FINE PRINT: "30 day money back guarantee" really means, get cheaply made clothing unlike pictured, try to return for money back guarantee, PLOT TWIST: you get to pay shipping to CHINA. Which means your $90 dress, that is really about a $20 dress is now going to cost you $49 in shipping charges to send it back, you could net $40 in return IF you trust these same people to get the package, agree that is was received in original condition without damage, (which it already had, fringe is so crooked!) JUST DON'T PEOPLE, JUST DON'T

I bought two pairs of pants from Darcey Lane and when they arrived they were nothing like the listing. I was sad to hear that I needed to pay to ship them back to get my return (which costs $30 because this business is located in China). I decided to return anyway because my original purchase was $80 which means I would get $50 back at the end of the day. After sending back the pants and hearing from customer service that they would issue my refund, I was never refunded. I returned them almost immediately after I received them so the timing wasn’t the issue. This business is a total scam and their “money back guarantee” is a flat out lie. I am out $110. DO NOT PURCHASE FROM DARCEY LANE!

These clothes are horrible! Advertised as cotton and actually some unknown slinky fabric. The return policy is a sham. I will tell everyone I can not to shop at Darcey Lane. Your company is not making the world a better place. You are part of the problem.

They advertised an attractive jacket which once I received it the product material was so paper thin that it may have qualified as a sheer shirt at best. They offered me a 10% discount which would barely cover the tax. I was sure that the Co. was out of CA. however it is China so to return it would cost me $30 & I paid $50. BUYER BE WARE!

I hated my order. I will never use you again. I was expecting a linen cotton blend dress and was horrified when 2 cheap polyester dresses turned up. I totally threw away $87 on junk. It would have been too expensive to return them so I gave them both to Goodwill and swore never to be scammed into buying online again.

Received my first and last order from this company. Shipping was very slow but it finally arrived. Fabric was very thin and sizing was way off. According to their chart a 1X was my size. I would not even be able to get it over my head. Very disappointed.

This company is fraudulent. They advertise items in one color/material such as linen, and send cheaply constructed polyester imitations from china that do not resemble what I purchased. I requested a return with them paying for the return, they admitted to the bait and switch and still wouldn't accommodate the return. They make you pay for shipping back to China. Nowhere online do they let you know you will be getting cheaply constructed items from China. Their customer service is unprofessional with random hearts and emojis mocking you, instead of addressing the issue itself. Please do not waste your money with this company.

The clothes are plastic, not cotton as the web site says.
Returning is almost impossible, as you have to ship it to China and it cost almost as much as the clothes, around $70. I would not buy from this company.

Wish I would have read the reviews. Similarly to other customers experience, I waited weeks (reassured by the large font shouting "easy 30 day returns") for a dress described as oversized linen shirt dress, which arrived in fact as the cheapest possible stamped acetate fabric. The tag is marked 100% cotton which is so obviously a lie, its not even funny.
I didn't even try it on. When I attempted the return process, indeed found that you can pay twice the price to return the item to China or accept a 20% partial refund for something I will never ever wear. I'm super disappointed at being duped by a slick and shiny website design. Their false product descriptions should be the subject of litigation. Will not try this company again.

My wife ordered a dress for our daughter. The fabric was nothing like the picture. The photo looked like a soft washed linen. The actual product was a synthetic stiff material—almost like a tent. Not something a woman would wear. The store offers a 30 day money back guarantee, but the catch—not displayed on the first page of the website—is that you have to pay for shipping back to China. A rip off. Avoid.

I ordered a dress from Darcey Lane that looked beautiful, structured, and well-made in the product photos. What I received was very different. The fabric is extremely thin, the construction includes long robe-style ties that are not shown in the listing photos, and the side opening for the tie was already stretching and beginning to tear after I only tried the dress on.

I contacted customer service and sent photos. They acknowledged my concerns about the dress’s quality, construction, and how it compared with the product listing. However, they would only offer a full refund if I paid to ship the dress back to their warehouse in China. They refused to provide a prepaid return label or a U.S. return address.

