I arranged a visit to GC to view a car. The car was well presented but not right for me. I was looked after by Neil Abbey. I was given the keys upon arrival and left to inspect the car on my own. Neil joined me and we took the car for a test drive. This was a no pressure salesman who could not do enough for me on the day. I would buy from these guys if the right vehicle turned up. Good experience. Thanks Neil.

Effective communication seems to be a problem for this car dealer and I would AVOID them at all costs if you want a straightforward and transparent experience.
I am very clear in my communication, having bought or leased a large amount of cars over the years I have been driving. I was very clear with Andy on how I would want a deal structured and the yearly mileage and payment I would be happy with. I was very clear that if they could not do that then I wouldn't be interested and I would not waste their time.
I had several confirmations from him that they had made it work and he gave me the monthly figure. It wasn't until the absolute last minute that I found out they had halved the yearly mileage to make it work and had clearly thought they could pull the wool over my eyes. This is not an acceptable situation for me as I keep my cars full term, Andy was aware of this and aware of my request, which he has now confirmed he DID write down. Their dealings with me stink of a lack of integrity and in my opinion they have been very dishonest. I would NOT recommend anyone who values integrity or clear communication to use this company for a car deal and it was also very evident that they were very quick to take my £2k deposit at 9am, but then the communication dried up and I had to chase them all day to get answers and progress a deal. I then find out at 7pm at night that due to the absolute obfuscation of the truth that this is totally unworkable and they have been downright dishonest.
Even to give them the benefit of the doubt and to say there was no dishonesty would mean that the alternative to that is a car salesman and his manager who are completely unable to communicate with each other, to the extent that the important details are not followed. I'm not that naive to think this was innocent and I am firmly of the belief that they felt they could flannel me and con me into a deal that does not suit me.
Utterly useless individuals. Avoid them at all cost. I have now found another car, in a very straightforward deal with a dealer who listens to me and keeps me updated with the exact numbers and terms I ask them for.
Rather than trying to pull the wool over someone's eyes just to con them into a deal, have some integrity and say you can't make the numbers work.

Recently bought our first Porche from here and it couldn't have been easier. The staff were friendly and helpful and did push at all. It was the easiest time we have had when buying a new car, I would definitely recommend and be going back when we want an upgrade.

Dealt with Warren from start to finish who was nothing but exceptional with the whole process from first call to organising a very last minute transport collection. Entire process done over the phone as I live in a different country and he made the entire thing a breeze and dealt with a last minute rush exceptionally. If you're thinking of buying form GC motors then ask for Warren, he's an exemplary example of what a sales man should be, polite, efficient and effective when things need over the line. Wouldn't hesitate to deal with GC motors knowing Warren would be helping me out again!

This public response to my formal complaint contains multiple demonstrably false claims and malicious personal attacks designed to evade responsibility. The attempt to rewrite the facts of this transaction is unacceptable, and I will be using this public record as further evidence in my ongoing complaint to The Motor Ombudsman and my County Court claim.Refutation of GC Motors' Falsehoods
1. Fabricated Issues with Part-Exchange Vehicle
Your assertion that my Range Rover Velar "needed £3,500 of extra work" and that I "failed to tell us that your front and rear cameras were not working" is a complete fabrication. The agreed-upon trade-in price was finalised after your visual inspection. This new, unsubstantiated claim is a transparent attempt to deflect from the non-disclosed defect you discovered on the Bentley after all my paperwork was signed. In fact there was no issue with any cameras until the eleventh hour when the car was in your possession and then you miraculously found a fault only with a rear camera that was not present and then tried to coerce me to pay £1000.
2. The Coerced £1000 Payment
I did not "offer £500 to diffuse the situation." This is a blatant misrepresentation of a duress-filled transaction. I was threatened by your Sales Manager, Pete Weightman, with the immediate forfeiture of my £2,000 deposit if I did not agree to pay an additional £1000 for a parking camera fault your own team discovered. This was financial coercion, which is a key part of my formal legal complaint. I was forced to negotiate the £500 payment with Giles (MD) under the threat of losing my deposit.
3. Handover Document and Vehicle Condition
Your claim that I inspected the vehicle and was "happy with it" is disingenuous. As outlined in my formal dispute, all finance and insurance paperwork was signed before I was allowed to see the car, which was still in your body shop. The parking camera issue—and the subsequent demand for payment—was sprung on me at the last minute, just as I was ready to leave. Any signed "handover document" was executed under the duress you created, making it invalid as a true testament to my satisfaction.
4. Undisclosed Physical Defects
The Bentley Continental GT was explicitly presented to me as being "in new condition" and "free of any scratches, embellishments or any body issues." Your dismissive suggestion that damaged badges and the spoiler are "small items that you would expect on a 10-year-old car" directly contradicts your pre-sale guarantee of "new condition." I am pursuing a resolution that aligns with the quality promised at the point of sale, not what is merely "expected" of a worn vehicle.
5. Blackmail and Refusal to Fix
Your claim of "blackmail" is an outrageous slur against a formal consumer dispute. My communication clearly outlined specific, required resolutions: a refund of the £500 duress payment, a guarantee to cover the repair of the badges/spoiler, and the £650 cost of the Apple CarPlay upgrade to resolve the phone audio issue. I did not refuse repairs; I asked for a commitment to cover the costs of these repairs and upgrades, which your company previously declined to cover or was unresponsive about.
6. The Legal Registration Failure
The assertion that I "insisted" my private plate be put on "knowing the transfer was not completed" is a malicious falsehood. It is the legal responsibility of the dealership to ensure a vehicle is correctly registered, taxed, and insured before handover. Your company's "neglect in handling the DVLA registration and plate transfer" over the full week is what resulted in me being stopped by the police, detained on the motorway, and facing the threat of the vehicle being impounded. The subsequent email from your colleague, Emily Simmons, confirming she had to "process a change of keeper, and... subsequently assigned Mr Bhalla's private plate A2SKB," serves as conclusive proof that the process was not completed when I left, making your company entirely responsible for the police incident.
I reject your public attempt to misrepresent the facts of this deeply flawed transaction. This public statement only serves to confirm the concerning business practices I have already outlined. I await the formal contact from your solicitors as I proceed with all available legal avenues to resolve this matter.

Once again GC Motors has excelled at 'sorting' my current car. I have had many cars looked after by GC over the past few years. Some owned by me, some owned by my employers. All have been very well looked after by knowledgeable people who care about "Customer Service". This time they corrected a self inflicted fault, for the second time! All done with grace and good humour. Their work is top class but the cost is very reasonable. I wouldn't go anywhere else. And neither should you!

I recently enjoyed collecting a range rover sport p400e from GC motors,after driving 450 miles from an hour noth of Inverness ,my whole experience dealing with staff,mainly Jordan Walker and Laura Convey,Paul and Emily,can only be described as faultless, they went above and beyond whilst delivering a very helpful and honest stress free service. I recieved a fair trade in price for my Bentley gt speed against a fair priced range rover sport,.most of our initial contact was via WhatsApp facetime and I felt instantly that Jordan was a totally trustworthy salesman who I liked to do buisness with,Laura guided me professionally,patiently and personably through my on line gremlins and during my handover at the showroom with Jordan.Dealing with GCMOTORS didn't disappoint in anyway or at any stage,I will certainly reccomend GCMOTORS to anyone looking for a fair ,honest ,reliable car dealership,Andy Hughes.
