A True Hero – Thank You, Ben!

I cannot express enough gratitude towards Ben from DDR. While I was away on holiday, Ben noticed something wrong with my beloved Shar Pei, Rex. Thanks to his incredible eye for detail and genuine care, he spotted an issue with Rex’s eyes and a concerning skin tag that I would have otherwise missed.

Without hesitation, Ben took Rex straight to the vets and even kept him safe and cared for in his own home while I was away. He went above and beyond, treating Rex like his own, ensuring he received the attention he urgently needed.

Ben’s actions quite literally saved my dog’s life. It’s rare to come across someone so compassionate, trustworthy, and dedicated. I will forever be grateful for what he did for Rex and for me. He is an absolute legend, and I would recommend Ben and DDR to anyone without hesitation. Thank you, Ben — you are truly one of a kind!

Junior, our dog is playful and energetic. The place offered him the chance to use up his energy. With the games they offered , he also had to use his brains to figure out the treats. They are patient and loving. We had videos of him sent regularly. We have no doubt he had 12 good days of play

It is an honour to be able to post this review to commend Ben and all the team at DDR for what
has been, and continues to be, the most perfect and professional experience, always exceeding
our hopes and expectations!!! The extraordinary care, knowledge, dedication and honesty that
have gone into this process have meant that we have our beautiful Rome, who has totally
enhanced our family life and is as much a cherished and loving member of the family as she is
trusted and loyal protector.
From our very first phone call with Ben, it became apparent that not only was he the leader of
the field in terms of knowledge, but more importantly the epitome of integrity. Although we have
had dogs all our lives, we were very new to the area of protection dogs and could easily have
been taken advantage of. It was the total opposite with Ben. Before we even discussed the
possibility of us having a DDR guard dog, we were asked a lot of questions to ascertain whether
we could truly offer a safe and happy home with our family for a DDR dog. We had some ideas
that would have come at a higher price point, such as having two dogs, but we were guided
away from these as they would have been untenable for our family. The welfare of the dog and
our family have always come first.
Through careful assessment and guidance, it was agreed that a female Chinese Red Dog
(Laizhou Hong) was the perfect choice for our family and that that we would have a puppy and
embark on the Zero to Hero program as a family. This was the best decision ever made!!
The zero to hero programme has been an amazing experience. Every step of the process has
been faultless. The first phone-call, the first visit, homestays, family training, expert advice,
practical help, specially created food even a whatsapp group for pics and updates- the list is
endless. DDR have truly gone above and beyond in ensuring that we have the most perfect
family protector and companion. The whole team represent the ultimate level in dedication and
commitment, and ensure that as owners, we too show the same levels of care.
In short, Ben and the entire team at DDR have gone beyond the pinnacle of excellence. Every
single word has been honoured and surpassed. Please always listen to their advice. We have
and we couldn’t be happier.

We left our 14 month old Doberman with DDR for two weeks whilst we went on holiday. I was previously having great difficulty whilst walking her on a lead due to pulling etc. After the two weeks she now walks beautifully next to me on a lead and has a good recall off lead.
I was really nervous about leaving her but with daily videos and reassurance from DDR it made it much easier.
Would definitely recommend and will be using DDR again soon..

After living with one human aggressive dog and one dog reactive dog for years I thought I was too late for this to change. After a two week bootcamp at DDR Guard Dogs I have come away with two dogs who can be handled by various people and calmly walk past other dogs. Quite frankly I am shocked by how much Ben and his amazing team have achieved. I would highly recommend their training.

Making an enquiry about boarding and getting the passive aggressive answers to questions made me reconsider leaving my my boy with this organisation. The customer services was seriously lacking. Not good vibes at all

UPDATE
Since writing my review I was contacted by the Director of this organisation who had the audacity to try educate me on banned and breeds. When I refused to talk to this arrogant individual he proceeded to call me 4 times until I blocked him!
Today whilst minding my own business he decided to call again repeatedly from your landline.
This behaviour is unacceptable
As I said not good vibes, customer service is passive aggressive and the continued calling is WILD.
Do not contact me again.

