Great service
I ve been with free start for over eight years. Always been fair price for what they do and they just upgraded my site with a great new design and its mobile friendly now so I m not stuck in the dark ages !! Would recommend

Love this Company
I have been with freestart for about 5 years and my experience with them has been a happy and productive one. The staff are always helpful and over the years I have spent a lot of time speaking with them as I am often on my site control panel changing and updating it. The site works very well for me and my business, and I have just updated it to a newer more modern looking website which I am thrilled with. They were happy for me to keep tweaking it so it was perfect (in my eyes) and I really appreciated the time and effort they put in. If you want a site that you can manage/change yourself regularly then these guys cannot be beaten. The control panel is easy to use and you can always ring the tech support to ask how to do something if it gets a bit complicated. My site has many pages, voucher codes, lots of pictures, links to facebook and twitter, youtube videos and a shopping cart so is quite comprehensive. I am and have always been very happy with the company and the value for money. I have friends who have paid ££££ for sites that do not work as well as mine or look as good. I highly recommend freestart ! Juliet

Very Pleased with Our Web Site
I have had my web site with Free Start for 6 years. I like the fact you can log in and change your web site, with ease. I am not a computer expert infact I only know the basics, but it so easy to maintain your web site with Freestart. Over the 6 years Freestart have always kept me upto date with the changing requirements, and changing times of the internet and web sites. If I have any queries or alterations I cannot do I send an e-mail and it is actioned within a few hours. I cannot praise Freestart enough for their excellent service

Easy to navigate website with people you can actually talk too,
With everything in life you pay for what you get, I originally had the cheaper website to start with in 2013, I then rcvd a sales call to advise me of the offers they currently had - so I upgraded my site - its a lot slicker now than before - still easy to add to and I am more then happy with that I now have.
Decent people to work with, yes you do rev sales calls but you also rcv calls to see how things are going so in my honest opinion I would advise people to have a go and actually speak to people -

Waste of money, 7 months for them to to load paypal, never sold 1 item
I got a cold call from them in sept 15, as I had previously had a bad ordeal before with cold calling website company offering this and that paid the money and got nothing,
So I said to the rep from freestart about this he said they were not like that
So wrong and the lies, these company's are all the same out to get what they can.
The only call I got from this company for months was to buy more .com .net etc
It took 7 months and 3 phone calls for them to load my paypal payment on to my site.
I have now called them to cancel it as I have not sold 1 item on the site since i paid 100's of pounds for the site I asked for some refund I have now been blanked.
This is the true freestart take your money then don't want to know

Well worth it
I'm very pleased with the recent upgrade of the banner which wasn't expensive and has made the site look a lot more interesteing and eye catching. We have also had a steadily increasing flow of interest for our services via our website since the improvement.
Freestart are always pleasant and easy to deal with.

Why does a good company alienate their customers so much
Firstly I know people that pay more per month than I pay in a year with Freestart. The overall product,periodic upgrades and add ons do not usually cause any issues and i wouldn't call them expensive. Thats the good bit.
When it comes to payment once you use your credit card thats it!
Automatic payments are taken on mine despite once having a chargeback awarded against them for taking payment 3 months early.I even have an email (get everything in writing) stating that card details have been removed but they have just taken renewal fees using an 'unstored card details' they even increased the renewal charges without any warning.I did try using a direct bank transfer once but they told me the payment had never been received .After 3 weeks and me having to get my own bank to trace the payment they decided they had received it after all.Would you want someone as incompetent as that having your card details on file? I certainly don't. Just be wary that I have been told by their staff that they donot accept cheques anymore so be careful when you are paying for their products.I was told verbally numerous times that card details will not be saved,etc.Thankfully iI also have it in writing and will use that when i contact my credit card company to cancel an 'insecure' card next week.

Website Upgrade
We recently upgraded our website with Freestart and are very happy with the result. It now has a much more modern look and is very user friendly. Once we submitted our new photos and a few extra lines of text they had the job done, checked by us, then live, within 2 days! Excellent!

