Horrendous experience with FW home stores customer service
Dan in FW home stores Cardiff was great. However, our experience since with FW customer services has been horrendous. Sofa was delivered faulty; wire for reclining mechanism incorrectly sighted and no hole in fabric to attach foot. Delivery staff had no idea the sofa was even a recliner. They contacted someone who informed them to rip the fabric to fit the foot. Luckily he had more sense than to take that advice. The sofa was returned immediately with delivery driver. Within 48hrs we had informed the company that we wanted a refund and did not want a repair or replacement, as per our rights under the consumer rights act 2015. They have continued for best part of the last 2 weeks to try and enforce a repair or replacement on us, completely ignoring my request for a full refund. I still do not have a resolution to this issue. Very disappointing and frustrating experience that continues to waste mine and their time. Would not recommend this company to anyone as a result. Be warned.

We completely understand how disappointing and frustrating it must have been for the sofa to arrive with an issue, especially with the reclining mechanism not being correctly set up and the delivery team not having the right information at the time.
We’re also sorry that your request for a refund was not handled as clearly or promptly as it should have been. We appreciate that the back and forth has caused further frustration.

Why shop anywhere else for your furniture, FW Homestores has everything you need.
We went into the store looking for a sofa and ended up ordering a sofa, coffee table, dining table and chairs! This store offered an amazing range of good quality furniture at very reasonable prices. Martin was so helpful in showing us the different options available and was very knowledgeable about every product. He then stood back to give us space to have a chat which I really appreciated. We then saw the perfect dining table set and matching coffee table which was ideal. I thought I was going to have to trail round lots of shops to find what I was looking for, so I was very happy to be able to get everything from one store.

Barnstaple store
We recently purchased a sofa from FW Home Store and had a really positive experience from start to finish.
We were given plenty of time to browse and look around before anyone came over to assist us, which we really appreciated. There was absolutely no pressure to buy, and the whole experience felt relaxed and comfortable.
When we were ready for some help, the staff were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Everything was explained clearly, including the purchase details, insurance options and finance, so we felt fully informed before making our decision.

Great shopping experience
Staff in Newport store were really helpful, there to answer my many questions whilst letting me browse in peace. Had been in many other shops hunting for a sofa and was fed up being followed around & pounced on as soon as I just glanced at something. Held off posting review until it arrive but very happy with my purchase!

Traditional Sales without being pushy
It’s so lovely to go to a shop with traditional sales, which feels increasingly rare for 2026. To be greeted at the door, left alone to browse, but then have someone knowledgeable come over and help guide you to the right product & price point for what you’re after is a real benefit.
James was so helpful, the right balance of knowledge without being pushy. We walked away with a lovely new corner sofa & chair, very happy with his service.

Order number: 4367
Purchased a nautilus tv unit through their website. It arrived on 27 July with serious quality issues which were unacceptable given the price. After several phone calls and emailing photographs of the problems, it was agreed that a replacement unit would be sent. We had to chase this up multiple times having received no confirmation of the replacement being sent. This finally arrived on 11 August and the first unit exchanged with the courier. This unit also had a quality problem and no bolts were in the box to fit the legs (there was a hole in the box and the hardware had obviously fallen out). After yet another phone call, it was agreed that a goodwill gesture partial refund of £100 would be issued due to the whole inconvenience of the situation. This had to be chased multiple times on the phone, sometimes ringing time and time again as nobody would pick the phone up.
The bolts to fit the legs were posted out to us and received on 14 August but weren’t the correct size and so the legs still could not be fitted to the unit.
Yet again we had to contact customer services about having the correct bolts sent out to us and have had to chase this up multiple times. It has been so incredibly frustrating for such a simple thing to be resolved and a further goodwill refund was requested and received as we are just fed up with the whole thing. We have gone to the shop to source our own but not knowing what size to buy we bought too short bolts - further wasting our time which should not have to be done when paying the amount of money we did for the unit.
Today, 10 September, further bolts were received which are just more of the same previously received and are still too big for the fixtures on the unit. I cannot believe that this is not yet resolved and we’ve got the tv unit just sat in our living room with the legs still not attached. Not entirely sure why they cannot source the hardware from a unit in their warehouse and send this to us. It is an absolute joke.
Think twice before ordering from FW Homestores. We have had such a nightmare experience which is still ongoing, just after moving into a new home as well which is already stressful enough without buying shoddy furniture with multiple issues and having to chase matters up every other day.

Receiving an item with quality concerns, then a replacement with missing hardware, followed by incorrect bolts being sent more than once, is not good enough.
