The new fire arrived very quickly
The new fire arrived very quickly, and well packaged. Arranged with Direct Fireplaces to have it installed, had to chase to get this done. Unfortunately I now have to wait till I return from holiday, couldn't do it in the fortnight after fire was delivered.

No customer service or assistance
I was extremely alarmed to receive an email from Direct Fireplaces stating that the delivery of my stove was kerbside only. I contacted Rachel at Direct Fireplaces who confirmed that the delivery would be kerbside and that no alternative arrangements could be made. No attempts were made to retain my business and I was advised by Rachel that if I wanted to cancel I had to email as my cancellation instructions could not be taken over the telephone.
I am a 55 year old female who has a drive to her house. I am not in a position to transport the stove from the kerb down my driveway and into my house.
With this in mind I have cancelled my order with immediate effect and am waiting to be reimbursed the first finance instalment I paid of £57.90 yesterday at 21.53 via my Credit Card. Given the lack of customer service I would not purchase from this provider again.

We are sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment. As per the delivery information which can be viewed on our website prior to ordering:
"larger items are delivered on a pallet truck. Standard delivery is to the kerbside only. Drivers cannot bring items inside your home under standard delivery."
The dispatch email received from our team would only reiterate the same information as well as providing some helpful advice for the day of delivery.
Regarding the lack of recourse concerning delivery options, we can only apologise for this. We use a third-party courier service and as the driver would not be insured to carry items into the property, and given the weight of a typical wood burning stove, the only options available would have been to either go ahead with a kerbside delivery or ask you to formally request cancellation. This will have to have been in a durable form of communication such as an email, especially since you had applied for finance.
In the event that there is anything else that we can do to advise at this stage, please let us know,
