We visited your Busy Bee centre in Ryde yesterday and were overwhelmed with the transformation. We’d heard from several people how different it is now. It’s a beautiful garden centre and we were especially impressed with three things.

The first being the plants, the quality is second to none. Both indoor when you first walk in ~ wow factor! And the outdoor plants, what a selection!!!

The second was the new layout, we loved walking through the household section, what stunning things you now have! I couldn’t resist your new candles and home fragrances.

And the third was the customer service provided by Kevin on the check outs. What a cheerful man, it was very busy and he gave everyone the same attention. We were watching from the queue and he should be a role model across your shops! After running our own hotel in Shanklin for many (too many!) years we know good service.

We will most definitely come back with our bigger car next time.

Barton Grange has an excellent range of products for sale. Lots of quirky gifts & the farm shop has high quality delicious food items. The customer service is of a high standard, friendly & helpful, nothing is ever too much trouble for them. I would definitely recommend a visit.

My wife and I recently purchased an "Alfresco" 3mx 3m pergola from Grosvenor Garden Centre, Chester, and we were disappointed to learn that they could not offer any guidance regarding its construction. They could not offer to build it, or to supply any information regarding who we could approach. We are both in our 80's, and so building this ourselves was not really an option. Whilst the instructions for the build were comprehensive, we quickly realised that we would need to seek help. Unfortunately, our search produced number of 'Handyman' offers, but none with experience of putting up a pergola. It is recommended that at least two people would be required, but in our experience a minimum of 3 is required at some stages of the construction. We finally decided on a company who sold and erected garden rooms thinking they might be a better choice, but one week after the build we find problems with the blind mechanism and we wait for them to return to fix. In my view Blue Diamond should not really be selling these high price items without the back up of offering a construction service.

My husband and my self had a Sunday dinner here today,
I ordered lamb he had three meat selections.My partner
pulled a quite sharp chicken bone from his mouth which
caused discomfort with his teeth during the meal. We had to order extra gravy as the meal was COLD.We never
send food back(horror stories as why not to).We addressed this after and waited quite a while for them to
come over and see to our issues with the meal. We were met with I am sorry! We have been for food on many
occasions and not had any problems! But we just felt like
we could not just walk out without complaining as it was not cheap! We will never return for a Sunday dinner and are highly disappointed about how we were treated!
terrible service! If you want a hot decent Sunday dinner look elsewhere. Hope this saves someone some money!

I visited Trelawney today. Amazing stock and lots of great offers on bedding plants. Staff really helpful both at till and with loading car.

There is always a nice calm atmosphere in the garden centre so browsing isn’t to be rushed. The plants are first class and expert advice is always available. The clothes, homeware and gift selection is also very good with plenty of choice.

A lovely trip to Matlock garden centre. Lovely plants, restaurant and friendly helpful check out staff.

Always a great experience at this garden centre,plants always healthy,so many nice clothes to choose from and some bargains too.Purchased my garden furniture from there and always get my heart shaped slate tiles from there,haven’t been in restaurant recently but due to visit next friday

I would not have given Leaf Creative, Huntley even one star after my visit there on Tuesday! I went with my partner to source a special rose for a friend as it has been; by a long way; the best plant centre in the locality. Only to find the plant area littered with fallen plants, broken branches and crushed flowers, spilt compost and empty pots. Yes, the weather was breezy on occasion but that didn't account for the devastation. Additionally, when I picked up a plant to rescue it the compost was bone dry. This wasn't just a simple one off event. They had been neglected for many days. We tried to have lunch but more than half of the menu was not available as they were short on supplies and had no chef! Our selections from the very limited choices were presented well below par. The staff at Leaf Creative have been very good at their job and welcoming but they are now clearly disenchanted and struggling to give customer satisfaction. All in all management of the transition between companies has either suffered from ineptitude or deliberate sabotage.
I am still negatively moved about what I experienced on Tuesday. I have been a very regular visitor and purchaser of the quality plants and goods which used to be available but will not be going back until I learn that normal service has been resumed.
The previous owner must be horrified to learn what has become of his enterprise.

Excellent choice of plants. Great friendly informative staff. A very good overall experience.

Visited Van Hague garden restaurant for afternoon tea today in Great Amwell. Had a really delicious tea with three friends. Such a reasonable price as well. Beautifully presented and lovely staff checking we were ok and topping up our tea pots.
We will be returning soon!

The visit to the Riverside Cafe was excellent as always.
The food is always very good with a good selection to choose from.
The staff are always very friendly and helpful. It makes such a difference.

very rigid Menu - 4 friends decided to have a sunday lunch 0n 07/06/26 at the restaurant in Newent glos.
staff were friendly enough but not trained to deal with changes.
i could not have the scampi because chicken is also fried in the same fryer - so i opted for ploughman and asked to omit the ham and pork pie as i need kosher meals. this they said would do but the charge would be the same ??? surely this cannot be right ???
then asked for cheese salad which they refused as not on the menu !!! by this time i was getting really frustrated do just decided to order anything that looked vegetarian - which came in tiny bowls.... asked for this to be served with the bread they do for sandwiches once again refused and was given ordinary bought in sliced bread bought from supermarket with butter.
asked for coleslaw which did not arrive and on asking said it was not added so not paid for!!
one of my friends asked for chips with her sandwiches but was served crisps by mistake which was changed
one of the other friend ordered the kale and squash pie with mash potatoes - this came with roast potatoes again on questioning this taken away with a grump and brought back with all other vegetables taken off and a dollop of mash potatoes dumped next to the pie !!!
a very disappointing sunday lunch.
an e-mail came asking for feedback - so i did and the reply i had was it is what it is they do not change things on the menu i find this very hard to understand !!
hence this review on trustpilot - as more people need to look at the menu before they decide to eat here.

Unfortunately due to your rigidity will not be eating here again.

Went to one in wendover yesterday, It must have breached disabled rules by having the parking, but making you walk round a maze of hundreds of yards to exit. Glad we didnt purchase anything to carry.
WON'T BE VISITING AGAIN, WILL STICK WITH CHIPPERFIELD AS USUAL. 50% off large garden tubs at present.

I visited the Blue Diamond Garden centre in the Stour Valley retail park Chartham on 6th June. We had a wonderful shopping experience with lots of different sections to browse and buy. The clothing and home sections had a great selection of goods at very reasonable prices.
We finished off by having lunch in the cafe/restaurant. I was very impressed with the choice of food and beverages on offer and at reasonable prices. The food was delicious and presented nicely. . The staff in the cafe were all very helpful and friendly. The cafe is bright and airy.
We enjoyed the experience so much we returned 2 days later to try something else on the menu which was also excellent.
The cakes were amazing.

Staff are always helpful and friendly, also like the set up of the garden centre everything is easy to find. Restaurant is very good reasonably priced food usually very good

BARTON GRANGE (now blue diamond)

What a disappointment. Many of the plants obviously had lack of water as they were wilting and didn’t look healthy. The place was crammed with plants on trollies waiting to be either put on display or taken to the compost heap. Difficult to get around due to these trollies.

Will NOT be going back for another visit.
