Hi , I bought online a pair of Berghaus shoes ordering the same size as a pair of the same make boots Ive had for a while. Unfortunately they came up smaller in fit and a return is required. I was told by a member of staff in your York shop that I could return to store. However I took them to the Lincoln store near where I live to be told I had to post them, a wasted trip.
Not much of a reply from go outdoors so no point in further dialogue.

Visited Lincoln store today 3rd February for some walking boots found exactly what I wanted with the help of Samantha who was very helpful and knowledgeable.

We visited Go Outdoors in Lincoln on 30th January 2026 looking for a specific make of walking shoe for my husband. Both members of staff who helped us were very helpful and informative without being pushy. So much so that when Donna suggested a brand that we hadn't considered we gave it a try. She clearly knows her stock and knows about bestsellers so her advice was priceless.

Donna was very helpful and lovely with the children. Tried to upsell like she has been told to but was in no way pushy. She was approachable and made us feel like we could take our time over our choices. A good store in general, but Donna improved the whole experience.

The Lincoln store had exactly what I wanted, in stock and at a competitive price. I needed a wheel clamp and a wastemaster for my caravan. I checked prices online before buying and they're the same price as most other retailers but on the shelf in front if me there and then. I also ended up buying bags for the wastemaster and my aquaroll as well as 2 into 1 waste pipes so everything I needed to get me going.

Donna, you were a ray of sunshine! & you also helped me find my dream walking boots.

I've just returned from buying some walking shoes at the Lincoln store and thought the level of service received from store assistant Ben was fantastic. He was just about to clock off but stayed behind to help my son try on some shoes. We tried on 3 pairs before settling on some shoes he recommended. His knowledge, advice and patience was much appreciated.

I visited go outdoors in Lincoln to buy laces for my training shoes. Claire took me to the latest display and then measured the lace in my training shoe to make sure I bought the right length. I was having difficulty threading the new lace through one of the eyes when Donna arrived, and threaded the lace for me. I couldn’t have wished for better service.

Workers were lovely and more than happy to give help and advice when needed.

Excellent service at Lincoln branch from Abe and Fenton who found me the correct walking trousers I was looking for and found a tape measure so I could measure the leg length. Service with a smile, friendly and nothing too much trouble.

I have a few issues when choosing new shoes as I have quite wide feet, but Claire who served me was very helpful and patient, even though the shop was quite busy.

Bought new walking boots among other things, and received friendly and professional help from Abraham, who is both knowledgeable and very patient. Sam on the till was also very polite and patient while I sorted out my purchases. I always find Go Outdoors staff excellent in the 2 branches I use, and enjoy shopping here.
