The call centre was very helpful and…
The call centre was very helpful and made it very easy for my mother to understand the contract.
The equipment arrived within two days of the inquiry.
Also very easy to install.

Efficient Service
We have just purchased a plan for my stepmother. From start to finish i.e. requesting a brochure and then ordering a pendant it was a seamless process.
We today installed the equipment and tested the pendant. The person who answered the test call was very efficient so we have every confidence in it being the same service if she has to use the pendant.

Jenny's help
I received my Careline and contacted Jenny at Market Rasen Surgery and she visited me in my home and set it up. Without her help I could not have done it on my own.

The pressing of my pendant
It was thought that I had pressed my new pendent ,this I did not do,My family
we’re in France skiing and a phone cal had t be made y them to find if I was alright but was out walking and not at first able to reply.I wonder if I really need
the worry this can cause in having what was my first week with theCareline24 ?

I'm sorry to hear that your pendant was triggered when help was not required. Sometimes when putting down a pendant to leave the home the button can be pressed and will raise an alert without you knowing.
If you had been home we would have spoken to you on the base unit or via a call to your home :) when we are unable to make contact with you directly, we do then contact key holders to ensure that you are safe.
Would you be able to get in touch with us and provide a mobile number? This way, should a call of this nature happen again, we can contact you directly before contacting your keyholders to reduce any worry for you and your family.

The apparatus arrived quite…
The apparatus arrived quite quickly...but there seemed a lot of unnecessary emails before it did..like asking for info I had already provided.
I have set it up today...and there again instructions are confusing...example it has 3 led lights...which should show if its functioning...mine doesn't.. I made a test call..and asked about it...reply wasn't exactly reassuring...said they were only for them setting it up..and would go when our call ended...so obviously hadn't understood what I meant...However it works altho these 3 lights are off.
As this is designed for us older folk ..myself i found it quite stressful...so if you need one ..suggest you ask someone younger to organise it for you....

Very quick service. Easy and clear instructions to install
Very clear operator on the answer phone especially as I am deaf and find difficult to hear on a phone at times

Reasonably priced, and easy to install. My father in law accidentally pressed his alarm and the lady who responded was pleasant and professional.

Do Not Buy This Product
Do not buy this product. My Mother who has dementia fell twice and neither time did the alarm work. I was told after first fall it was not a hard enough fall, the second fall she broke her hip and again it did not activate. I found her on floor blue around the mouth and then called paramedics. I have returned the equipment , l will not get a refund under the Terms and Conditions despite the fact it did not do what l purchased it to do therefore resulting in a life threatening situation. Be aware this is not suitable for people who do not have the mental capacity to know to press the pendant therefore contradicting its sales patter.
In response to Vikky, after my Mothers first fall we reported this to customer services, this report however was not logged, also on return of the unit they also failed to send the confirmation letter to confirm they had received it so l had to follow that up myself,so administration not great. l also take issue as l purchased the fall censor so l would have peace of mind if my Mother did not remember to press button. The fall broke her hip so must have been a heavy fall.

We understand that the cancellation arose from your mother entering a care home facility, with each careline alarm plan there is a minimum 12-month contract period along with a 14-day cooling-off period. If a request to cancel the service after the 14-day cooling-off period is made, it is in our terms and conditions (section 10:2) that all charges are due to the end of the minimum contract period.
If there were any worries or discrepancies regarding the equipment, our customer service team would have happily helped advise and in some instances replace any equipment, should this be necessary. Every piece of equipment is tested by our technical team before dispatching to ensure they are working correctly, although rare, on occasion the fall sensor may not be triggered by a fall due to the fall's impact. Our customer service team ensure each customer is made aware that users will be required to push the alarm button on the fall sensor in this situation.
We understand that purchasing a device such as a fall sensor brings with it an element of trust that a device will trigger in the event of a fall. Because of this, we give clear guidance on the aspects of the fall, required to create an automatic trigger. However, we also agree that sadly not every fall or situation can be picked up by the technology, which like any piece of equipment is not infallible. Therefore, they have an integrated button on them. Sadly, where a user is no longer able to recognise the need to push for assistance, no matter the circumstances, it may be that the service we provide is no longer adequate. We hope that mum makes a speedy recovery and settles into her new home.
