoles

Do not order

Do not order. Looks like their website is down and they’ve gone bust. Like many others here I paid in full and never received the goods. Very disappointing and now pursuing via small claims court.

Are they still trading?

Does anyone know if this shop is still in business? We placed an order with them and never got any responses on delivery. I've now checked their website and it seems to be no longer trading. Unfortunately, we paid for our order in full - never received a response.

Very poor

Well - wish I'd bothered to check Trust Pilot before ordering from them!
No response to emails - ordered a shelf on 4th September and not had an eta or any correspondence about it yet -

Learned about chargeback process

Difficult one this, very mixed experiences but broadly negative
I ordered one table, with full knowledge that the expected lead times were nonsense, as I had read these reviews. However, I ordered from premade stock, unpainted - but it still took weeks somehow.

However once it finally arrived, it was decent quality and once we painted and installed it we loved it.

So...ordered a second (big mistake, should have quit while I was ahead). Six months later, nothing has arrived. After multiple chasers from myself and the bank, still no table or refund. I've only been able to recover my money via a chargeback.

It boggles the mind a bit how inconsistent and unreliable they are, and I can't imagine how many chargeback disputes they must have piling up. Shocking stuff.

Avoid this company!

Avoid this company!! Wish I’d come here and seen the reviews before ordering a console table. I placed order on 13th June, was a bit put off by the rather rude information on their FAQ’s stating don’t bother ordering if you can’t be patient. The lead time was 6-8 weeks. I emailed after 10 weeks asking if my table was nearly ready. I received a nice email a few days later saying it would be sent out the following week. Then nothing for a fortnight. So emailed again and got a reply a few days later with a Parcelforce tracking number which was incorrect. No response to my further two emails and phone calls. Finally received the table a couple of days later. Whilst the table is ok it’s really not worth the stress.

Nice product but very poor customer service

Product arrived after lots of chasing & weeks & weeks of waiting. The shelf is lovely but I wouldn’t order from them again. The delay & lack of communication has been very frustrating.

Avoid

Ordered a hall table in January, was told it was nearly ready in April and come September it has still not been received.

Despite numerous chases I got no response from the owner. I therefore had to flag the transaction as fraudulent with my credit card company and Amex have subsequently suspended the company from the network.

Really disappointed as I was incredibly patient and gave the owner plenty of opportunities to rectify the situation, but in summary I would recommend that you deal with this company.

Avoid

Avoid! Ordered a side table in April, it’s almost September and still no delivery of it. I’ve emailed numerous times, messaged via Instagram and have heard nothing. Please don’t make the same mistake I did by ordering from this “company”. They are a complete scam!!!

Lovely product, poor customer service.


Let's begin with the positive.
My hall table arrived and looks great. I think it is excellent value for money.
The company owner was very responsive to my update requests (usually within 24 hrs.)

Sadly, there are also some negatives hence 3*.
My order took 7 weeks to arrive.
I had to chase the order 3 or 4 times.
The company owner made false promises telling me it had been dispatched when it hadn't. He gave me a Parcelforce tracking number that didn't become live for a week.
In summary, a lovely product. I suspect the owner is simply trying to catch up with orders. I just wish for his sake he would be honest and realistic about delivery times. I would have been happy to wait 7 weeks if I had known in advance but found the whole process frustrating.

I wish I had read the reviews before ordering. No confirmation of purchase, no tracking information, and, in spite of my table being in stock, no table. I requested an immediate refund today from Miles Dunham and informed my bank.

Poor/zero customer service

It’s interesting B&D say bespoke in any colour. I paid for console table (November 2024) requesting it to be painted specifically in F&B Off Black to match other woodwork in my house but when it arrived it was clearly a colour match and looked disappointingly grey. It was raised to you, you promised to refund £75 to my account and I am still waiting for the refund. I have had to pay someone to paint it in the correct paint. Do not buy from this company who look professional and stylish. The process is too painful to get a refund, they are unreliable.

Painful

Painful, slow process that at times felt like I was being scammed. Did eventually receive items after much chasing but not the ones I'd ordered.

I purchased sale items that were in stock, so no lead time. A month went by and I assumed the order had slipped through the net so I sent an email. No reply so I emailed a week later to ask for a refund and was assured they would be sent shortly. Another two weeks went by and I emailed again, was assured they would be sent by Parcelforce the next day. Another week goes by and I emailed again. Received an order number for Parcelforce but it was inactive. To my surprise the items then turned up another week later with no contact from Parcelforce in between which seemed odd. Opened the package and it was the wrong shelves but by this point I was just amazed id received anything at all! Couldn't be bothered to go through the painful process of sorting it out so accepted these were now the shelves I was going to have to use. To be fair - they are well made!

Approach with caution!

I have just written to the company to request a full refund. I ordered my products in 2024 and have yet to receive my order or more importantly any responses to my attempts at communication. There is no doubt that the products are of good quality but I would approach with caution based on my experience. It's been a very disappointing and if I'd read the reviews first I then I might have looked elsewhere.

I came across this company on…

I came across this company on Instagram, I loved the look of what they did and ordered a radiator cover. Like so many other people it took an age to arrive. I was perfectly happy to wait the initial 6 weeks as it was a bespoke order but good while after that I enquired about deliver times. I got a pretty prompt reply saying it would be on its way the following week. Then nothing. Another few emails enquiring got a similar response. Eventually I got fed up and said I would have to get my lawyers involved and I’m glad to say that I received (first an incorrect tracking number, then the correct one) and it did arrive about a week later. What is so sad is that the radiator cover is fabulous, I’m thrilled with it and it’s exactly as was described on their website, it’s extremely well made and it’s great value.
I do hope they sort themselves out as I would probably consider ordering more things but, at present, it’s too much of a hassle to keep chasing them!
Please sort yourselves out as you’ve got a great product but are letting yourselves down.

This company tells lies and takes your…

This company tells lies and takes your money but does not produce any product, in the end after receiving promise after promise I received an email telling me my purchase was on the way and even included a postage invoice number however after waiting several months I still did not receive the product and when I enquired with the postal service they had no record of the postage. Do not waste your time and money by purchasing anything with this company.I do not recommend them at all.

Do not waste your money and time!!

I ordered a shelf with a 6 week production and delivery time. Months went by with no communication, my emails were ignored and I didn’t hear anything. I started thinking I had been scammed, when I received an email on the 4th April stating it was complete and being sent out via parcelforce. This turned out to be a lie. I waited a further month before raising an issue with my bank for a refund. That has now been issued and I still didn’t get a response from the company. Very disappointing service.

I had been sympathetic thinking maybe he had just hit a busy spell and struggling to meet orders but looking at the terrible reviews, it is obviously how he does business.
