Zero spare parts and zero care by the company

We purchased three granite bases for our umbrellas from Gale Pacific. When we needed replaced rubber washers for the base, Gale Pacific said they did not have any spare parts. I asked if I could contact the manufacturer directly (obviously overseas) and they would not give me the details.

The base is useless without that fitting, so despite my protestations to the company rep to import this spare parts for their product, I have received no response. Just silence.

Shade sail defect but service exceptional

I bought a "Ready To Hang" shade sail from Coolaroo with Amazon Spain in 2023. Only one week out in it´s second season after taking it down for the winter, it ripped apart at one corner in moderate/high winds. For my complaint Amazon referred me to Gale Pacific. Turned out that this sail was never supposed to be sold in Europe but how would I know? But boy, the service Gale Pacific gave me was in the 10 star region! They answered promptly, analyzed thoroughly the quality issues, did fancy detective work how that sail came to Europe in the first place and are going to send me a brand new one of a higher quality class for free. Thank you very much Mr. Capella, Sales Manager Europe!!!

Rubbish product and warranty

Rubbish product and warranty. Fell apart half way through the warranty period with the Company slipperier than a bucket full of eels squirming their way out of any warranty obligation.

What a pity - Coolaroo - Gale Pacific

Purchased exterior crank operated blinds with graphite shade cloth. Solid brackets and okay crank winder. PVC shade cloth quality is okay at best, fair enough for the price range. BUT - The main axel of the blind sags or slumps badly over 2.4 metres, let alone the 3 metre span. Easily rectified by putting breaks in the tubing during manufacture if the cared, but they don’t. This causes the blind to roll badly when retracting. Maybe Gale Pacific is a hobby business for a bored partner or something..?
This company also has a penchant for avoiding reviews for their products. A product is only as good as its weakest component, so my review score for Coolaroo Outdoor blinds is 1 star. Could so easily be much higher but because Coolaroo don’t care about the consumer experience, they hide behind their dealers and their clearly couldn’t care less about our planet, Gale Pacific/ Coolaroo Australia get a big, fat raspberry from me. Buy their products for a “what a pity” consumer experience.
Looks like the pet bed is the only universally acceptable Coolaroo product on the market.
Manufacturer to a level of excellence or not at all..!

Never ever again and…

Contacted for a replacement part and all they sent was an automated response that they had received my email. Terrible customer service, not even the courtesy to respond in person. I would never ever recommend this company as their customer service has to be one of the worst in Australia and NZ. Product seems ok, pit the same can't be said for their customer service. SUCKS.

My Coolaroo cantilevered sun umbrella…

My Coolaroo cantilevered sun umbrella is good quality, but unavoidably at some point the cord, which is the weakest component, will need to be replaced, and when that happens Gale Pacific doesn't provide any support: neither do they do the maintenance themselves, nor can they refer you to companies that do, and if you try to do it yourself, well, good luch because the casing of the crank clearly was not designed to ever be opened again after manufacture. Gale Pacific couldn't even provide instructions on how to do it...

Seemingly, the company expects the customer to throw away a perfectly good umbrella just because the cord broke, which is sad. What about the right to repair????

TERRIBLE customer service and order will be overdue and incorrect.

We special ordered our shades, were told it would take a month. We were patient. 2 weeks in we were told it would take an additional 2 weeks. Today, 6 weeks later, the installer brought the shades and they were cut incorrectly. Home Depot called Coolaroo and they said it would be another 4 weeks (undoubtedly 6 weeks). No offer to expedite or appologize. This company has terrible customer service. NEVER use them. There are plenty of other shade companies out there.

Amazing storm recovery!

I have three coolaroo outdoor shades. While I have had poor experiences with receiving warranty parts I must give kudos when appropriate.
I just lived through a horrendous storm that was so intense it looked like a Wizard of Oz remake. In the height of the storm one shade , a ten foot wide one, was pulled completely open and was battered around for a full half hour. I knew it was a goner.
Shockingly when I was able to get outside I slipped the bottom rod back into position and pulled it up like nothing had happened.
Kudos to Coolaroo for one sturdy product!

Coolaroo Dog Beds

Having bought a raised dog bed several years ago, I managed to lose one of the rubber feet from it recently. I contacted the head office via the website and within 48 hrs had the offer of free replacement. The product itself is absolutely fantastic and well worth the price..Lasts for ages
