Elderly father bought something from JML and £29.99 been coming out of his bank ever since. From other reviews looks like this is a common thing
Absolutely appalling organisation! My 90 year old mother - in all innocence - called who she thought was JML (a trusted brand) - to order a product. Three days later all hell erupted - Froogal started... Ver más

Scammers
I bought a pressure washer from JML and I have at the moment had£1.99 taken from my account. I was asked for a memorable word and I think that I was given a voucher for Amazon. The phone line was poor. I will wait and see if I actually get my goods.
BEWARE SCAMMERS!!
BEWARE SCAMMERS!!
Avoid at all costs.
Like many others my Mother bought a product from JML over the phone and was totally unaware she had been Conned by some smarmy sod into signing up for crappy shopping offers, which after 14 days would be JUST £29.99. Tried to register online with the username they sent her so I could cancel and surprise surprise I couldn’t register or login. Phoned them and surprise surprise no one answered, although to be honest I’m sure they’re extremely busy dealing with furious individuals and relatives of all the people they CON. Informed the bank to stop any extortionate future transactions from these thieves. Please avoid!!!
AVOID !!! SCAMMY COMPANY !!
My poor 70 y/o grandmother was panicking when she found out she was being charged £29.99 by this company. She had to no recollection of signing up during her purchase through Shop-On TV, as she would never sign up for this subscription. I had to console her, try to fix this through the phone (as she called me), and with the website not responding, I have no way to go through the process with her. She even got perfume samples she NEVER ordered, as she isn't a fan of perfumes.
I have to travel across my country so I can sit beside her, go through it, and try and find a way to cancel this before more money is taken from her account. If the other reviews are anything to go by, no wonder this company continued as far it has. I've never heard of a company using a password as a confirmation for a subscription, nor have I heard of a company automatically transferring without asking if this is a service they'd like to sign up to before transferring.
I will be updating this review once I go through the process with my grandmother. Avoid at all costs, even ShopOn-TV.

BIG SCAM!!
WARNING! Froogul is a scam working hand in hand with shopon TV. I bought a steamer from shopontv in April which didn't arrive until after 2 weeks. Initially I got an email that it delivered 4 days after l ordered. I called shopontv to let them know that I didn't not receive my order although l got a confirmation email to say l have received it. It was a long battle but eventually I received it. On 10th May 2025 l noticed that shopontv has taken £1.99 from my credit card and l was going to call my bank to dispute the transaction but with events happening l forgot to call my bank. Yesterday, 11th May, I was going through my account online and noticed another £99.99 was taken out my account and against the transaction there was a number which l called but wasn't a valid number. I then call my bank and they told me it was a recurring transaction from Shopontv. They gave me the email address and advised me to call them and find what the transaction was for. In meantime they blocked future transactions. I emailed shopontv and asked them about the transaction. They responded back saying the payment is was referring to are membership club l agreed with the sales tem by password and advised me to call 08000319882 to discuss my membership and payment. This message was from Kelly - Anne Customer Service.
I called the member l spoke to a lady who said, she confirmed that l someone fron Froogul called me to register an online savings and l gave them my password as an agreement to the registered. I have never in my life heard of Froogul and no one ever called me. In the first, I can never disclose my password to anyone. Who on earth on the day and era full of scammers disclose their password to anyone, especially to some company do even know. The lady claimed that they sent me an email on 10th May as confirmation of the registration but l don't have that email. I request for a recording since she claims that someone called me and she would send the recording which has sent. I searched the Froogul on Google and it comes up a scam. When l went truspiilot reviews I was shocked to read the reviews, this company is scamming people like that and nothing is done about it. I have called my bank bank gave them the information. They have cancelled my card and are do the investigations. Please you have been in a similar position, just call your bank, you will have your money back. I am reporting Shoptv and Froogul to relevant authorities. I will also expose them to them to the media. They can't be stealing money from people like this and away with it just like that. The law must take it's course. £99.99 is a lot of money to take from someone just like that. Can you imagine how many people in a day that they take £99.99 from their account. They are making a fortune of people who work hard to find that money. Please BEWARE of FROOGUL. THEY ARE SCAMMERS
Unpleasant experience
My 89 yr old mum bought an item from shop tv then was transferred to someone else who set her up as a member, my mum had no idea what it was all about, the advisor even made up an email address out of thin air as my mum doesn’t have an email. FF letter came from Froogul saying £19.99 pm would come out her bank. I have POA & tried to send it via email as on letter, it bounced back undelivered. Phoned spoke to the most unpleasant lady Deirdre who didn’t help, hung up called back, spoke to a lovely lady Janine who emailed me, I replied to her with a copy of POA & she cancelled it for me. Ive told my mum not to buy anything else b4 speaking to me. Thank goodness for Janine
Was signed up by ShopOnTV
Was signed up by ShopOnTV and promised an amazon voucher. Sent multiple emails requesting my voucher, as this is not atomically issued from Froogul. No voucher was ever issued and kept being told they have forwarded it to the relevant department. Then took 3x emails to get the membership cancelled before the trial period run out. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
I never knew I had signed up… I bought…
I never knew I had signed up… I bought a drone whilst half inebriated watching Shop on TV. Paid in good faith then a month later £99.99 has gone from my account… apparently nout to do with Shop on TV though they must be knowing of the scam that is going on! Scum company… dregs of the earth, avoid at all costs!
Complete Scam - Avoid at all costs
Absolute scam involving both this company and Shop on Tv. I brought a vegetable peeler from Shop on Tv and a week or so later received a call telling me my item was due to be despatched and then rambled on about me being sent a £10.00 Amazon and I’ve suffered a stroke so I didn’t take much notice. My vegetable peeler arrived and I didn’t think much else, though the Amazon voucher didn’t arrive. Fast forward a month and I noticed £99.99 had been taken from my account and it was taken by Shop on Tv. I immediately logged onto the account and couldn’t see any reason why the amount had been taken. I then telephoned them and was told it was nothing to do with them, even though they took the money, and it was a company called Froogul, who I had never heard of them, and they gave me the phone number. I telephoned Froogul and even though I explained that I had suffered a stroke, the man was rude and unhelpful and told me that apparently I had signed up to something when they called me about the Amazon voucher, even though I hadn’t, they then claimed to have sent me and email even though they hadn’t and gave details of an old email account. I requested an immediate refund and was told that they had to listen to the original phone call and they would then think about it but it would take a few days before they would consider it !!! This is completely unacceptable and is clearly part of Shop on Tv otherwise why would their name be on the bank statement. Have contacted Action Fraud and will be taking this further.