When I explained that international return shipping for a roughly $50 dress would be unreasonable, they offered me only a 20% refund if I kept the defective item.

I find that extremely disappointing. This was not simply a matter of the dress not fitting or me changing my mind — my complaint was about the quality and the product I received not matching what was represented online.

Based on my experience, I would not order from Darcey Lane again. I strongly recommend reading their return policy carefully and understanding that you may be required to pay international shipping to China if there is a problem with your order.

Wish so much the dresses looked ANYTHING like the pictures. Total scam. Horrible fabric and cut. Not anything like what I ordered. Took over a month to arrive. Would fight like heck for a refund but likely would never get it!

I loved my purchase! I thought that the shipping was very slow. However, what made that tolerable, was the emails from Darceylane assuring me that though shipping seems a bit delayed, things are actually moving forward. I appreciated those emails and the fact that I could reply to them if I desired! Thank you for the opportunity to offer feedback!

Horrible! I ordered about $225 worth of merchandise from them, not one of the items fit or was worth keeping due to cheap or ugly fabric. Items that looked flowy and roomy online work hard from a single length of fabric with no give whatsoever. Definitely not what the picture look like online. They also give the impression that they are based in England. No they are not! They are a cheap company in China and expect you to pay international shipping to return items, which will deter most shoppers. Their refund policy clearly does not state this. They also wanted me to take pictures of each item in order to be able to return it so that they could look at it! What the...?
I will tell everyone I know how horrible they are and I will fight this return past for all I'm worth. I can't keep or wear any of the items. It's not that I don't like them, it's that they're sizing is very wrong, the fabric is cheap and the product is bad. End of story. Do not buy anything from Darcey Lane.

I advise against buying from this company. Inconsistent sizes, low quality, and impossible to return. The return address and the products come from China, even though the website gives a UK business address and Los Angeles business hours. Both items I ordered were a medium, one of them was way too small the other was way too big. The other item fit even though it was slightly large but the quality was not good, the material was thin and itchy. I tried to return the products and it cost more to return them to the items were worth! They said they would exchange the size if I paid them 30% again. I believe other reviews must be AI or paid.

The garments pictured and described are NOT what you get. One dress was supposed to have pockets and be cotton. Instead it is a synthetic fabric with dye sublimation colors. BUT NO POCKETS. The other dress is same synthetic dye sublimation printing. I am 70+ and I lok like an old lady when I wear these dresses. They are like my grandma's house dresses. I will wear them to take the garbage out, but I don't want to be seen in them. Save your money and don't get bait and switched.

I ordered a dress that arrived weeks later. It was adorable but very cheap, inferior material and tight across the chest. Company offered to send me a size up for $10 or 30% of dress price. I accepted and did not hear back until I prompted them. Second dress arrived wadded up in a ball; package looked like a softball, and the dress was marked xl but it was much smaller than the large. When I complained, they wanted details and photos of packaging which I had thrown out, along with the cheap material of a dress.

I purchased two Vera blossom dresses after checking reviews. A 3.9 rating sounded good enough for a dress I’d wear around the house. The dresses have barely any resemblance to the one pictured or to each other. The structure is entirely different, long sleeves and short sleeves, differing lengths. The one in the catalog was in a wrinkly fabric that looks like cotton and there’s no sheen to the fabric. The listing said “breathable” fabric. They sent me two cheap polyester versions instead that would never be considered breathable. The cool wrinkly texture is absent. This is clearly not the pictured fabrics because there’s no way this fabric would ever wrinkle like that and it’s shiny! It’s a total bait and switch operation. My diligence didn’t work here. Return will cost nearly what I paid. That is if I ever get their approval to return which isn’t likely.

Item was extremely small and poor quality. Return cost more than item is worth. Options offered regarding refund (20%) seem like a scam.
