I recently purchased one of their gaurdian 3 watches for my grandad
I recently purchased one of their gaurdian 3 watches to help with my elderly grandad as he has recently become more prone to falls, not only this, but the falls are becoming more debilitating and they are making him anxious to leave the house or even do his gardening in case he has a fall and isn't near his phone. With the gaurdian 3 he seems to have gotten a lot of his confidence back which is amazing to see! CPR have also been great to deal so far as they helped us with the set up and explained which features and settings would be best for us.

Keeping my 90yo Grandad Independent - Updated from Previous Review!
---- Updated from my previous review as we've had excellent customer service helping to resolve some issues with the watch----
My grandad is in his 90's, but still largely independent and likes to take himself off out for the day. Unfortunately he's not so steady on his feet and has had a couple of falls, and he doesn't always have a way to contact us.
We looked at a few options, but they all required the device to be connected to a router based at home - no good for a man who is always out and about.
The CPR Guardian Watch is really simple to use, does everything my grandad needs, and runs on a mobile phone network, so he can use it everywhere he goes.
The screen is big enough to be clear to him, but not big enough to be intrusive or get in his way, and the fall assist and SOS siren are super handy.
The whole process from purchase to use was really easy - it was all set up and ready to go before it was sent to us, so we could strap it straight onto grandad's wrist the second it arrived!
We've also had some great support in the last couple of weeks while we've been working through some issues with it - Chelsea replaced the original watch due to some technical issues and went through the set-up with us by phone to make sure that the new one was doing everything correctly!
We're very glad to have found this little device to help grandad keep his independence, but also give him a bit of a safety net and give us some peace of mind!

I'd say I have always found the watch to be useful for emergencies, and my experience of their customer services is that they are knowledgeable, helpful and able to resolve queries really quickly.

Ensuring safety of my daughter
As a mother, the safety of my pre-teen daughter is paramount. The Guardian watch has been peace of mind for our family. Even though she has a mobile phone, she could drop it, lose it or leave it somewhere. The watch is always on her. The GPS location tracking ensures I always know where she is when she's out with friends. The two-way calling feature is just like a mobile phone and we can call her and she can call us. There is also an SOS button that can be pressed in an emergency that will call us and is a reassuring safety net. I'm so grateful for this watch.

Easy to use
Watch is very easy to set up out of the box through the app. After the outage signal has been steady and reliable, and though the fall sensor takes a little getting used to the fact this notifies my loved ones right away

I am happy now to give a good review as the outage problems have been sorted. Since that has happened my peace of mind has been restored as I am able to check where the wearer is at any time of the day. I also find the route playback useful to see where the wearer who is keen on walking has been. It means the wearer also has confidence that I can find her and so can still be active and enjoy her many walks.

Difficulties with tech support, no WiFi connection, doesn’t work if you are in a poor mobile service area. But likely perfect where signal kis good
I’ve bought this and had huge problems contacting the customer or tech support. I finally managed to speak to a real person and was subsequently given outstanding support by Chelsea who walked me through the procedure. That said the initial instructions are flawed as it tells you to download the wrong app.
I have given 4 stars purely because I was helped by a lovely person, the support line is still an endless queue, and I am still unable to see the app fully functional because unless you have top notch mobile service in your area the gps doesn’t work as it doesn’t connect to your WiFi either. For us, it doesn’t work purely because of the poor mobile network in our area sadly it’s all been a waste of time and we will have to return this item

I bought the watch as I had a fall and it was a wake up call for me. After a couple of weeks it went off line but I was kept informed how it was going with fixing it. I have found the customer service department very helpful and professional. I feel so more confident with my watch.

CPR Guardian is not a guaranteed 24/7 coverage.
I purchased CPR Guardian and spent the following weekend trying to connect to your server. At the time I did not realise that this service was unavailable. Since I purchased this product on the understanding that it was a 24/7 operational coverage; I returned it as it was not fit for purpose.
Three weeks later I am still waiting for a full refund, I am very disappointed that CPR customer care has not responded to my messages.

Service has not worked for last 12…
Service has not worked for last 12 days. The company blames AWS and that a server outage caused the issues.
So, no backup and a single source of failure which takes 12 days to fix. So much for service that is meant to track very vulnerable people with dementia.
Look elsewhere is my advice.

Firstly please accept our apologies for the issue that we have had with our server over the past few weeks. This is not something that has ever happened to us before and like yourself this has completely taken us by surprise also and we have been working extremely hard to get this resolved and running as normal again.
We now have numerous back ups in place and this will never happen again.
We do appreciate all of customers that have stuck by us and we would really like to discuss this with you if you could send us some contact information? I have requested through Trust Pilot.

Still no service!!
Still no service!!! No answer to phone calls and Bot replies to customer service on line saying the issue will be resolved in 24 hrs.
It NEVER is. No contact via email despite paying for a full years contract. Absolutely appalling. PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS EXPENSIVE USELESS WATCH! A total waste of £400 for a senior who could ill afford it.

Due to the Outage we have experienced the past few weeks, this has caused a high influx of calls and I do apologise that you have not been able to get through to anyone as of yet. We do have some good news, our service is now back and running again.
There is an issue that has never happened to us before and we were taken by surprise just as much as our customers when this happened. We have been working extremely hard to get this fully fixed and making sure this does not happen again.
We do appreciate all of customers that have stuck by us and we would really like to discuss this with you if you could send us some contact information? I have requested through Trust Pilot.
Disappointing and not reliable …
We’ve had numerous problems with the watch over the last 8 months. Eventually after months of going back and forth with customer service and sending the original watch to and Fro (at our expense ) we were sent a replacement as the first watch did not work or sync t. Now, the watch tracking component function has been nonexistent since the August 19/20th. I called customer service to enquire what was going on and was informed it was a system-wide problem. i was not given any solutions or indication of when it would be fixed. it is extremely disappointing and distressing! We have a vulnerable parent with dementia who frequently wanders and the tracking device allows us to have piece of mind. We will need to find a new more reliable devise for the future. I would not recommend others to use due to the ongoing issues we have had.

Father had a fall. Luckily he's okay - the entire Guardian system and watch not working!!! Very dangerous. Do not buy. Will be asking for a full refund if not fixed in the next few days - the watch is useless.

Beginning to wonder… Moreover the response here blaming AWS just doesn’t stand up - AWS simply does not go down in this way and if it did it would be all over the news given how many companies utilise it!

The App has been down nationally since Monday as I understand it and CPR Guardian are no doubt working hard to fix the issue . It’s IT and problems can occur. However given the core business is to protest the vulnerable I would have expected anyone on a contract for whom they will have contact details to at least be informed there is a short term vulnerability.
