Damp Detectives Ltd  Opiniones

Nigel was great. Very in depth and informative on how to remedy the issues we were having in our new home. I would definitely recommend his service in the Manchester area.

Jonathan was so helpful and took the time to explain what and how he would check the problems, making technical details very understandable. He answered every question and produced a very detailed report with photos the same day. Very reassuring to talk to an expert. Excellent service.

Jonathon provided prompt, efficient and expert service to help us deal with various damp problems in our Victorian home. We now feel much better prepared to find and brief suitable tradespeople to do the remedial works.

Jonathan was incredibly informative and took the time to answer all of our questions thoroughly. Thanks to his guidance, we now feel confident in addressing and resolving our damp issues. His expertise and willingness to help have made a big difference, and we truly appreciate his support.

We had a damp survey carried out by Darren and we requested special attention towards a potentially problematic area of the floor. This inspection was on a property that we are in the process of buying and has been vacant for some time. Darren carried out a full inspection of the property and highlighted all of the areas that require attention. He provided a lot of useful advice on how to reduce existing and potential future damp and the most likely causes. He was extremely knowledgeable and gave very detailed explanations on what to look out for and how best to improve the ventilation throughout the whole house. He answered all of my questions (there were many, sorry Darren) and took the time to ensure I understood the complicated answers. We will be moving forward with the purchase and will keep Darren in mind to come back and check the areas we discussed have improved once the house has been "lived in" for a while. We definitely recommend Darren, both for his attitude/politeness and his technical knowledge and ability. Thanks Darren.

Fantastic service provided by Bryony. She carried out the inspection to a high standard and explained everything in great detail over the phone afterwards. She gave us a really useful insight into the issues we needed to rectify and what steps we should take next.

Thomas is incredibly helpful. His survey identified the water ingress in my conservatory a few months ago and I was very happy with his service. I contacted him again last week due to black mould starting to appear in my rental property. He offered me two survey options (data logging to see if lifestyle choices could be causing condensation leading to mould and a full damp survey). When I queried the detail of data logging he took time to explain what this involves and kindly sent me a sample report. He readily took the time to answer my emailed questions. In the end, thanks to his help and further research online, I have decided it is very likely to be a ventilation and lifestyle issue and so will not be going ahead with a survey after all at this stage. If the measures I am putting in place fail to resolve the issue I will have no hesitation at all in going back to Thomas and appointing him to do the necessary survey. I thank him for his time given so willingly in providing information and thank him again for identifying the sources of the water ingress in my conservatory a few months ago. I recommend him wholeheartedly.

The damp survey that Tim Platt conducted on my property was very professional and very thorough
Tim gave me detailed information on what needed to be done to elevate my problem
A first class service

Jonathan from Damp Detectives provided such an insightful inspection of our house with it's multiple damp issues. I wish I'd found this company months ago! They excelled where previous tradesmen were unhelpful. I was really impressed by how thorough the inspection was, with clear explanations about the problems were were experiencing and the reasons behind it, with suggested solutions. Jonathan provided such a fantastic service and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

Fantastic service from Jamie and Evie, had the vendors of our house purchase drop agreed price by £5000 to carry out works needed pointed out by Jamie during our survey!

Our local Damp Detective (Jonathan) was just brilliant. Really well informed guy and he took lots of time to throughly explain all of his findings and teach us a comprehensive amount about how to deal with the damp issues in our (very old) house! I would recommend this company, and Jonathan in particular, to anyone with damp, mould and condensation issues. So worthwhile having the survey done. We know exactly what our next steps need to be.

Incredibly positive experience with Derek. He surveyed a property for me ahead of purchase and liaised with the agent to be in very promptly. Needed an additional visit which was arranged without hassle and he advice has been invaluable. Has also been exceptionally helpful and responsive to questions after the report. I'm very grateful.

Johnathan and Michelle arrived promptly, worked efficiently and explained all the processes and findings as they went along.

The written report was detailed and backed up by photographic evidence. When remedial work is undertaken the people doing it will have all the information they need to deal with the problem.

Tim was friendly, helpful and professional. He conducted the survey thoroughly and gave excellent and affordable recommendation's. I genuinely cannot recommend this company enough!
Thank you for all of your help!

Tim was very thorough and professional. He put our minds at rest when we thought we had a major problem

What a relief to have finally found a company who provide such an excellent service. We contacted Damp Detectives and the following day Nigel Howarth rang and we had a telephone consultation regarding our damp problems. An appointment was arranged and we were informed that it would take a few hours. Nigel arrived promptly and he spent a long time inspecting our home and taking damp meter readings. He gave us detailed information on what the problems are and how to rectify them. We received a detailed report with photo's and showing room by room where the problems are. We now have everything we need to explain to building contractors the work we need carrying out. Having had several companies let us down with misinformation it was an enormous relief to have a professional like Nigel to help us fully understand where the problems started and how to rectify them. Cannot recommend Nigel and Damp Detectives highly enough.

Nigel Howarth who covers the Stockport Greater Manchester area was first class. He used all machines available to check for any damp issues in my Victorian terraced house even my roof though I only requested a survey for my ground floor! A true professional.

Scott was professional from start to finish. Pragmatic in what I required rather than trying to upsell anything. That seems to be one of the positives of dealing with damp detectives in general

Problem - damp and salt damage to interior walls; suspected chimney stack leaks.
Presentation and customer care impeccable - considerate, polite, accommodating.
Investigation comprehensive - all relevant areas carefully inspected and evaluated.
Feedback very useful and clear - good diagrams and articulate explanations suited to the layman [handwriting idiosyncratic!!]

Jonathan arrived spot on time. He was extremely thorough in his assessment of the problem and undertook an extensive survey. He communicated with me as an inteligent human being rather than someone who would have no idea what he was talking about. His explanations were so clear, logical and detailed that I have managed to retain the information. He was respectful of our tenant who was present and explained what he was doing throughout the process. Such clarity and attention to detail is, in my experience, rare when I'm trying to get to the bottom of a problem. Generally people shake their head and say, I'll see what I can do but no promises.
I cannot thank Jonathan enough for his clarity and professionalism. I highly recommend him.