I have never asked for anything free that was your assumption. After you were very fast to ask for payment I simple enquired if there was an opportunity to visit or for my dog to have a taster day. NOT at any point did the word FREE come from me. I only asked if it was possible and the rude response was off putting. I would have expected to pay for this. Your resposnse was rude and I was nice enough to tell you I found your customer service unfriendly YOU SIR ARE UNFRIENDLY!!
You actually asked for payment before you asked to check any of my documentation. Payment was to be made Via bank transfer and then sending a screenshot as proof. its giving🚩 So calm down and stop the lies. The fact you have taken the time to only respond to my review despite others having a negative experience again shows your lack of professionalism and lack of customer service.
You have rang my phone repeatdly after me saying NO THANK YOU and hanging up the phone on you. Thats HARRASMENT and stalking and breaking GDPR so carry on harrasing me and I WILL take legal action!!!!!
I Leave reviews on REALLY GOOD and REALLY BAD experiences. I am very aware of all the legislation and paperwork. To imply that I didnt or haven't got this paperwork together, again is a complete untruth and was never asked for or discussed. As i told you on the phone I do not require your explanation or services, so stop attention seeking

We had a 2yr 4mth old German Shepherd with some behaviour issues. Due to being attacked when younger she was very nervous around other dogs and would also bark at humans when out on walks. Her recall wasn't great, she also barked a lot in the garden and we knew that we needed some help in getting her focused and well behaved. We had a holiday booked and rather than putting her into kennels for a week, we found out that DDR offer K9 Bootcamp training courses, so we booked our dog in for 3 weeks. Ben and his team clearly love what they do and it shows. They build up great relationships with the dogs and gain their trust - this in turn leads to effective training. We were kept up to date with regular videos (via wattsapp) of her progress which was reassuring as we could see how happy she was at DDR. Our dog responded so well to her training. We are seriously impressed by the progress made. She is no longer reactive to other dogs, she is more confident around other people and now comes back when called off lead. This has led to us both having more confidence with our dog, so she has a better quality of life now, as she can be off lead more and just by making consistent changes we can see incredible results. We have had our own training sessions, as we are the first to admit that we just weren't strict enough with her at crucial stages of her development. We highly recommend DDR to anyone who feels like having their beloved dog can be a bit stressful in certain situations - seek help from DDR and you will be amazed at the results leaving you will a well trained dog to be proud of and enjoy!

I left my black Lab, Apollo, with Ben's team for a week whilst I had to travel for work. I was a little concerned as not all kennels and training centres are beneficial long term but DDR outperformed all my expectations. They gave regular updates to know how Apollo was progressing and that he was in good hands. When it came time for the pickup, the handover process by Emma was great and everything was clearly explained and more importantly there were big positive behavioural changes in Apollo. Will definitely use again - highly recommend!

My Boxer cross Nancy went to Boot Camp for 3 weeks as she had become reactive with other dogs after being attacked about a year ago. The team worked really well with her and I visited a few times during her stay to work with her and learn her new routine.
She is much happier now and calmer all round.

DDR is a true outlier.

Ben and his team offer a fantastic facility with highly experienced and knowledgeable staff who are deeply passionate about caring for and training the dogs in their board. My 4-year old Akita, (Henry) recently enjoyed a 7-day stay/train board at DDR with direction from me to focus on improving some minor pulling issues whilst on the leash. The results they achieved in this short period were remarkable and are proof and testament to their skill and expertise.

Communication was clear and quick to all questions that we posed and we also received a daily video of Henry in his training.

DDR offers a highly professional and veracious service that I would highly recommend to any dog owner seeking the absolute elite in all departments for their dog's welfare.

At previous kennels my Great Dane came back having lost weight but with DDR he came back looking great with a shinny coat and full or beans. I now use DDR raw and this has also settled his stomach. Amazing kennels and food

DDR is the best, I highly recommend!
Ben and his team are all brilliant very friendly and helpful. My German Shepherd stayed at book camp and when he returned he looked amazing, he was a different K9. Regular videos and updates are sent to you so you can see how your K9 is doing and gives you a peace of mind. DDR I highly recommend for all your services!!

