Faulty zip and no company reply yet

Have had goods in past that were ok but last time the trouser zip gave out after only three uses CHUMS ignored my letter of 27 June Will not use them again COTTON TRADERS better !! Mr A Logan. DG8 6HD

Order paid for nothing arrived no reply from company

My 93 year old mother ordered some items from the catalogue paid in full .nothing arrived now been a few weeks ,
TWICE i have emailed the company but no reply . Extremely bad customer service
After reading the many poor reviews what a mistake ordering from this company

Finally delivered no explanation why late and no reply until I made a review
Company are saying they have had issues implementing a new system !!!! Only said this after a true review

Chums attitude

The sandals I ordered were fine. But I am annoyed at finding I have joined , unintentionally a scheme costing me £18 pounds a month! I am elderly and poorly sighted and must have made a mistake. I have cancelled but am told I can’t get my £18 refunded as I had correctly applied. I think this is atrocious. This is the last time I will trade with Chums if this is their attitude.

Poor returns system.

I ordered a pair of pants, unfortunately I ordered Navy Instead of Black. I returned the Item and requested a replacement pair on the enclosed return slip. Since then I have had no communication from Chums despite e-mailing them twice. The sales helpline has a restrictive 13p per minute charge plus you mobile supplier charges, and their other contact number never answers. I wont be purchasing anything from Chums again.

Appalling service

My father placed an order with Chums, half of which arrived. He then became terminally ill & my mother & I have tried to speak to an operative to chadse up / or cancel the remainder to be told, they'd need to speak to him. Watching someone you love die before your eyes & to receive this almost hostile & condescending referral to GDPR is truly awful.

I ordered 2 pairs of trousers and a gilet and they arrived in good time. Unfortunately 1 pair of trousers and the gilet didn't fit, so I sent them back.
Got an e mail back saying that they had received them, then nothing, no refund no credit, my account shows no refund nothing since April!
The Chums site does not allow you to contact them (not that I found) only a premium rate telephone number for ordering. Useless customer service!

Customer Services????

Sent a return back to Chums via Evri (why do companies use this useless company???),who seem to have lost the parcel.Went online,where it stated that Customer Services were open from 9-4pm on a Sunday.Called them,there was an automated mesage stating their opening times,then I was told there would be a 10 minute wait to talk to a friendly advisor.Next,there was a message saying the phonelines were closed and would re-open on Monday morning!!
Why the hell advertise you are open on a Sunday,both online,and on the phoneline if you are not????

BEWARE This company targets the elderly with rip off scams.

BEWARE; This company targets the elderly by signing them up to one of their so called partners at great expense.
My 85 year old hard of hearing mother phoned up to order two pairs of trousers in January for £30.
We have just discovered that those trousers have cost her a total of £246. She was unwittingly targeted by a documented partner of Chums
YOURLOTTOSERVICEUK Ltd !!!!
on the telephone when she placed the order for the sum of £54 per month! My mother is very deaf, gets easily confused and did not understand what the person was saying.
Thank goodness we noticed this otherwise it could have been a lot more.
I have written evidence of this.
Fortunately the bank recognised that this was fraud with NO authority given and refunded the money.
Chums you should be ashamed of yourselves this is a disgraceful act. Targeting vulnerable elderly people with dementia is appalling!!!!
I will be reporting this to Trading Standards and Rip Off Britain.
Update : despite cancelling from your mailing list weeks ago you are still sending catalogues!!!!!

Satisfaction NOT Guaranteed despite their voicemail

Advised Chums as an Advocate that their 1st time customer has tried from 13/6/25 to return a pair of badly fitted sandals. Evri can deliver goods but you have to wait 12hrs for a collection. Despite giving email details for a 2hr slot for delivery advised today 27/6/25 email dets not shown in a/c. Awaiting a 3rd collection date 30/6/25 & call back from a Manager from 11am & no call back. Cannot recommend Chums & 1 star review is far too excessive for this awful customer service.

Shame on you chums!

Not only did chums lose my elderly mums order but cashed the cheque she sent but they also cost over £20 in phone calls trying to get the money back. Not once did they warn it was premium rate number. Shame on you and your so called friendly service line!!😡

Poor fit - actual leg length 2" more than label

Ordered Pegasus jeans with 31 inch leg length -labelled as 31 inch but actual length was 33 inches. Far too long. Either they are measuring incorrectly, or not checking the finished product.

Ordered 2 pairs of Cargo Trousers in…

Ordered 2 pairs of Cargo Trousers in Navy Blue! Got one in Grey and one in Black. The one in Black was also 31 Inch inside leg (I measured it!!!), both should be 29 Inch inside leg!

Should have checked online reviews before ordering as I've read people have had trouble with returns. Will be keeping and hemming up the legs to save myself the mental strife...

False advertising

Seems the price stated in catalogue isn't the purchase price .you have to buy 2 items to get catalogue price .nowhere in the catalogue does it state that fact .agent wasn't helpful or pleasant .

Rang up to ask for my account no because i could not find it on the website as i had to return a pair of trousers. The adviser said i did not need my account no,but on the form it states you do. Also she asked for my e. mail address i gave it to her and she stated that wasn,t the e. mail address on the system. I explained to her that i had received order confirmation at that e. mail address and it was the same one on the web-site. She was very rude and wasn,t having any of it. She gave me my account no, i went to fill out the returns form and on the back of the form it showed my account no, i wasn,t aware of this when i called and just to add insult to injury the account no she gave me did not match the account no on the back of the returns form, so much for their recorded message quote one of our friendly customer advisers will be with you shortly. Needless to say i won,t be ordering any thing from them any more. I expect they,ll make a pigs ear on my return.

I ordered a pair of stretch trousers …

I ordered a pair of stretch trousers which did not fit and sent them back. Not hearing from Chums I contacted them to ask what the situation was. They replied saying that they had the goods but I would have to wait 10 days before hearing from Chums bearing in mind the goods were sent back on the 1 June and I contacted them on the 10th to be told to contact them again in three days time. This is the second time I have had this problem with this company and I will certainly not be using them again.
Would I recommend them a big NO.
Chums have since asked me to contact them so that they can look into the matter but to date I have heard nothing from them. So why ask me to contact them.
Not a good company to deal with.

Trousers are an awful fit. Returned fro credit.

Bought a pair of trousers from Chums and was shocked at the poor fit. They were far too big around the backside and I had to return them immediately for a refund. This is the second time I have bought trousers from them. The first time the trousers were perfect but this second pair was awful. Last time I order from this company.

I ordered two pairs of curtains for my…

I ordered two pairs of curtains for my lounge. When they arrived the colour was different to the advert. However I thought I would hang them as we have guests coming. When they were hung I noticed how creased the bottom of each curtain was. I thought the creases would drop out after a day or two but no such luck. 3 days later just as bad. I tried steam on one curtain but it made no difference. I won't be ordering anything else from Chums unless they can sort this.

Ordered 2 pairs of Pegasus jeans

Ordered 2 pairs of Pegasus jeans, both size 36 waist and 31 leg. One pair was almost 2 inches longer in the leg length and an inch smaller in the waist compared to the other pair. Sent them back and was refunded my money minus the £9.45 delivery charge, so have been charged nearly a tenner for a product that was totally substandard.
