The quality of the produce is excellent and in spite of former delivery problems I intend to keep buying from them

We are very lucky to have this supplier of a such a huge range of products from artisan producers and small scale farmers in our local area.
Everyone should look at their website before heading to a supermarket!

The tracker was brilliant.I has my foot orthotic ready to go so delivery guy not waiting ling for me to answe door.I loved the Bix,it was easy to add items after I completed main shop I know where all the fresh produce was grown.I preferred, this site,as opposed to the other veg box companies.looking forwards to cooking and eating in a new way.

Farm Direct food is high quality! Is fresh and organic.
Good customer service and time of delivery, packaging is reduced at the minimum.

I have been ordering from Farm Direct for many years, first at the offline shop, and now online. I can really see how much they put into sourcing tasty, seasonal produce from the UK and appreciate the quick feedbacks if I have had any issues. Would recommend them to anyone conscious of eating following the seasons.

I have been using farm direct for a while now, and is just great. The variety is great, fruit and vegetables but also fish, cheese and meat, and I really appreciate the support to local producer and attention to sustainability. Definitely recommended.

Farm fresh food delivered to your door. What a revelation. The food comes straight from the farm of your choice, with a huge range of organic, free ranges, pesticide free produce. I've got to say I was blown away by the freshness and rich taste of the food in my first delivery. The gulf between this and supermarket products is vast. This is real food and it's delicious – and you know your money is going mostly to the farmer. My next deliveries were equally good. And unlike other 'box' deliveries, you can choose exactly what you want. Thoroughly recommended.

One can definitely taste the difference between supermarket quality and farm direct produce. Additionally, there is a wide selection of local products from english farms, making it easier to buy seasonal and to contribute to reducing the overall environmental impact of our daily shopping.

I would give 2.5 stars if I could. I placed my first Farm Direct order a week ago, and while (for the most part) the produce is great and varied, and at a reasonable price for those more unusual items, the customer service is literally non-existent. I ordered a "recipe bag" which is supposed to be a recipe card plus all the items needed. I had a Saturday morning delivery, and on the morning of delivery received a text message confirming delivery time - and that 1 recipe bag item was out of stock. Kind of defeats the purpose of having all recipe items, right? But "ok" I thought, I can try to get the missing item plus any other pantry items I didn't already have. Except it was a seasonal recipe bag, and they had COMPLETELY DELETED it from their site before I even received it! I wish I had copied the recipe but never in a million years anticipated they would simply remove it rather than marking as out of stock. I spent a vey frustrating morning on Saturday for about 3 hours trying to find archived or cached versions of the recipe, but it was simply nowhere to be found. In the meantime, I had replied to their SMS informing me of delivery time, out of stock item, and inviting me to reply if any questions. I also sent emails. I also phoned every 10 minutes, conscious of the closing times and the fact I had planned to cook this recipe the next day. They were supposed to be open till 1pm Saturday. I rang constantly and left voice mails. A week later - still radio silence. I even had an (obviously automated) email on the following Monday asking me for feedback. I replied - and still no response. I couldn't find a similar recipe using all the ingredients (and I picked that recipe because it didn't contain ingredients I didn't want), I didn't know exactly what ingredients I was missing and obviously didn't have the recipe. I need a recipe - I'm not a good cook. So to literally have no recipe, no response, no follow up since - this is simply unacceptable. In addition, the pink fir apple potatoes I received were sub-par with many toxic green bits. So overall: minus 1 for the missing ingredient in a recipe bag and the poor potatoes, and minus 1.5 for the literally non-existent customer service. By the way, I also sent you a message on Facebook a few days ago, Farm Direct, to ask if you had got my messages - no reply to that either. Ignored phone calls, ignored voice mails, ignored SMS messages, ignored emails, ignored Facebook messages... dreadful. Such a shame as the rest of the produce was good! I should also mention that you explicitly say on your recipe bag page that there is no extra service charge for putting the bags together on top of the individual ingredients (in your words, on your site: you pay no extra for the service). The item that was missing was refunded at a lower rate than the amount you charge for that item alone, so that is misleading at the least...
