I bought an Easi-build loft ladder via Wickes, which was delivered quickly, but unfortunately was missing a few parts. Storm was very helpful and sent out the replacement parts without delay.
These things occasionally happen and it's the support that can make or break the experience and in this case, I was quite happy with the speed/quality of support received.
The ladder is also very good quality, and was very easy to install.
Ordered a Werner ladder via Toolstation. Placed the order on 4th August and it was delivered on 6th August unfortunately it was very poorly packaged and the ladder was very scuffed and damaged. It's not clear whether it was damaged in transit or whether this is Werner's poor quality control. I waited in almost 10 hours for the delivery because the courier service they use (DX Delivery) only provide a 10 hour timeslot and they can't (or won't) provide a more accurate time on the day despite calling them. Werner agreed to arrange collection and a full refund. Collection was scheduled for 15th August but after waiting in from 8am to 5pm I called DX Delivery only to be told they wouldn't be able to collect it and had rescheduled collection for the following day. They assumed I had another spare 10 hours to hang around indoors on the off chance that they might actually turn up. At the time of writing this review I have yet to see whether they actually collect the ladder and until they do I continue to wait for a refund.
Placed an order for goods on 14th August and assumed delivery would be a few days. Rang the company after a week to be told some bits out of stock but I should have them the following week. Rang again after a month to be told still out of stock, so I asked when they would be available. I was told they would ring me back with an update. Still waiting! Its now been over 2 months, they have taken my money and I have no idea if or when I will ever see the goods. Will never deal with them again and suggest everyone avoids.
Orderd loft ladder part on 10th july and paid for next day service waited week and then sent them email and got reply after 3 days part s out of stock and will be coming following week and then sent email again got reply after 2 days saying its delay again till 27th july then 4th of aug and today they are saying 11th of august

I'm awarding 1 star only because there is no option for zero! Avoid this company as they will fail to supply the ladder you've ordered and will just keep promising that it'll arrive the following week... Absolutely hopeless. I ordered and paid for my ladder on 7 June and now it's 18 July and still no sight of it... just more empty promises from Werner!!
Ordered Ladder stabiliser as mine was damaged, on 22nd February and heard nothing for a week. Then sent 2 emails (No reply) and 4 phone calls (1 hung up with laughter) before finally speaking to Rebecca who true to her word sorted the problem and sent the correct part which was received the next day. We got there in the end (2 weeks) but a lot of people rely on their ladders for their livelihood and need them/spares quickly.
Fantastic customer service the team went above and beyond my expectations.... I was missing a piece and they sent 1 out with question or hesitation !!! Hats off to John s
I have a ladder that had an uneven base and still covered under the warranty and got rudely told that it’s not covered because it was passed the 30 day period. But it has a 1 year warranty as I read out to the rude representative. They continued to deny everything and not listen to a word I said as it had this issue from the beginning and I happen to be cleaning out my garage I saw it was under warranty and gave them a call. I was then hung up on… never ordering a Werner ladder again. What a scam.
Ordered a small part for a loft hatch opener in November 2022 and still not received as of today 18th January 2023! Absolutely appalling customer service as they totally ignore emails and give no response at all. No part received and no refund given. How do they get away with this?
I ordered some ladder feet almost two weeks ago & after a week began to wonder where they were. Tried to contact Werner co through email, which didn't get a reply so after a few more days looked again & saw there was a QR code which I scanned, then I was told to progress further I had to download Shop app which I reluctantly did, then I had to input my personal details on a form & it said I had to confirm it through my email, so went to my email. This took me to outlook which I don't use, wanted me to link my paypal & various other things which I wasn't going to do. I looked through their FAQ section which I'm sure is just lip service as it sent me round in circles, ended up sending another message to Werner co asking where my ladder feet had got to. Why do they talk so friendly but care so little?
I ordered spare parts for a loft-ladder, online, and the order was confirmed by email. Three days later, as I needed parts urgently, I emailed customer-care to ask when delivery would be and was given an automated ref. number. No reply by next day, so rang CC who said they would chase the order. Next day, still no response to email or phone call. I emailed CEO directly; still no response. Update: finally received an email this morning to tell me item had been despatched, then a few hours later it was delivered by RM 2nd Class. So, service is actually quite good, but they need to sort out their comms to customers.
I’m still waiting for the ladders to be delivered. Apparently, Werner are not obliged to provide tracking numbers or communicate with their customers regarding delivery! Hilarious!
I have cancelled my order.
Recieved a badly damaged ladder, and unusable, but non existent customer service. Must have really bad management if they allow such poor service, sending out a damaged ladders in the first place just shows how bad they must be set up. Yet another company that doesnt have a clue about after sales support, I just dont get how large companies can operate such a poor shoddy service.
Still waiting on " a phone call " to get the damaged ones picked up? Why cant they just email a date and get it done. I even had to hire ladders in the interim until these are replaced, cisting me even more and i spent £330 so expect a decent after sales service.
I purchased a Youngman loft access hatch called a Click76, it was not cheep and was professionally fitted.
This product Youngman and Boss manufactured by Werner were builder and carpenter recommended.
Sadly, the product Click76 Youngman by Werner, is not we manufactured as the plastic and steel components are breaking up, since last year I have been trying to get spare parts through Werner UK Customer Care.....they have not had the Care needed to even answer me. I have on every occasion revived notification that my emails have been received, even wishing me a Merry Christmas.
Wernerco's after sales (UK Customer Care) is appalling! COVID or not support is an absolute requirement when selling any product...even more so when they are purchased for quality and by recommendation of Trade contacts...Shame on you Werner
Good people to deal with, there was a problem with a delivery going missing in the post but they were great at communicating and got it all sorted in the end. Any time again.
