I bought a Bush Fire TV from Argos on the 6th September 2022 for £270. Almost to the day two years later the LCD screen packed up. Being as it was in a holiday home, which we only visit at weekends, I can only assume that Bush TVs are made with sub-standard components and not fit for purpose. Awful products at extortionate prices!

I am writing to bring to your immediate attention a serious incident that occurred with my Bush washing machine. Recently, while it was operating, the machine began making an extremely loud noise, which prompted me to stop the cycle and empty it. My 18-month-old grandson was with me at the time and, as children often do, he was eager to help. After I had emptied the machine and closed the door, it suddenly exploded with the glass door going everywhere.

Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt, but the incident could have easily caused severe injury, especially to my young grandson. This was a terrifying experience, and I believe it raises serious safety concerns.

I would like to request an investigation into this matter, as this kind of malfunction is completely unacceptable. Please advise on the next steps for addressing this issue, and I urge you to take immediate action to ensure the safety of your customers.

Absolutely terrible support! Within 6 months dryer broke took 4 months and multiple repair men sent out to fix. Then washer goes just weeks after and they refuse to honour warranty as I have cut the end of the waste pipe off as there was too much excess which one or the advisors agreed with! Absolutely terrible customer service and will not be purchasing from Argos again what a complete waste of money.

Purchased a Bush Tumble Dryer through Argos at £170. Used it approx 12 times. Still well inside its 1 year warranty. Completely broken. Won't dry clothes, casing gets hot and the extractor is not working. After much hassle on the phones trying to get through to technical support and having to send in photos they have reused to pay or repair due to it being used in an outhouse which has mains electricity and heated but still goes against their policy.
So be warned do not tell them its in an outbuilding. It doesn't pay to be honest.

*** update... my husband is an engineer and once we realised the warranty was invalid he took the back off to find the fan belt had snapped. It appears the fan belt was glued together in 2 places. This was rubbing on a pulley which hadnt veen positioned correctly. It's not unusual to have belts glued together to get into position but I would question why glue in 2 places. Clearly this machine had been poorly manufactured.

Terrible attitude - cant believe that Argos would support such a grim outfit - cynical in the extreme - its not a “help” line - its a let avoid the guarantee line

Use to like Bush decades back. They wete cheap & cheerful.
Sadly All though this is a late review its because I made do with any casting from my phone. Basically probably about 7/8 years back I bought my daughter a Bush smart TV with built in dvd player..The TV wasn't used for a while and then when we set it up for her in her new bedroom it was only used occasionally & when we had Netflix. But without being subsvribed netflix there was nothing as She told me that the YouTube didn't work on it, but I had just assumed she didn't know what she didnt know what she was doing. Fast forward a few years later when she doesn't live here and being unwell & bed bound I put the TV next to my bed & Low & behold when I've gone to play any videos on YouTube. They won't play it just goes to blank screen despite showing screen captions of videos. Of course even store downloads doesn't work & it seems there's no way to update anything.. it really annoyed me at the time but as I had a Anycast for my main TV I kind of let it go because I've just been casting phone to tv. But that's broke due to angle it has to bend now. So I'm left with using its temperamental dvd player That's it or buying a new Anycast. Yes we have had it years but the fact my daughter was right from the onset all those years back that YouTube doesn't work bugs ne. It Annoys me they sold these tvs knowing they had NO INTENTION of allowing them to UPDATE its system despite it having a auto search update in place ( which I have now clicked to try manually & there has NEVER been any app & system updates sent out by Bush for this model since they sold them in 2015. The date is still on their) They've totally missed sold a product as a smart TV by selling it without of date apps already installed and then on top never releasing any further updates. Wouldn't buy again

Awful quality appliance. Rusted badly on both doors at 14 months old, Bush wouldn’t entertain any kind of refund or even repairs. Please don’t spend your money on this trash.

I bought a Bush washing machine from Argos, April 2023.its now June 2024 and the bearings are going already. I don't put in heavy loads or over use. As it's only under warranty for 1 year, they are not interested and the helpline is a dead end and just cuts you off. The machine is basically useless as the design of machine does not allow you to replace just the bearings. (plastic) Please don't throw your good money away on a Bush product.

