The Federation of Master Builders is the largest trade association for the UK construction industry and a not-for-profit organisation that is run by members for members.
Our mission
We support small and medium-sized construction companies to grow and manage their business by providing a wide range of support services such as contract templates, unlimited expert advice, online training, and access to a community of fellow professional builders.
Our members must pass an independent inspection and strict vetting process before they join the FMB to ensure they meet the high standards expected of a Master Builder company.
We also connect clients with professional, local builders they can trust through our free Find a Builder service. Our series of ultimate guides for home renovation projects helps clients to understand what to expect during a building project.

FMB has gotten me better jobs , bigger jobs and contacts i would never have had .
FMB has made my company stand out from the rest , the backing from them job leads and there yearly site visits to check quality of work . They always call and are there to answer any questions needed. Been with them 2 years and going into my third. Strongly recommended .

Do nothing for the consumer
2018 - Dont bother with this organisation there are totally in favour of the member and not the consumer. The only resolution they have to bad workmanship is to allow the builder to come back to rectify it. I raised a complaint for cash compensation after the builder came back but still failed to put things right. However my complaint was still rejected, they mentioned that they wont take the fact that I allowed them to come back into consideration, and so I have to allow them to come back again. I wanted cash compensation as Im not going to have them come back for a third time, they said no the only solution is for them to come back and fix it. Seriously? for a third time? They will create more damage! The company in question was Oakleafe Property Services Ltd part of the Oakleafe group.

I should have listened to my architect who say FMB , means nothing at all .
Your member who took my money and did not complete the work is registered with FMB albeit with a new company. How can FMB condone this
Fobbing me off will not work , your member was a member when he took my money and he is a member now.How do you prople sleep .
I will pursue this as much as I can with or without FMB helps .
You have no intentions of doing nothing
I am stilling waiting to be advised as to who monitors the FMB .

for years i was a bit apprehensive
i must say fmb made the proocess vear easy
but still i had to go though inspections
i am hopeing this well move my company forword