Absolute scam!
Absolute scam!! Bought a product off Thane then received a phone call saying our order was on it's way and just needed a password to arrange the delivery. Then get a charge the next month for 99.99.
Specifically said that I didn't want to sign up to any subscription service and they ignored this completely.

Rude ignorant scammers
Bought an item from Shopontv.Call from a man a week or so later-everything fine etc and an incoherent ramble (wasn't really listening) about loyalty rewards, Apparently I gave him a password but can't remember why. Not once in that call was Froogul mentioned-thought he was from Shopontv- or any costs.Heard no more then hit by TWO charges of £99.99. Queried with Shopontv by phone and was told it was Froogul. The girl said she would e-mail finance to arrange a refund. A week or so later arefund of £99.99 was made and I immediately phoned Froogul to ask why only one.An extremely rude and arrogant gent told me a refund of £99.99 had been made as a goodwill gesture and then brought up the password nonsense to say i had authorised. He stated an email had been sent with details and instructions for cancel. I have never recieved such an email though he claimed I had as it was time-stamped .Shopontv appear to distance themselves from Froogul as it suits though they are clearly two cheeks of the same *rse. I have been bounced around between the two trying to recover the second £99.99 without success. One says I agreed the other is now saying there was only one payment taken. This is legalised fraud fronted by an apparently respectable TV channel. Perhaps Ofcom should be informed.
Very good experience about my inquiry
Brandon was very helpful with my request for the amazon £20 voucher which was sorted & was very prompt with his replies to my emails so had a very good experience when Froogul dealt with the matter.

Froogul
I purchased replacement bottle for my steam mop. The next day I received a call, saying they were from Thane, and to show their appreciation for my order they wanted to give me an Amazon voucher. He read the information very quickly. I heard something about 99.99, so asked him to repeat. He said I didn’t have to pay that if I cancelled after the trial. I was getting the voucher for free. They sent me an email. This was from froogul. I immediately rang them back and said I wasn’t interested. I also emailed and made them confirm the cancellation. I looked on my credit card and £1.99 was pending.
I wasn’t happy that my credit card details had been passed onto Froogul, and used to take £1.99 for some sort of subscription. But they made out it was a gift to all their customers. Even though I immediately cancelled the supposed trial, I was still charged. I looked on the www and found lots of complaints about the company. I will not shop with Thane again ! I did not receive any Amazon voucher. Scam.

Absolute scam. You will be ‘signed up’ without your knowledge. They will refuse to refund you and ‘claim’ that you had ‘consented’ to joining them by ‘setting up’
a password (as if that constitutes having permission to deduct money from people’s bank accounts!).
If they were a reputable company they would want to look after their customers rather than rip them off.
Very sad that Shopontv allow this to happen. Tarnishes their reputation and leaves a sour taste in the mouth.

as I didn't give them permission to share my data. Steer clear.

I have had £99.95 taken from my account. I was in a hurry and just told the person who phoned me to send me the details of the company and I would look into it. I did not receive an email or anything in the post. I did not give a password as is suggested on the feedback from Froogul from the reviews. If as you say you are not scammers why don’t you refund people their money back?