Bought bush washing machine and dishwasher the washer packed up just after the 2 year mark and the dishwasher stopped working today I paid a lot of money for this brand and now they hardly last won't buy this brand again no way

I was given a Bush portable CD player as a birthday present, It worked ok for a few weeks and then stopped. I contacted Bush for a repair or replacement as the player is clearly not fit for purpose. Bush Support were initially helpful. But when they discovered the CD player was purchased via Amazon and not Argos they refused to help and told me to contact the seller. The original seller is refusing to replace the product as it's more than 30 days since purchase. I went back to Bush who simply aren't interested. So I'm left with a non-working Bush product that Bush insist has nothing to do with them. Poor product backed by even worse customer service. Avoid!!

To say this brand is owned by Sainsbury's makes the customer service even more woeful.

If I could give zero I would. They put themselves first before the customer and try and avoid/delay repairs as much as possible and ask for meaningless information/photos? A belt has literally fell off our washing machine after just 7 months and you want us to send a photo of a serial number!! How on earth will this help? Do you not trust the information the customer's provide you?

Reading other reviews I's be embarrassed to be associated with the brand and Sainsbury's don't seem to care as there is no improvement in the reviews.

Never ever will I trust Sainsbury's, Argos or Bush if they don't trust me

My new bush washing machine had to be repaired within 6 months. Fair play it was fixed. Now out of warranty the exact same fault has occurred. Because the repair was over 3 months ago it’s not covered. Actually it basically is a faulty machine. Now need to buy a new one. Terrible product. Terrible service.

Avoid this brand.

Someone i know has a bush washing machine in black. Crap quality. It hits the glass with 3 small wet towels and the fast 60 minutes olny does one rinse.

I would’ve bought this brand if they stuck to the aq12w models that i used to Have. Sadly they got discontinued. Hopefully that bush brings back the aq12w models. I liked them old models.

Not good at starting first thing in morning. Have had new software sent but definitely not 100%reliable. Tv under 2yrs old
Only got it as Sainsbury store is near. Wouldn’t do that again.

Was bought a washing machine as a gift 11 months ago the drum has dropped and it's completely useless and broken. Support said I'm unable to do anything without the order number. However the person that gifted the washing machine has passed away so this is not possible. Take note whenever you gift someone at bush machine but immediately has no warranty unless you give them the receipt as well!

On Sunday the 7th April 2024, my washer while in spin mode started smoking. I contacted argos on twitter straight away.  Especially as my washer was only brought on the 18th December 2023 and delivered on 21st December 2023.  So by the time this happened it was barely 3 months old.  So it is under warranty still.  My last washer last me 12 years, the one before that 10 years.  So you can imagine how shocked, upset and stressed I am over this machine not even lasting 5% of the time they did.  

Argos arranged for pacifica engineer to attend on the 16th April 2024.  I turned up at the same time as the gentleman and greated him friendly.  He was off but I took that as his not a people person. He came in returned to his van than come back.  The form deleted information on him after he took photo of my photo I had of it smoking.  He then pulled it out checked the plug, then checked the drum by spinning it half way.  He then told us he was done, I reminded him about retaking the photo, he said it was done.  As he was leaving I asked him how long until we know and he told me they will ring within 24hours to arrange delivery of new washer. 

I then continually messaged argos on twitter.  They kept saying they haven't had the report back. Finally today 22nd April 2024 I was contacted to be told he found no faults and it was safe to use.  Please see twitter on how it started smoking again.  They also informed me I have to pay £95 (as I've been getting quotes) to provide my own report.  Even after I sent video of it smoking again, they informed me not to use it.  I was also promised a call back today from an executive manager that never happened. 

Today after me threatening legal action to argos and pacifica as they have placed our lives in danger, Argos started deleting messages on Twitter. This is extremely poor customer service.  I did originally just want a machine swap but now I want a full refund.  As I will go to curry's as I have done before. 

Try registering a Bush product for their warranty? The page does not exist, and the link from their website goes nowhere.
Obviously they don't want you to have your product registered!

Hi we’re dog sitting for my wife’s sister as she is on holiday in Thailand. DVD player loaned from my mother in law’s as my sister in law’s Bush DVD player completely stopped working. It seems that if you want a good quality dvd player buy a brand name version. Instead of Chinese knock offs which are rubbish . Brands like Sony, JVC, ect are much better quality.

Got a bush tv, got horizontal lines 1 day after the 12 month warranty, the price to repair more than the cost of the TV , never ever buy BUSH , literally every other company is better quality and better customer support
