I met with a few different companies when I was looking to get a hip to gable loft conversion done. From the start my impression of CL was that they were the most responsive and professional of the companies that I had contacted. Their price was also very competitive. Pre-contract and planning stages were handled very well, our ideas and requirements were taken on board and they were always available if we had any additional questions. During the build stage Renatas and his team were excellent. They were polite, professional and stuck to the promised timeframes. They also have an app that is used to update the customer on costs, build stage and so on which I thought was excellent. They stayed within the quoted costs even though we made some changes during the build process. All in all an excellent company that I would absolutely recommend to others. Well done Central Lofts!

We had our loft converted about 4 months ago and would like to say how easy the process was without delay and built on time with our project manager keeping us informed all steps of the build.
Thanks very much especially to the electrician who even doubled up as a baby sitter! LOL!

Central Lofts recently completed our rear dormer loft extension to our home in Bromley and we are delighted with the final result.
We received a number of quotes and decided to go ahead with CL after being recommended from two of our neighbours. Our home project was completed on time and within our budget.
Here’s what we liked about CL:

- CL took care of the design drawings and planning application for us and explained the best options for us to get the most space.
- Renatas kept in touch throughout communicating through their app they use which is really handy and a great way for keeping all our information and contact in one place.
- CL’s builders were all friendly, hard working and professional. Misha and his team were great! Thank you again!
- Our build was completed on time within the contracted timeline which is always a plus with any building works as things can overrun from past experiences. We now have our lovely new loft room finished in time for winter.
- They’ve also made sure we’ve received all the final paperwork from the building control inspectors.

Overall our experience with Central Lofts has been very positive, especially with Covid effecting everything. We’d definitely use them again in the future.

Removed all our worries

As we live in a protected area, we were concerned about the planning permission process. Our project manager was really great, he did all of the necessary paperwork, and made sure that everything was done to the letter to make sure we got the right permission through.

I’ve just had my last visit from Central Lofts, and I’m so pleased with the work that they’ve done. From start to finish, they were great to work with, and the quality of the build is absolutely excellent. Would recommend them to anyone.

Some of the best builders I have ever come across. My loft conversion was done well within the time and the team were fantastic. Very little disruption even though we were all working from home. Renatas was superb always answered my questions and nothing was too much trouble. The builders were remarkable, so efficient, always on time and have done a brilliant job! Would def recommend this company. I was so nervous about doing this but no regrets at all. I am in my loft and absolutely love the extra space and en-suite. Thank you to the team!!

We really needed new space in our house as we were about to have a new baby. We were so pleased with the ideas that Central Lofts gave us as we didn’t want to move. They made the whole process a lot smoother, and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them.

Very happy with the end result -
Our loft conversion has been completed by Central Lofts after our friend recommended the company to us. Due to Covid we needed the extra space as we are now both working from home and are using one of our rooms as an office. We have now been left with a lovely large double bedroom in the loft with an en-suite.

All of Central Lofts workers were competent and friendly and our new loft has been finished to a very good standard.

The best advice I can give anyone interested in a loft conversion is to figure out how many sockets you need and where exactly you want them as decisions will need to be made fast once your project starts!

I have to say, Central Lofts done a fantastic, fantastic job on my loft conversion. The biggest worry was the disruption to day to day life whilst the work was carried out, however the team absolutely took care of us throughout the project.

The bathroom turned out amazing, the room was built to suit us and turned out perfect now its completed. Any questions i had during the build, Renatas was there to help and do his best to get me what i needed done. I can not fault the service, commitment and work ethic from Central Lofts.

The project was completed on time if not faster than expected, and the standard of work is great. During the build as a homeowner you are always concerned about little things that could go wrong. I can tell you now, hire a professional company and you will be fine. I have no regrets using central lofts!

My usual roofer came to have a look at the build and even he stayed how excellent the work was. Each tile on the dormer was nailed in to prevent any falling off. We also have spare tiles to colour match in case of any future build or damages later on.

Loft conversion was done in 2018. Have had to re do whole roof as wasn't done properly. Cannot contact the individuals as no telephone number or email address seems to work.

Note they have replied saying they are a different company. They are not, they are just trading as a new company. The underlying entity, Anglian Construction Ltd, is the same

The team at Central lofts keep flagging my review to Trustpilot with minor challenges. It appears you can only use someones name in a positive review so I'll leave that issue with Trustpilot and edit mine.