Our experience of DDR Guard Dogs has been nothing but outstanding!
I have two large dogs who have behavioral issues and this was our last hope. I found DDR Guard Dogs on google and after reading the reviews & researching them I decided to make contact.
I can honestly say from the moment I contacted Ben I knew I had made the best decision. The professionalism of Ben & his staff was 10/10. The time, effort, empathy & understanding towards us was exceptional. We left our 2 very loved dogs in Ben and his wonderful staffs safe, capable hands and went off on our two week holidays stress free. Whilst away we received a video of each of our dogs everyday, showing us the training & their progression, it was so comforting & reassuring seeing the professional training taking place and to see how dogs fulfilled and happy whilst being professionally trained.
I could go on as I really am the happiest of customers, however I will end by saying you really couldn’t go anywhere better than DDR Gusrd Dogs they truly are the cream of the crop and have changed our lives for the better .
Our journey does not end here as we will now forever be lifelong, loyal customers & only ever use them to board / train our dogs when need be .
We are also looking forward to returning for our 1-1 training to top up on new tricks .

All I can say is WOW! I got a German Shepherd with severe reactive barking at other dogs which was quite dangerous and absolutely no training or socialization from previous owners. I was told by many other dog trainers that there was no hope and that my dog needed a muzzle and that she was a danger to other dogs. I reached out to DDR Guarddogs because I heard so many amazing things about them. My german Shepherd is primarily for my daughter when she goes to hospital appointments but also for guarding of our family home. DDR guard dogs did amazing work within only a few days my dogs reactive barking has stopped and she’s a lot easier to control etc. I cannot wait to see what they can do with the guard dog training as well. I started with the 2 week boot camp and I have to say DO NOT waste your money anywhere else! DDR guard dogs are the absolute best place to take your dog to! They give regular updates and they work wonders! Forever blessed for their amazing work!!! Thank you again so much!!!

This is the 2nd time we’ve opted to leave our dog in the trusted hands of DDR Guard Dogs. We gave them specific instructions on what we wanted to work on this time. Very happy with the updates that we received and it was clear that they worked on what we requested. Will definitely use them again in the future

Connie and team did a great job with our Doberman Kylo. In addition to working on issues like reactivity, obedience, lose lead walking etc they also ensured I walk away with the right techniques, information and equipment to carry forward the training myself. Ben also kept me updated with Kylo’s training videos regularly. Overall a great inclusive experience and they make you feel so much at ease. Thank you team DDR!

My dogs came for a ‘stay and play’ week while we were on holiday, and I cannot fault the team here. We booked in at quite short notice for a half term week and they found space for us, high quality food was supplied for their stay whereas elsewhere we had always had to supply it, and video updates were sent throughout their stay, putting our minds at ease as we knew they were in good hands. They weren’t just left to run in a field for play either, they got proper enrichment, from agility equipment to chasing various toys etc, my dogs were properly looked after and would 100% recommend - far and away the best place we have ever boarded our dogs! Thank you guys.

Ben and the staff were excellent! Our 18 month old German Shepherd stayed for board and train for 2 weeks, we got videos sent to us everyday showing her training and progress, and a very useful handover session when we picked her up. The training was excellent and was tailored to what we asked for and what our dog needed, she is even more wonderful than before thanks to DDR!

I cannot thanks DDR enough. We took our 8 month GSD for the boot camp and some E-Collar training and honestly it has change our dogs life. We can now do off lead walking with 0 reactivity and she is behaving alot more at home. Definitely cannot recommend them enough

After a few weeks of searching for new guad dogs we shortlisted ddr along with 2 other companies and so began communicating with them as the purchase was for a high profile family (HNWF), the family new what they wanted exactly and what it will cost them. At first approach we were directed to the website after a good look called back again but the gentleman who I believe is the owner had no interest in doing business and kept referring us to the website which was no help as am not ordering a pair of shoes... to be honest all 3 companies were worse than each other I was beginning to believe that it was all a front and none of the listed dogs even existed. So went back to plan A and decided to import from Europe.
