This company made a mistake with my order however it’s the professional way they quickly dealt with it & sorted it out that’s the reason I’ve given a full 5 star review for them
Great strip lights with excellent customer service!
Other companies could learn a lot from these people about how to professionally deal with customers.

Excellent Customer Service

First time using this company but will definitely be using them again. There was a mix up with the courier which resulted in my parcel being sent back them, they was really quick to look into this for me and once they received the parcel back they sent it straight back out to me and kept me informed at every step of the process, Edward and Oliver in Customer Services were very helpful and their excellent customer care is very much appreciated. I would recommend this company to friends & family as good customer service can be hard to find these days.

Brilliant product; Woeful customer service.

Sent this to the company following their request for a review. 29th June 22

Order #2200134342.
Fantastic impressive product, outer packaging superb, delivery service outstanding.
Sadly, packing into the strong delivery tubes not so good.
One tube included two damaged cartons, a 1115 and a 515. It looks as if the cartons have been bent (one actually split) and both products have bent and are crinkled at the bend point.
They both still function but I’m concerned they may not fit properly because of the distortion.
I have pictures if you wish to see them.
Please advise.

The immediate auto response was “Thanks for contacting us with your comments and questions. We'll respond to you very soon”.

6th July 10 a.m. following another request for a review.

I have already replied to a similar email request to review.
Here is a paste of what I wrote on 29th June:

I pasted the previous message and received the same auto reponse.
“Thanks for contacting us with your comments and questions. We'll respond to you very soon”.

The problem with auto responses is that somebody should be monitoring them and doing what's promised.
11th July: I have received no reply or contact.

I have two maybe unusable damaged products, and having read other reviews a strong feeling that nobody cares.

Hi Peter,

I've had a look into this and can see you emailed on the 29th late afternoon and my colleague emailed you back around lunch time of the 30th. You mentioned in the email that these were still working and my colleague asked you to email images across so we could look into replacing. I see you used a slightly different email on your contact form to the one used on your order, was this entered incorrectly? I have tried to call you to discuss this, however I am struggling to get through on the landline you left.

I can assure you we do care and if you look at our reviews on eKomi, which is the review platform we send invites from, we have a rating of 4.8 out of 5. Trustpilot is a review service we used to use for the invites, however we stopped using this some years ago.

If you email me the images to mathew@expertelectrical.co.uk, I can get this sorted right away for you.

Seem like a bit of a cowboy company

Seem like a bit of a cowboy company. Placed an order for some stock on the 22nd and the website stated the products were in stock and would be delivered within 1-2 days. Rang up 2 days later as I had no confirmation of shipping and I was told they don't stock the products and they need to order them in from a supplier meaning I wouldn't receive them for another few weeks. So many questions to consider here:
1) Why did the website state the items were in stock?
2) Why did the website state I'd receive them in 1-2 days?
3) Why wasn't I notified of this when the order was placed? I had to call up myself and find out about this. So glad I did otherwise i'd have no products when my builders started!

In the end I just ordered from Amazon/Screwfix.

Delivery Time Scales

I’ve used these guys twice now. Back in May 2020 and my order took aver a month to arrive and then again June 2021 and again it looking like it will be 2-3 weeks before the order will arrive even though the site says delivery in 3 days!!!

Incorrect description, stock issues and hard to reach Customer Service

I placed an order for some downlights and converter plates that were advertised as being compatible. When they arrived, I discovered that they were not compatible, and the support team confirmed that the description on the website was incorrect. Edward on Customer Support was very helpful in finding out what I needed and in organising replacements, returns and refund, etc. That did however take many days to sort out, as each email took around 1 day to reply to.
The story continues from there however, because once Edward had identified what replacement items I needed, I ordered them (they were apparently in stock), and then I waited. 5 days later I still hadn’t had dispatch notification, so I emailed support. No response within 24 hours. On the 6th day of waiting, I phoned them to be told the items are not in stock, and that they’ll call me back same day with an update. I waited for a call back but heard nothing. I called back again but was told all the lines in the department were busy. I emailed again and got no response. On the 7th day (a Friday) I phoned and got through to Edward again, who advised me my items wouldn’t be back in stock for another 2 months, so he organised alternative items which I received on the Monday.
I returned the original converter plates on 20th March and received my refund on the 2nd April. All the other items I received were as described and well packaged, however it’s hard to recommend a place that had made a series of errors and a Customer Support service that is slow to respond and hard to reach.

