We have taken our very reactive Rottweiler to see Ben as a last resort before either rehoming or being euthanised . Never did we dream the transformation in her would be possible just a few lessons. The service we have received has been second to none, not just from Ben but his amazing team. We can now go out walking and not worry about her trying to bite someone or bark, lunge and growl at anything that moves. It’s a pleasure walk and not a chore that we dread every day. The knowledge and expertise that Ben has about every aspect of the dogs is unbelievable from behaviour to training to nutrition. We can now have our tele on and blinds open without her trying to launch herself through them. We were walking around the field today with numerous dogs whilst she was free roaming this is not something I thought was possible. We will continue our journey and see the improvement with every visit. I will say if you want a trainer who will get you results and tell you where the problems are then this is the trainer for you. If you want a trainer who will tell you what you want to hear and take a slow steady approach which rolls over into lesson after lesson then perhaps look elsewhere.
Listen to the instructions you are being given and do your homework you will soon have a well balanced dog that enjoys life to the fullest. Couldn’t be happier huge thank you to Ben and his amazing team.

We have never been a 2 dog household and gotta say we have been through it with Elmo resource guarding and actually attacking Bruce our other dog a few times back in summer also aggression to other dogs. Was told by Dog Training evolution in Tonbridge to rehome him after paying £350 for a hour (he clearly couldn’t be bothered with the breed) this was in August , booked in with Southend dog training and they. cancelled us 3 times they have got to big and cannot cope, we have been trying ourselves and giving them more structure but still needed help and found Ben so my advice with aggressive dogs or for anything is see Ben at DDR . Obviously when I got them both my mindset wasn’t right as was getting over losing my Dad so training wasn’t happening but after being told to rehome him that we upped our game and gave them structure also now have DDR GUARD DOGS on board who helped us instantly. Slowly but surely progress every day 🎥 now for obedience training with Ben to help us help them we will continue to train as they also like learning

Firstly: The professional and educated service…… which is so important when buying a dog of this calibre.
They know there dogs and what dog is suited for the client.

Secondly. The way the dogs were treated and there conditions.
Exceptionally Clean / smart / open green spaces / training facilities were superb.

Thirdly. The staff were so helpful from start to now … exceptional / friendly / sensitive towards the client and more importantly they were sensitive towards the dogs and the dogs welfare always came first at all times . 10/10

I would not buy a dog from any other company.

Amazing training and help with DDR GUARD DOGS and team, Ben is amazing we won’t go anywhere else for our German shepherd Max who is an amazing guard dog trained by DDR, my son and daughter-in-law would not go to max, because every time max sees them he would bark, so we decided when we go and collect max From DDR we kindly asked Ben if he would introduce my son and daughter-in-law to max, Ben kindly said yes, until this day I cannot believe my son and daughter-in-law got a friend for life with max amazing, thank you so much Ben, and the food we purchase for max on the website is amazing max is looking incredible thank you one again Ben and all the DDR GUARD DOGS TEAM

We are a family of 3. Our daughter was age 12 when we first started the program and got JJ from DDR. I always wanted a Malinois that was well trained and would love and protect my wife and daughter if ever needed. Once we were in a position to start I contacted Ben/DDR. Only because I had spent a few years searching for what I thought would be one of the best breeder/Trainers in the Uk if not the world. Our dog JJ is the most unbelievable part of our family. I cannot explain how amazing he is. the program we have all gone through with him has been such an educational experience for all of us. I have been around dogs my whole life but discovered so much more every time we trained at DDR or had questions over the phone at anytime. The program requires commitment and in return you get what you invested. For us that's a dog that looks stunning, behaves impeccably and protects us. We take JJ to my daughters Tennis Academy all the time. My wife or daughter love taking him on walks by them self. He is our protector. We are now at the end of the Zero toHero journey but only the beginning of our wonderful adventure with JJ. Thanks to Ben and the dedicated training staff of DDR.

Ben is definitely of the no nonsense dog trainer school. I went to get my rescue Doberman assessed as he has had some issues and Ben put me on the right track with how I should go forward. The puppies at the boot camp looked well looked after, and their trainers kind but strict.

Organised not hard on the dogs explains everything treats your dog like it one of the own

Only been to see Ben once so far, Ben and his team have made me believe there's hope for my Cane Corso, Remi!
After one session and some adult education for me as a seasoned dog owner, both the dog and I have come away feeling hopeful. I will post again after a few more sessions.

I initially contacted another well known company who specialise in protection dogs. Unfortunately, I didn’t feel comfortable with what I would I be receiving. I continued my search and came across DDR- i sent a message to Ben and all communication was prompt and professional.

We arranged a day for me to visit the dogs. I was introduced to a few different dogs, and also shown the ability of the fully trained dogs which was a huge bonus- as the previous company was unable to do this.

I picked and chose my dog, a Doberman male “Kano” just over a year old. I spent the next few weeks working with the amazing team who taught me how to work with Kano and gain his trust as his new handler. Connie was the staff member who went through all of this with me. They were very patient and no question or worry was ever ignored. The support given was fantastic.

Kano has been home with us for over a year a now, and I just cannot recommend DDR enough. I was so cautious as a breeder myself I didn’t know how he would integrate with all the females but he has been absolutely amazing. This is all truly down to the hard work the team have put in Kano.

