Having used Contractor Umbrella in the past, I was happy to sign up again when I needed a FCSA compliant Umbrella company. I've been dealing with Christina most recently, who has been helpful and reliable at ensuring payroll was processed correctly. There were a couple of small delays initially, but the team have always worked to resolve any queries or concerns very quickly. I've always been paid correctly, and pay statements and documentation is clear. Thanks so much Christina, I'd be happy to use the umbrella again.

It’s early days but at last an umbrella company that answer emails and phone calls. I’m optimistic that after several miserable experiences I’ve found an umbrella company that can actually deliver what they promise.

I've worked as a contractor via Contractor Umbrella twice, for periods of a few months, and I was always very satisfied by the service!
Their support is responsive and efficient, and it feels really good to be supported like this when working as a contractor.

They’ve gone above and beyond in helping me sort out several HMRC issues with my tax code and two incomes. Been working through them for around 1 year and wouldn't use anyone else.

Quick and easy registration, and contacted by my account manager the same day. Been paid several times now and always receive payment and payslip on time. Have recommended to colleagues.

Payments were were consistently late and when chased up they would blame the agency. However when I spoke to the agency they would show proof that payment was sent. They finally admitted it was their fault as they needed to do something so payment would be moved on. However most weeks I would chase this and was told this won’t happen again, but it did...again and again and again. The customer service is shocking considering they assign you a account manager which you pay for anyway!

They also rip you off with fees. I use somewhere else now where I get paid about £50 less a week, yet take home £30 more a week than I did with them.

Considering how often I would have to chase payment because someone didn’t move the payment from the agency to their payroll, I was only refunded the fees once and then I made a point of not paying them for that week out of frustration.

They are a shockingly incompetent company and I would avoid at all costs. Many others out there that offer better services. I would give zero stars if I could

Poor service, I have to chase every week if I am on the payroll. When you call the operators, they cut you off. I would never recommend this company!

My account manager, Mahli, was always quick to respond to my queries and she was great to work with. The onboarding process was simple and the portal for logging hours is also very intuitive.
If payment was delayed, Mahli was always happy to follow up with the other parties to make sure that payments were made in a timely manner. I will be using Contractor Umbrella again. Thank you Mahli!

I was specifically looking for a company that could pay into my SIPP and I have been able to do this with CU. My account was set up in less than hour and my first payment was set up and ready to go into my SIPP. They have been very efficient.

Great all round service
I’m an existing client of Dolan, so it was a no brainier to use Contractor Umbrella, as I don’t have to pay any extra for the umbrella service. Service at Dolan and Contractor Umbrella have been exceptional, using the two together makes everything so easy! Highly recommend.

I have been using Contractor Umbrella for over 4 years and all my experiences with them have been outstandingly good. I have an amazingly helpful and professional Contract Manager who has made every process transparent and effortless on my part, responds very quickly with any query, and makes sure that everything is right first time.
I have received a first class service for very modest fees and can recommend Contractor Umbrella without hesitation.

These guys are absolute scammers!!
You work hard for your money and they still take your money away with all there fees.

Picture already paying for NI & TAX then these absolute scammers still take an EXTRA £20-£30 EVERY WEEK talking about “MARGIN” fees!

If you work for a recruitment agency and they use these guys are pay roll people….RUN!
You won’t see your money that you work hard for!
