Direct glass online are a husband and wife team of frauds. Rob halsall has had multiple companies and collapsed everyone. This time he transferred all his assets to Emily halsall his wife and is now running under the companies house name of GLASSCO NW LTD. They also run under the name of PROCESSED GLASS LTD even though that's not a limited company and is a front for the original company of Halsall Glass. It's all the same company, at the same address (Unit 1 L33 7SG).

THEY ARE STILL OPERATING AND KEEP MOVING PHONE NUMBERS. For those that have lost money via direct glass online then it's time to start piling on the pressure for refunds by swamping the new company with correspondence. Glass is still being cut, money still being taken and the same machines being used. He moved his staff over to the new company and now has to run under his wife's name as the director as he can't run a company while in administration. It's all a front and I for one won't let this lie until I have a piece of glass or a refund.

BE WARNED IF YOU ARE THINKING OF PARTING WITH ANY MONEY. MY ADVISE IS DONT.

Ordered glass splashback in October. Didn't arrive until late December after having to chase it up. When it did arrive, it was smashed. Emailed them and accepted a refund,but still waiting.
Now just read on here that they've gone into administration! Shocking.

Really poor experience. They took my money in December then contacted me to say product not available until Jan. Then no contact and unable to call them as phone line not working. Just found out they have gone bust.

They actually took my order and money nine days after they supposedly went into administration. If I took someone's money for no apparent reason other than I wanted it, I dare say I would go to prison

Ordered 3 splashbacks in November with a 10 - 20 day lead time. Eventually received 2 of them in December with no silicone. Emailed them several times and never received any reply.
Paypal has now refunded me for the items never received.
Dreadful customer service.

Scammers. Thieves. Crooks. Took cash happily knowing they were going bust.

Company gone bust. Now chasing recovery of funds for order placed 15 December. 2-3 wk delivery time quoted. Emailed when didn’t arrive. Frustrated that they said it would be delivered week commencing 23 Jan 23 and apologised that due to an office move it was delayed. When order didn’t arrive I emailed again x 2 and they replied saying they went into administration 31 Dec 22. Untrustworthy.

Now gone into administration unsurprisingly - really awful business

Thieving scammers, they knew they had collapsed but still took orders knowing they would not fulfil them, they are still scamming people as taking orders online still, will no doubt be open soon with a slightly dif name. Absolute stains and scummy people

I paid this company for some glass in November 2022 and, after several emails this year informing me the order would be delivered, was informed today 31/1/23 that it went into administration on 30/12/22. Their website is still up and appears to be taking orders as normal, although they have removed the phone contact.

Ordered glass from this company on the 6th December. Took payment off me (online order) but I received no confirmation email. Tried to contact them and had this email back:

Dear Client,

Sorry for some bad news about your Order.

I am sorry to inform you but the holding company of directglassonline.co.uk/ (Halsall Glass NW Ltd) went into administration on the 30th of December 2022.

The order you placed with directglassonline.co.uk/ is no longer valid and we kindly request you revert to your card holder to establish if a refund is possible, the following link provides some guidance reference this process.


If you have paid via PayPal, you will need to open a dispute with them to request a refund.

Sorry for any confusion with regards to our communications in the new year, it has been a challenging time for the business.

The online team have only just been advised of this position.

Absolutely shocking as on their website it doesn't say they are in administration. Stay away!!

Never even consider using this company. No customer service department no splashback received ordered 8th November 40 calls made no return call after message left. Emailed say every time problem with courier. I’ve worked hard to buy this and still no splashback. Disgusting service wish there was a no star option.

Ordered a splash-back on 16th November. I was promised delivery before Christmas, nothing arrived. I have tried calling them but phone is constantly on answerphone.
Emailed them received a reply on 5/1 saying parcel packed and ready for collection by courier on Monday. Tuesday no co that from courier emailed direct glass and was told courier had not collected parcel and should collected by the end of the week. This has not happened and now they are not responding to emails. What a joke and and waste of time my kitchen has been left incomplete waiting for this. Do not order from this company.

Ordered glass table top protectors on 29 November. Absolutely no communication from the company at all.
Chased twice to find out what was happening with my order. Eventually received 4 line email saying they couldn't get the stock and offering refund and mealy mouthed apology.

Ordered a custom made splashback on a 10-20 working day lead time. After 25 working days, I sent an email checking when delivery will be. Got a quick response saying it had been made and they will arrange for the courier to collect it. I'm now on day 40 and it still hasn't arrived, leaving me with an unfinished kitchen. Emails are now being ignored. Refund requested, wonder how long and how many emails, phone calls that's going to take to sort out. Wish I read all the other reviews before buying. Absolute pants company.

Initially helpful with my order but don’t believe the 10-20 working day dispatch time better to say 7-8 weeks Post order communication frankly poor no answer to phones and emails then without warning the product arrived- nice delivery guy and in one piece- great product and exact size so despite poor aftersales communication I feel I should give 4 stars as a product worth having

Avoid this company!

I ordered 4 piece's of toughened glass from this company on the 10th November. On the 30th November I received just half of the order. When I emailed to ask where the other 2 piece’s were, all I got as a response was an email along the lines of, it will be dispatched when it’s ready. Not great customer service.
It’s now the 21st of December and I’ve emailed twice in the past couple of weeks and I’ve had no response.
To top it off, I’m doubting the glass I have received is even toughened as it’s now broken only a few weeks on.

I ordered two sheets of toughened glass on 15th November to complete a decorating project at home. I enquired about order progress on 5th December and received a defensive response that the website quotes a 2-4 week lead time, but that they were "aiming" to ship my order the following week. No glass ever arrived and all subsequent emails and voicemails have been ignored.
I have now started a Paypal dispute and requested a refund.
I'm pleased to say Paypal has now found in my favour and refunded my money, so I never have to deal with this company again thank goodness.

It would be 0 star if I could!

Ordered back in April, it’s now December and I don’t have my product. They’ve tried to deliver twice, but the product was smashed each time.

They said that they would try again and use a different courier and expedite my order, but still nothing months on. It is really not worth it. Do not use this company!
