Under any circumstances do not join as a member! Joined and cancelled the next day and charged for a computer generated report and charged 65 quid after cancellation so much for the cooling off period buyer beware ! Plus the matches they give you are miles away

Disgusting behaviour from this company. Free site then finally pay the $120 so u get full unlimited access. Then they restrict my access and block me for gaining access to the message board unless I up load a photo.
Contacted them saying I’ve paid for full access and they said too bad.
They don’t give a flying f about their customers. Take you money then basically block you from contacting or being contacted by numbers!!!!!!!

this is a response from this website when asking to delete my account, as the information they give does not allow you to delete. It's a load of rubbish.

I signed up believing their hype and they did not match me to suitable matches - the matches I had seemed extremely random and not at my social level. When I actually messaged people no one responded so after a week I stopped bothering and closed the account, I now have a debt agency asking me to pay $537.90 for a weeks worth of nothing! Huge scam

E harmony are criminals.they trick you into thinking you are signing up for a one month trial,but are really locking you into a 12 month contract were they help there selves to your bank account,I will be contacting the police and a current affair,

Absolute waste of time. six possibles within a 200 k radius - I dont think so!! NONE within a 50k radius. This is an awful site - complete and utter rip off AND I bet they don't respond!!!!!!

If I could give zero stars, I would. E Harmony is a scam. When not subscribed, they will say lots of users viewed my profile and messaged me, but when you're not subscribed, you can only reply ONCE. I was misled over being signed up for two years, I thought it was month-to-month like other sites. It's not. Once I subscribed, only about one person viewed my profile a month, and messaged even less. I tried messaging people, reaching out, and got NOTHING. I wanted out, but was threatened with legal action and collection agencies. I lost more than $600 to these scammers for two years of them doing absolutely NOTHING. Amusingly, once my subscription expired, suddenly SO many people were viewing and messaging me again. They are currently embroiled in a legal case against the ACCC in Australia, and I have already submitted all my info and communications with E-Useless to the ACCC. DONT DO IT. This dating app is a complete scam, don't believe all the glossy warm and fuzzy hype they put out.

SCAM - No help with queries waste of money and time Joined 16/08/24 for a 6 month membership. Profile last viewed 27/08/24, last email from eharmony re new profiles etc 30/08/24. Sent messages with no responses, it happens, not everyone responds, some may not have been on the site. Majority have been on site since I messaged them. It's human nature to check out the profile of someone who messages you. Did they even receive the messages? Queried several times with eharmony with NO response. So paid 6 month premium for the period of 2 weeks where it worked. Gave 1 star as couldn't give no stars. Have requested they cancel auto renewal and membership several times with nothing being done.

Do l have to give them 1 Star as they are Not Worth it.

So far shit ,what is wrong with peaple you put your self out and nothing happens. What a wast of money.

Asked me lots of questions then ignored it all in suggested matches. 99% of profiles don’t reply. I suspect most are either dormant or non-existent.

eHARMONY - further second review by me. This morning, next day, my Bank tells me they have deducted another sum of 18 euro, over the weekend when I could do nothing about it, in addition to the above 60 euro. 78.35 in total. FRAUDSTERS. BEWARE.

I had been an eHarmony (Australia) member on and off for the past few years.
I was never a fan of their longer-term subscription model (especially the way you have to cancel via email, instead of one click), but would keep coming back when there was no one of interest on other dating sites.
I can say, however, that in the past few months, the site has really gone downhill.
Unlike before, I've now been getting "likes" or messages from clearly fake profiles, pushing me to email them at nonsensical email addresses. When I've tried to report these profiles through the eHarmony system, the report profile button never works. I alerted eHarmony customer service to this, but they sent a scripted answer in reply, about how to use the (non-working) report profile feature.
There is also more profiles without photos and very little info in the bios. Other dating sites/apps have word minimums to make people write a decent bio, but a higher-charging site like eHarmony doesn't - crazy!
When my membership lapses in a few weeks, I'll be closing down my profile and this time will not return to this fancy looking, but poor quality site.

I signed up and then decided it was not for me. Not ready as yet. Cooling off period they do not honour.

Avoid this rip-off. I have been trying to cancel for three months, and many emails sent.

Only in the last month did I get a reply stating I can't cancel till August. They will charge your account and make it difficult to unsubscribe. Acting totally above the law and should be stopped and charged with fraud.

They have no phone number, they don't return your emails, only to tell you you can't cancel, they ask you to email them to turn off auto-renewal payments, and they won't let you cancel. Avoid them at all costs. I am having big problems trying to stop them from charging my card every month for something I don't want.

Just don't. There seems to be a problem with vetting people who are genuine, and those who are cat-fishers.
Plenty of scammers, and even more with no manners who find it too difficult to send a 'no thank you' reply, or even post a photo. If no photo, they should not be able to see others photos. These people are time wasters and eHarmony allows this to happen. High cost for low service.

You can’t delete your profile. They give you this lame excuse:
“Thank you for your patience. Unfortunately, I cannot delete your account at this time due to a pending legal matter in Australia…”
Even though their help section claims that you can! I’d only just set up the account and had no subscription.

30 minutes after I signed up I realised I had made a big mistake as I felt I had betrayed my late husband whom I loved with all my heart, I emailed eharmony straight away , honestly thinking I could terminate my subscription with a 24 hour cooling off period . I was prepared to lose the first month but sadly I received the below reply.
Upon reviewing your account, I see that you purchased 12-month membership on 04/24/2024 (MM/DD/YYYY) to be billed in monthly payments. The total price was $379.85 which included a discount of 50% for 1 month.

You still have 11 payments remaining in the total amount of $361.90 ($32.90 each) which is schedule to be collect by the system on every 24th of the month until 03/24/2025 (MM/DD/YYYY).

I would like to inform you that your Premium Membership does not expire until 04/25/2025 (MM/DD/YYY). Until then, you can still use our site to continue your search and receive all the benefits of being a Subscriber. I can confirm that the automatic renewal has been deactivated on your account and your Premium Membership will expire on the date mentioned above.
Unfortunately, we cannot delete your account at this time due to a pending legal matter in Australia. However, we have made your profile inaccessible to any potential new matches. Your account will remain visible to your existing contacts.

If you still wish to have your profile deleted in the future, please reply back to this in a few months and we can provide an update on the status of the legal matter. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Terrible… billed me 18 months after I left the site for 3 additional months. Ignore my contact with them. They are despicable. Don’t go there.

DO NOT SIGN UP. Wish i could give minus stars. Horrible, evil company. Eharmony is a scam. Some countries have sued them for false and misleading subscription contracts.... and won. Unfortunately, Australia is not yet one of these countries.

Literally ripping off everyone and anyone stupid enough to sign up :(. And as they're charging you against your wishes, they sign off with ridiculous well wishes. These guys need to be investigated and shut down.
