A healthier lifestyle.
I have been with better for a month or so now, I find it to be a great health benefit for people my age (67). The staff are really helpful. I would highly recommend joining BETTER.

A real life gym for normal people
We used the adult junior gym session the gym was not too busy so didn't have to wait for equipment. There's a great selection of gym equipment and the place is spotless. I particularly like that it isn't posey. There are all ages shapes and sizes working together everyone at their own pace. My only complaint....I went with my 2 grandchildren this was our second week 2 of us have membership 1 child hadn't made up her mind last week and went as pay as you go.This week she had decided to join. The staff at reception said she needed to do an induction but there was no one available. When I poi Ted out she was allowed to come with us the previous week I was told it was because she was not a member. I asked them to cancel the new membership and just let her go pay as you go again but they said no. After a lot of toing and froing I had to accept responsibility for her which was no problem. She is 13 was only looking to use the bike and treadmill. All in all I love this gym but please be more pragmatic if you don't have staff available don't insist on something.

I've been going to Girdwood gym now for…
I've been going to Girdwood gym now for 4 weeks. On my 1st day, the receptionist showed me around the place, and introduced me to the gym instructor, and told him I had a bad back. He offered to show me exercises to do, to help. I haven't took him up on that, as I'm happy just having a steam and shower. But, basically very helpful and friendly work team, nearly every1 of them say hello as they walk past you. U also just pay monthly, with no contact. The best gym I've ever been a member of, and I'm going 2 gyms over 30 years now. Very relaxing place to visit.

I am very sorry to hear you are not enjoying your membership at the Girdwood Community Hub due to the range of equipment and the price of the membership fees. We feel like our membership fees are fair for the range of activities included in the membership. However, if the centre you have joined does not have the range of equipment you require for your exercise you can request to transfer your membership to an alternative Better operated venue if this would suit your needs better. To do this you can email our Customer Service Team and they will assist you with the changes. You can find our email details at the bottom of our home page under Contact Us.