Ben is extremely knowledgeable, and has a gift with working with these dogs. I am so glad I went with DDR and I honestly can say I do feel safe and at ease with Kano in our household.

We are constantly complimented when out on Kano.

We still continue to go for refresher sessions, and we will definitely will do long term.

I cannot recommend the team enough. They love what they do and it shows through the work they put in the dogs.

Ben and the DDR team engage exceptionally well with not only the dog, but also with the family/handler. This is an educational process for our dogs but also my family. We have tried other trainers in the past only to see zero to minimal results over many months. However Ben, in his clear & concise communications style and approach delivers, every visit, every time, charging only modest & honest money. Do not waste your time or money with others. Ben is a results orientated, outcomes based trainer that has delivered on every visit with our two German Shepherds - a pleasure to work with, but most importantly I trust him.

I shopped long and hard to find a facility that trained personal protection dogs to my standards. I can dream big and have big expectations. The quality and performance of the K9 I bought surpass all. Ben and his team deliver. Most of my friends were skeptical that I was importing and would be disappointed and end up with a neurotic hard-to-handle beast. It was indeed the opposite.

Niko impresses everyone he meets. Very loving with family and grandkids, tolerant of other animals, puppies, kittens, horses, and non-threatening dogs. He adores me, obeys me, and protects me without an e-collar. He also intimidates the hell out of anyone suspicious or threatening; he is serious.

I received Nikolaus “Niko” just coming off the COVID crisis, so it was a blind handoff; I could not visit the facility in person. Ben and the team sent custom videos so I could be prepared. I lined up a local training facility here so I could be instructed and ensure my new K9 partner and I were communicating correctly.

I took my pup to the POST Law Enforcement K9 training facility; they were also skeptical at first hearing about the dog, wondering if I could handle him, and suspected he would need a lot of work. They were very impressed when they met him because he would respond to me and all commands I gave. I had only had him for three days. They said, “Someone has put a lot of work into this dog.” “He has good work ethics” was the comment when they had me send him to search; he would not stop till he accomplished.

The Veterinarian said, I see a lot of imports, and I always find at least one issue; last week, a Rottweiler with a heart defect… “I checked everything, and this dog is perfect.” He goes to the vet without a muzzle. Travels well in all my cars, even the Mercedes.

I’m sure they were skeptical of me and protective of their dogs; we only had a phone relationship. So, the process took some persistence. They are transparent, hard-working, and professional. If anyone enters the property or building that is not part of the tribe, he knows, responds, and receives ultra-respect; it is obvious he knows his job. I love my DDR German Shepard. He is tall, has a large head which = a strong bite, a broad chest, and is sleek, athletic, and fearless. We decided to purchase a protection dog and found Ben and his team extremely informative on the breed of dog that would best meet our requirements. Whilst the primary purpose was as a protection dog we wanted to ensure that he would be a good fit with our existing dog and also fit in with the family by showing no aggression unless the trained attack words were used. Me and my Doberman have been working with DDR Guard Dogs for a while now. There service is outstanding, all the staff are experienced and professional. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them, if you want the best for your dog.

I’ve been training my puppy for the last 2 months and I couldn’t recommend them enough. There always listening to what we want to achieve and work on those specifics. There also very knowledgable and helpful when it comes to nutrition and the health of my puppy. I’m looking forward to seeing where we can take the training with our dog.

DDR is a very professional outfit. I came to DDR with no training or understanding in order to achieve results with my German Shepherd. Ben and his team not only guided but also supported me throughout. The team have a very thorough approach to covering training mentally and physically as well as nutritional and I always felt I was in good hands. Ben is always available to answer questions and always assured me in order to gain peace of mind. A great environment for your dog to train in and I would totally recommend DDR.

We bought our German shepherd Harley at 7 months old from DDR. Ben the business owner matched us with a dog that he knew would be suitable for our circumstances, Harley gets on well with other dogs and is brilliant when people come to our home. Harley was fully house trained with no puppy accidents and he was well behaved and adjusted to home life really well with the help of Ben who is always available to phone for advice. Harley stayed mostly at DDR at first for continuous training, until he was ready for longer stays at home. Ben and his team did not rush the training for us or Harley. As we and Harley have been trained by Ben and his team, Harley has matured to be a well balanced dog. He was thoroughly trained primarily in obedience at first, then slowly progressed in the protection work.
The facilities at DDR are excellent for obedience and protection training and the dogs have plenty of enrichment activities in between the training. We would definately recommend buying a personal protection dog from DDR. Ben the owner and his team are passionate about what they do and always strive for excellence. We have also learned so much from the training sessions at DDR. We have a personal protection dog who not only makes us feel safe, but who is so well behaved and makes us feel proud to walk him out in public.

We have been taking our Kane corso to DDR guard dogs for general obedience and protection training for 11 months now and have never looked back.
They have been outstanding at helping our dog to reach his potential and have taught us so much along the way.
The service they provide at the training school and for the aftercare is excellent.

We got reggie (boxer) off of Ben 3 years ago. He had been through a 18 month Ddr family protection program. Reggie is incredibly well balanced loving all family activities gentle and patient when appropriate with a six sense for risk and danger….. he loves to practise and be tested with his security function. Big thanks to the ddr team for the addition to our family.