I’m was recently exploring how CLL deal with some challenges in terms of aftercare. I was really looking forward to outstanding customer service. I knew the original company had gone bankrupt in April 2019 but the same directors with the same website (save for tweak in name) were operating using content, images and reviews from the former company.

My GRP roof has failed and had to be replaced - it’s 3 years old. It had actually began to show problems at 18 months with extensive leaks and damage to the property inside as a result.

The 'contracts manager' provided some guys the first time the problem appeared, but it looks like they just used some filler to mask a much bigger problem.

Trust me, you don’t want to spend 40k on a loft and then be left to sort the issue after only 3 years. Maybe I’m just unlucky.

I was expecting the team at central lofts to resolve the problem. Despite the tweak in the company name I reached out to them on the basis that they'd have some moral backbone and obligations in relation to the work they'd been paid for. I remember the 'Surveyor' who was a salesman, who had assured us of all sorts of guarantees and promises during aftercare. It just didn't happen.

After some exchanges with the 'contracts manager' he told me that the company can’t help me, he always communicates this using a personal email address to remove liability I guess. He told me I should deal with it myself and inferred that It’s unreasonable for me to expect them to repair the roof as they only designed and installed it. I kid you not. He did however say that he was sorry that he couldn't help me this time.

Think very carefully about working with them. They of course will get some work right but don’t end up like me.

To be fair and I kick myself, maybe the signs were there from the start. My brilliant kitchen extension architect looked at the loft plans they drew, the stairs to the loft were the wrong size, and this had a knock on effect to the bathroom. We originally asked for a bigger bathroom, but the company said no as it didn't work with the plans and drawings, so we ordered units to then fit and they 'laughed' when the bathroom was 100mm wider, "it’s how it goes in building" apparently. The job also ran over by a further 8 weeks when the whole loft was complete (already over 8 weeks late) due to the company ordering the wrong sliding door kit 3 times, when it was finally fitted they then realised the bathroom sliding door is too big for the system, "but it’s ok" they suggested. At that point you just want it over.

I’ve managed to get my roof repaired. It wasn't cheap and I've learned a lesson. You're better off steering clear of these guys.

Central lofts did a fantastic job on our L shape loft conversion. The additional two bedrooms and bathroom have really helped us with space for our family of 6 since we’ve been working from home.
The contracts manager was always responsive when answering any questions we had and was also helpful in arranging additional work to our home that we asked to be done halfway through our loft.
We are delighted with their work and would not hesitate to use them again!

Recently had a loft conversation done by Central Lofts, excellent job done can’t fault them at all.
Pasha and Lucas’s team was excellent never too busy to answer any questions we had and always explained in detail as to why and what they were doing providing their expertise every step of the way. Thank you once again to Pasha and Lucas we really appreciate excellent job, it was executed quickly and efficiently. Renata’s and David helped ensure the whole process went swiftly, they were contactable every part of the way keeping us rest assured and they have overdelivered in managing our project and given us a homely loft conversion. It is always great when you are able to contact the management team consisting of Renatas and David as they are active listeners and fulfil the promises they make!

We had a hip to gable rear dormer completed by Central Lofts. The team leader and his guys who built our loft were great, their work has been a much needed addition to our home. I’d highly recommend using this company.

Throughout the process of creating/building my loft, I found them to be informative, quick with the works, putting you in charge of how you envisage the space to be! Professional at each stage.

Recently had our loft converted in Bromley by these guys and they were great. Planning permission was approved which they handled efficiently and the end result is a great addition to our home. Very pleased

We have just had our loft extension completed within the time frame of 8 weeks and we wanted to write this review to state how happy we are with the works and the professionalism from the first stage of quote through to the final snagging.
Myself and and my husband were mostly impressed that we were asked and advised on the layout of our bedroom before the walls were put in place.
We found the project manager and team leader easy to deal with and also were happy to see that the workmen respected our property by keeping it clean everyday.
We would highly recommend Central Lofts.

Absolutely overjoyed with the transformation of my dirty damp old loft into a beautiful 4 th bedroom. The fitters were a great set of guys and very tidy, and stayed on the job from start to finish (not ad hoc days as I have experienced in the past). Highly recommended
