Damp Detectives Ltd  Opiniones

I would definitely recommend Jonathan Young the SW surveyor. He was punctual, professional, friendly and very informative.

I felt a trust in Jonathan, that I was particularly grateful for, especially after being messed around by another company.

Jonathan's findings were easy to understand and very helpful indeed, in helping me understand what was happening in the house already and what I would need to do to improve things and which aspects were needing priority.

It has been invaluable in me making more informed decisions on a pre-purchase.

Thanks Jonathon

Andy arrived not equipped to do proper investigation just a damp meter ,and told me i had damp which was very evident, then took 10 days to issue a report which was actually useless and didn't appertain to my problem with no offer of solution or cause.
For this I was charged £450 complete waste of money.

Scott is very professional and knowledgeable and was able to communicate with someone with a learning disability very well.
Thank you Scott - your report and advice will be so reassuring for our client.

Contacted Tim and Andy to inspect a damp cellar of our shop. We only use it for storage but the damp was pretty bad and we just wanted to improve the situation. Tim inspected the cellar and provided a report with pragmatic and practical remediations we could to improve the conditions - very happy with the independent advice and service.

Contacted Damp Detectives as I have a buy to let property and the tenants reported damp. One of the main reasons was that they are independent. Evie contacted me the very next day and arranged for Jamie to visit the property. The next day after the visit Jamie called and went through his findings which really helped and within a week I had a full detailed report to assist in dealing with the damp. Jamie also took the time to explain to the tenants the importance of ventilating the property. The service was excellent and I would highly recommend thankuuuu Evie and Jamie 😀

The visit was very very thorough and professional. Explained so I could understand. Very helpful re follow up.

Scott (Clark) came to look at a condensation problem I had in my bungalow.
From the first he replied promptly to my calls/ emails. He turned up promptly, set about the task immediately and fed back in easy to understand language. There was no selling of follow up work/ companies to use. I feel Scott was totally trustworthy and did an excellent job.
I highly recommend his work for anyone needing a reliable investigation into a damp problem.

We would definitely recommend Damp Detectives, Tim did our survey and was incredibly knowledgeable and polite. The report is in depth and offers advice on how to resolve any issues that are found. Damp Detectives are completely independent and the report is invaluable when doing work to an old home.

Scott from Damp Detectives came to do my damp survey, he was very thorough and professional, floorboards up, the use off a device where he could see what was going on beneath the boards he then inspected the guttering . When Scott had completed the survey he sat me down and told me what he had found, he then went on to set me a plan to follow, to rectify the problem. He reassured me that the DPC was intact and did not need to be treated, as I had been told previously by a damp surveyor who was not an independent surveyor.
I was so grateful to Scott, and I would advise anyone to use him.

Great, Scott was very helpful, communicative, and did an incredibly thorough reading. I was initially concerned about some condensation mould on the ceiling of a flat I am hoping to purchase. Scott and his report put me at ease, and advised me about remedies to the situation.

Jonathan was very friendly and helpful. While he was conducting the survey on our house he explained what he was doing and showed us the results he was getting from his surveying aids. When he had finished Jonathan sat down with my wife and I to discuss his findings and work through any possible solutions we could apply.

I found Jonathan at Damp Detectives while researching solutions for a severe damp problem we had in our ground floor Victorian flat, which was developing mould on the walls and ceilings to the point that it was becoming uninhabitable.

I am very grateful that I found him and for the excellent work he carried out. We received much cheaper quotes from damp-proofing contractor companies, but I know for a fact that we saved a lot of money by choosing Damp Detectives, as the work we needed to do to rectify the problems was much cheaper because we were able to identify the scope of work and price it without being led by the contractor doing the report.

Jonathan conducted a full survey using thermal imaging and moisture detection equipment and provided us with an extensive, detailed report that broke down the causes and remedies along with helpful feedback and suggestions. His work was punctual, professional, and timely. If you have a damp problem, he is your man—look no further; I highly recommend him.

I have some understanding of how and when dampness, mould etc occur, but it was good to have an independent surveyor carry out a variety of tests to identify real and potential threats to use the use of the basement areas in our property.

We are in Torquay and the surveyor who did the work was Johnathan Young who is local to us

We had a survey done after some concerns came up on our homebuyers survey. I’m really glad we did as it’s completely put out minds at ease. Scott was extremely knowledgeable and took the time to talk us through the report after sending it over and answered all of our questions. He pointed out the main areas that will need to be remedied, along with things to monitor in the future. It was really refreshing to have an independent view that can be trusted and not have to worry about being sold expensive remedies that we don’t actually need. Would highly recommend.

I had a damp issue that no one seemed to know what the cause was. Jonathan at Damp Detectives was recommended to me and what a fine job he did.
Very thorough in his approach, identified the issue, where the water was coming from and how to fix it.
Because they are independent and do not recommend other companies to carry out the work, I was assured that I was given facts without any exaggeration or drama.
The service was excellent and I can’t recommend Jonathan enough.
I live in the Torbay area.

Communication was brilliant and quick and they expertly found the source of the issues, explaining in simple terms what steps we need to take.

Knowing these guys are independent and had no hidden agenda was key for us to get a trustworthy survey, which is why it was well worth the money.

Jonathan combined a friendly engaging approach with a calm professionalism.
He competently and thoroughly identified the source of the problems, explaining in layman’s terms how they had come about, and how they should best be resolved.
In his written report he included the plan to rectify the problem with detailed instructions for remedial measures.
I would, with absolute confidence recommend his services .
It was a pleasure to meet him.

I have had a re-ccuring issue with a mould patch on a dining room wall.
Darren Horn carried out full survey and produced a detailed report pinpointing the main issues and an extensive overview of all other contributing factors.
What a great service and also great communication!

Nigel - Stockport Damp Detective really helped us out carrying out two surveys for us after one property fell through, efficient professional and approachable. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend for a thorough job much more useful than an expensive home buyer’s report. First Class

Bob and Liam were meticulous when carrying out the survey and took as much time as needed to explain their findings to me and answer my questions. They uncovered the root causes of the issues with my property which all only require simple fixes to resolve rather than the expensive treatments others were recommending I trial. Money well spent.
