Thought Janey was absolutely bang on…
Thought Janey was absolutely bang on with her customer service last Friday when we visited the store in Canterbury. I only went in for a pen and when I thought I might like to buy a huge canvas she was so helpul, trying to workout if it would go in my car, and that if I paid and it didn't fit I could get a refund. She was very bubbly and energetic and made my visit so lovely. Thanx Janey. 😊

Small but mighty art supply shop
It’s always a pleasure to go to C&W Canterbury. I like going for both stocking up on supplies and for discovering new crafts. Great for gifts too. The staff are always super friendly and helpful.

Went to Canterbury Cowling & Wilcox…
Went to Canterbury Cowling & Wilcox today. Had help from both Lloyd and Jack. Lloyd helped me select the brushes and explained their differences. Introduced me on the new 'vinal' art techniques. Jack was great in helping me find a very comprehensive colour mixing book that is very comprehensible. Enjoyed my experience amd will be returning really friendly staff and great variety of products to explore.

Emma was very helpful
Emma was very helpful , she directed me to the product I needed and also advised me on cutting instruments for the job I wanted to do. I had bought a large piece of card which she suggested I could collect from the shop when I was ready , which was appreciated. On another note , she also recommended a very nice Sushi restaurant ! Great service , friendly staff .

Emma at the Canterbury store was so helpful today. Gave great advice for supplies needed for a paint technique I'm trying to achieve. The sort of customer service that is never possible when buying online. Long live the High Street!

I’d put zero stars if possible.
Slow as can be (blamed bank holiday over a week after bank holiday). Not all emails responded to and order eventually delivered with main item missing. Customer service says right thing but not backed up satisfactory action. More waiting and time taken chasing up than worth it. Wont order from them again

We’re very sorry to hear about your experience and completely understand your frustration with the delays and communication issues surrounding your order. Unfortunately, the bank holiday period did have a bigger impact on dispatch times than expected, but we appreciate this does not make the experience any less disappointing for you.
We would also like to clarify that the missing item was not lost and was sent separately, although we appreciate this was not made clear enough at the time and caused additional inconvenience and worry. This was delivered today so we hope you have now received your order in full.
We sincerely apologise for the time you’ve had to spend chasing this up and for falling short of the service you expected from us. Your feedback has been shared with our team so we can improve both our communication and order handling going forward.

C&W Canterbury: a real gem
The C&W store in Canterbury is a real gem. Browsing and shopping for art supplies is always one of life’s great unalloyed pleasures - but the staff here really make it special. Today Emma helped me pick out a set of pens, paper, and other related materials. Bursting with enthusiasm and great ideas, she worked out exactly what I needed and helped put together a perfect present for my son. The whole experience is down to earth, well informed and infused with a great sense of humour (and all without a hint of pretension). Before embarking on any art project this is the ideal place in which first to catch your hare. Thank you!

I ordered a canvas online unfortunately it had a couple of things wrong with it, however Megan was absolutely brilliant, she checked on stock for another one and sadly there were none so did a refund straightaway, her emails were lovely and professional and it was all sorted within a few days, great customer service thank you :-)