Amy called and suggest my site needed a "new look" ! She asked if I would like to email her an idea of how I would like the main banner, which I did. Within a day, she took on my ideas and made it look appreciably better, updated the entire look and sent me a "mock up" for approval. I made just one change which she implemented immediately and the site was up and live the following morning. Thank you Amy !
I have two sites with Freestart and have been very happy with the service. The only negative side has been their CEO which has cost me a fair few bob over the years and doesn't appear to have made much difference. I have now sub let this particular side of things to a private local computer / website "geek" - time will tell if I have made the right decision?

Lies and lost money
I have been a Freestart client for many years but now build and host my own site. In September 2015 I called and cancelled and this was accepted. In February 2016 I discovered a payment had been taken so I called and was told, sorry, error and we will refund. It now seems on chasing in April that I cannot have my refund.
It seems I have been lied to somewhere down the line.
Very disappointing so do be careful at the end, you might get caught out.
Ironically I was discussing eCommerce with them last time, I will take that business somewhere else now.

Great Value For Money
Megan Freeman and the Freestart team have done a great job of our new ecommerce site. There's still a few minor details to sort out but it looks great and Megan worked hard to modify the template to fit our requirements.

updating website
Freestart updated my website - they made the whole process hassle free - they took on board the requests I made and did it all very quickly. Freestart made the initial changes and then handed over to me. If I had a problem with anything they were quick to resolve the problem for me either explaining to me how to do it or doing it for me. They followed up the whole process by calling me to check I was happy and if I needed any further help. I recently needed my twitter account adding which they did virtually straight away. I am very happy with the service from Freestart - the staff are always friendly and happy to help. Thank you Freestart.

Although I have been in business as a single trader for most of my working life (over 45 years) i am not really a computer and mobile phone fan and limited on my capabilities and patients in such. I was on the verge of changing from Freestart, but with Megans help I'm very glad I didn't. I think the new upgrade has taken us up several levels.
Having had a web site from Freestart for some years we were aware that it was no longer 'state of the art' and desperately needed up dating.
I did consider changing for a fresh start, but having spent some considerable time with Megan I think with the upgrade we will go from strength to strength.
Following bit of a shaky start I suffered an operation on my wrist and had several 'enforced' breaks from setting up the site, but Megan was patient and took on board all my suggestions and requests promptly, politely and precisely.

Failure of Service/Contractual Agreement
I have been with Freestart for 10 years and have been happy with service thus far. In 2006 we carried out bespoke work on our website and in doing we offered full control of our banner as well as colour changes to the website. I have been contacting Freestart since the 10th Feb requesting the information so I can make the changes, after several emails and conflicting information I forwarded all copies of our previous agreements and correspondence to Freestart to highlight I was only requesting them to honour what has been agreed and paid for. After speaking with the Manager of the technical support desk and him receiving the emails clearly showing our agreement they ARE NOT prepared to honour this and are asking us to pay additional fees. This for me is a clear breach of our agreement. I have requested to speak to a Director and have been told that no director will pick the phone up. I am not sure where to go with this but I am shell shocked to the very poor service and unacceptable behaviour of Freestart on this matter. I hope they take a balanced view and get in touch. Can you please answer the folliowing:
Why did Yannig request me to send over information over to confirm the details of our purchase when the website was modified?
The details were never changed or altered, upon me arranging to cancel you agreed to offer the service at the discounted rate. I have forwarded you the email that confirms our original requests.
Why did Wayne ( Service Manager) say we have no control over our banner, which we did agree on the when original works were carried out in 2011? He was insistent on this... I then forwarded an Email from Jessica Turnock which clearly shows that we do have control and that when we log on we an view this on our control panel. It would seem to me that you are not receiving all the information or if you are that you are choosing to ignore what has been agreed in the past, the service has been poor and very inconsistent. In any event, can you please email me with you're email address to continue this dialogue and resolve matters unless you wish to carry this matter on Trustpilot. Personally when my customer's have a complaint I tend to pick the phone up as it can move matters on quicker and a better understanding of the complaint in itself.
