another travel agent that doesn't care once got your money
what a shame was just starting to think i had found a half decent travel agent, but no it seems not.
have just come back from a trip to Thailand with this company.
on my return i called them to say i had some serious concerns,
i had booked transfers, hotel and flights with this company.
in the taxi on the way to the hotel the driver called someone on his phone and then past the phone to me stating it was for me, i was very confused but took the call, and was greeted by a lady who said she was calling to arrange our welcome meeting, but as it was so late was tomorrow morning ok, i said yes as i did want to discuss some trips anyway.
we met in the hotel reception area and she went through trips and i booked three.
unfortunately me and my son were very sick by time the 3rd trip was coming around and i messaged her 2 days before the first time to say we might not make it and i would keep her informed.
just as my son got better i came down ill and so we had to cancel the trip, i asked for either a partial refund or could we move the trip to the following day and was told no to both would just have to loose my money,
i went to the hotel reception to complain and they didn't no who she was, i explained we did a welcome meeting in front of them if they didn't know who she was why were they letting her do this in there hotel.
on my return i informed bluebay travel and at first they acted concerned and asked me to put it all in writing and once i wasted my time doing this, they came up with loads of excuses why it was nothing to do with them.
well why ask me to put in writing then, we unfortunalty have another trip booked with them, if i had not of already paid i would be cancelling it.

We are sorry to learn that you were disappointed with the responses you received regarding the excursions you booked locally in Thailand.
The excursion was booked and paid for directly with a third-party excursion provider and was not part of your holiday booking with us.
However, when you contacted us after your holiday, we asked you to provide the details in writing so that we could pass them to the relevant transfer company. Unfortunately, they have advised they are unable to offer a refund or any further assistance, as the excursion was not booked directly through them.
We would also like to clarify that, while third-party local representatives and excursion providers may arrange to meet guests at their hotel, this does not mean that the excursion was operated by or contracted through the hotel.
We appreciate that this is not the outcome you had hoped for, and we are sorry that you remain dissatisfied. However, as the excursion was a separate third-party arrangement there is unfortunately no further action we can take regarding a refund of the cost of the cancelled excursion on this occasion.

3 times out of 4 bad experiences.
This is the fourth holiday booked with BlueBay and apart from the first, there has always been problems since.
Second trip to Jamaica, I was abandoned in Jamaica, alone, no money, no food, no accommodation, my wifes luggage with her medication in and my emergency diabetic medication still on board with my wife.
Since complaining to the airline, I have been told that as Blue Bay booked the flights, then they should be dealing with my complaint.
Went to them and they never responded.
Third holiday the price leaped up overnight by a considerable amount, but believed them when they said that was normal.
However the latest one is not so believable.
Does anyone know what the word "quote" means?
It means a "fixed" price not flexible as in the term Estimate.
We got a "quote" of £1,940 for our trip to Cape Verde on a call at 14:15
We said yes.
Something went wrong at their end with the payment, so they called us back at 16:15 to finalise taking payment only for us to find out that the "quoted" price has gone up to £2,079, another £139!
Why?
It wasnt our fault, so why should we get stung with such a price jump!
Their explanation "holidays go up in price," well that's true but as I have subsequently found, they also go down, as some people I know heard about our trip and booked exactly the same duration from the same airport at the same hotel for the same accommodation and got theirs for £900/each!
So £1,800 total, with Tui as well.
Isn't that strange.
Also my wife has a mobility need and we wete told that as we wete asking for airport assistance we would get extra legroom on the plane!
Another lie, sorry mistruth.
I dont know how my wife will be able to last for 6 hours cramped up in the seats given, so she was offered aisle seats!
What was the point in that!
She has a bad hip, but how do they know what side is bad, so allocating one side aisle seats doesn't help, however more importantly she has a cage in her back and that means both legs are bad so an aisle seat is bloody useless.
I hope the person sat next to us doesn't want to sleep much as my wife will need to get up and move around often to stretch her back due to having no leg room.
So feeling thoroughly pissed off, I would have given Blue Bay 4 star and even 5 star before we went to Jamaica, but each saga they are getting less and less.

I am sorry to hear that you remain unhappy with your experience. However, I can confirm that your booking has already been fully reviewed, and you have received a response directly from our Customer Service Management Team regarding the concerns you have raised.
As previously explained, the cost of your holiday increased between the initial quotation and the point at which your booking was confirmed. We appreciate that this was disappointing; however, holiday prices are based on a live pricing system and are subject to change at any time depending on availability and demand, particularly during periods of late availability. Unfortunately, these price changes are outside of our control.
I can also confirm that our Sales Team had already applied a significant discount to your booking, resulting in a price that was lower than the equivalent holiday booked directly with the supplier. Having taken this into consideration, we are unable to offer any further discount or compensation.
The revised holiday price was applicable before your booking was confirmed. At that stage, you had the opportunity to consider alternative dates, hotels or destinations if the revised price was not acceptable to you. You chose to proceed with the booking at the revised price, and the booking was therefore confirmed on that basis.
Regarding your allocated seats, we contacted the Supplier to reiterate your preference not to have seats directly in front of you. As previously advised, when you initially raised concerns regarding your allocated seats, we contacted the supplier on your behalf. The supplier provided alternative seating options; however, based on the feedback you subsequently provided, these alternatives were also not acceptable to you. Your current seats remain allocated together, as confirmed in our previous correspondence.
If you would like to discuss this further, please do not hesitate to contact us directly. We would be more than happy to answer any additional questions you may have.