Please rest assured that this is being investigated internally and new procedures put in place to stop this happening again. We're also in the process of investing in extra members of the team to promptly reply to the sheer number of enquiries we receive. As for the issue with the converter plates, the information on the website had been incorrectly relayed to us from the manufacturers so I can only apologise about that.

Incorrect description, misleading

Decided to pay more than other suppliers for CUL27858 lights due to them being advertised as having 3m long connecting cables. When they arrived this was incorrect, just standard 1m cables. Very disappointed, tried to contact customer services but no reply. Had to purchase extensions to fit lights.
Matt got in touch after review was posted, apologised for the mistake, and refunded part of price paid, thank you for response.

This information had come from an old datasheet and the discrepancy was due to a change in product design. Off the back of this a goodwill credit has been sent back to your card.

Poor service

Poor service. Invoice advised shipping would be 1-2 days later, called 5 days later and the product wasn't even in stock. Never bothered to contact me or reply to a phone message or email. Could have shipped a part order, but didn't do this either. Won't be using them again.

Thanks for your feedback. We do appreciate all feedback, whether it be positive or negative, as we feel it helps us develop as a company.

I have looked at your order and can see the downlights you ordered were advertised as out of stock and available to back order. This would have shown both on the product page and in the basket and we do try to make this as clear as possible. As for the part despatch, there is an option to select this when in the basket however this wasn't opted for. We have in the past part despatched orders and received complaints from customers that they had to wait in for multiple deliveries rather than all in one shipment.

Wrong order was sent but . . .

I ordered 4 lights and they were super quick to dispatch. Unfortunately, there was a packing error and i received the wrong ones, but customer service was great - they sent out the correct ones with next day delivery and then organised for DPD to collect the first lot. Top marks from me

Good service

I placed an order for an Olvia undercupboard LED striplight which was delivered promptly and very well packed. I only have one slight beef with the product itself which could have done with an extra support clip. Not Downlights fault though.

Placed an order with Next day special delivery but They are fraud, after 3 days when i called them up they telling me they need to check if they have stock and order is still not processed.

Apologies for the issues you've had with this order. I've had a look into this and can see you placed the order at 18:40 on Thursday 24th September after we'd closed. On the morning of the 25th when the order was picked the warehouse raised a descrepancy in the stock which was communicated back to our sales team. On the afternoon of the 25th my colleage Edward give you a call to inform you and check if you could take the 5 pin version, there was no answer so Edward left a voicemail message.

The next communication was yourself calling up to chase which we then again informed you of the stock descrepancy to which you decided to cancel the order.

You will see from our eKomi page, which is our current review website, that we have 1000s of reviews with an average rating of almost 97% customer satisfaction and we have been trading for over 15 years. For you to allege that we are a fraudulent company is not only hurtful but also slanderous.

I do hope we can do business again in the future and can only apologise for any inconvenience caused here.

First class in all respects!

It is rare these day to find a company with such a great range of products backed up by informative articles on their website. Rarer still to find a company with excellent customer service where you can actually speak to someone who is knowledgable and willing to help. I have bought products from this company on a number of occasions and can honestly say I have been delighted every time.

Never again

Ordered on 8th June, according to website items in stock and delivery 1-2 days. 25th June and nothing yet! I keep chasing and being told 'next few days', this has occurred three times. At a loss as to what to do short of a credit card chargeback.

I couldn’t be more satisfied

Unfortunately a little mistake was make with my order bower 1 call and it was sorted and replacement was with me the next day no fuss no doubt no expectations just Excellent Service and I couldn’t be more happy.

I am a returning customer and will continue being a returning customer

One of the best companies I have ever used

One of the best companies I have ever dealt with. Placed order a Saturday, cancelled Sunday. Monday email received to say money refunded to my PayPal. Reordered filament lamps which were £7 cheaper each than John Lewis. Also bought 60w Led candle bulbs which were at least £2 cheaper each than my previous purchase at Farnell electrical. Fantastic all round!

2nd time I have ordered from this company.
First order (a few months back) I made a mistake, phoned them and got through to someone straight away who sorted everything out for me very quickly. The order arrived next day and I was updated throughout the whole process.

Made my 2nd order today and within a few hours I received an email and a text message to say the parcel is on it's way and will be delivered to me next day (New Years Eve!). So impressed!!
