Random rep came knocking pretending he didn't see the "No Cold Callers" notice (He looked at it on the camera playback)
Breached GDPR by giving personal details away for some customers down the road that we don't actually know.
Just like the previous reviewer, I had dealings with a so called support operative called Heather Parker who really could not have cared less. FENSA are quite clearly there for the benefit of the companies paying the membership fee rather than the consumer. Only given one star as zero is not an option. Hopeless.
You would find more use in a chocolate teapot.
Dealt with a customer service agent called Leni Duckering who just didn't care about helping. A robotic response that wouldnt even deserve the time of day.
Most definitely a money making scheme to rip off customers and protect the "old boys club"
just get any good installer and get it certified by your local authority... you dont even need fensa
it's a real shame we have to even give it 1*
Sam Davies, protects installers from action instead of fighting for consumers.
It appears they are unaccountable to anyone. Tried to obtain information regarding Building Regs. without success. The people say they are undersaffed. I really don't know what they do except take money from teh glazing industry.
Just because the solicitor provides you with a Fensa certificate when you buy a property, it doesn't mean anything unless you transfer it in to your name, which has to be done in the first 12 weeks and you have to pay for the the privilege. Buyer beware.
Had a question, and it was answered promptly and professional by the friendly Heather Parker, giving me all the information I needed :)
I spoke to Heather who was really polite and immediately resolved my query immediately. I received an FENSA certificate with the incorrect door number the installer was contacted and a New certificate issued. Heather went above and beyond rang me back to confirm this. FENSA need more people like you.. Exceptional customer service.
Immediate response and action to my request. Well done and thank you. It’s nice to see a company working and doing the best they can for a customer.
The FENSA scheme is a total scam. It’s not difficult to replace windows so why this is imbedded in legislation is anyones guess.
Spoke to Heather parker about problems I was having with a large company in regards to getting my fensa cerificates and after 12 months still no solution. Within a couple of hours heather made a a couple of calls took some details and called me back to say all sorted!! Heather was very professional and competent in what was required, very happy.
Recently had new windows by excellent FENSA approved installer. FENSA contacted me to ask if they could come to inspect them giving a two hour window for the appointment. I waited at the property for 2 hours and a tenant rearranged their schedule to be available to provide access.
The FENSA inspector called me 5 minutes after the 2 hour window as I was driving away to say he was 30 mins away. No apology.
The controller then called to rearrange the appointment and when she realised I wasn't happy, hung up.
Unaccountable, inconsiderate and arrogant.
As an installer we were apprehensive about the Trustmark onboarding process at the beginning..
but thanks to defined process driven support by the Fensa team.. the whole journey went through seamlessly.. Special thanks to Heather Gibson and Fensa team..
No deposit protection. Windows companies want deposit upfront installation with waiting time being 6 months.
There is no deposit protection (insurance companies removed protection due to high volumes of defaults). They down take credit cards etc.
FENSA secure payment great theoretical idea as no window company wants customers unlocking deposit - hahahaha. Much easier to take money and diaper then actually do a job.
Fensa approved installer fitted windows recently to my mothers, who is a pensioner, house. The finish is diabolical, 2 of the windows don't close properly, the work was registered as completed BEFORE the windows had been fully fitted and noone cares. Apparently a day or 2 out is not an issue!!! They have advised to take it up with citizens advice as they dont care if the windows are faulty, just that regs were followed, if you see a company covered by Fensa and installsure (look to be the same company) run as fast as you can as you may as well burn your cash!!
As other reviews mention, FENSA is a complete waste of time.
When I reported an installer for issuing a certificate for a door that was the wrong size and couldn't even be opened. Their response is to suggest that the installer will had an "administrative error" and issued the certificate too soon.
Quite simply they do not want to take action against their installers at is will impact their revenue stream !!!
One star is too much for this organization, it’s a absolute shambles it’s there way or no way . How can you fail a inspection on vents when work was carried out in March before the new regs came out in April.
Was told by customer that windows had failed 9 days later after lodging complaint surprise surprise got notified by Fensa.
Windows did not have vents in so could not be deemed like for like , however their photos of a bathroom window was not clear enough, however because some houses had vents and some didn’t that was good enough for them to fail it on a presumption that the windows had vents in the beginning ,my god how can that be right !!
So much money to join, that has been used to spread the lie window companies must be registered.
Never will they deglaze a fixed pane to check the distance from the weld to the fixing.
Money for old rope that has nothing to do with the quality of the install.
From June 2022 the standards have changed. So any installs before this date no longer meet current building regs,P.s I've been glazing since 1979
Used a FENSA installer for my bay window costing £4,000. The window leaks at the top from the very beginning under certain weather conditions. I complained and installer strung me along for 6 years, by sending people to "fix" it. Then they denied it was their fault. Why? Because FENSA will only deal with installations under 6 years ago even though the "guarantee" is 10 years. Posted on their Facebook site about this and my post has disappeared. About as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Do not bother with a fensa registered fitting company as fensa is a absolute joke, My windows are less than 2 years old and there is a problem with condensation between the glazing because they were fitted for the person I bought the property off the guarantee is void! So in other words they do not guarantee the workmanship at all. In my eyes this is not good practice.
