Something is very wrong at HA - formerly great
Something is wrong at HA. Are they going out of business? I loved the quality of this company's clothes when my kids were little, (though I couldn't afford more than a few outfits). Still love the quality. But something is very wrong with their shipping system!!! A Christmas order for my grandkids was completely lost. They couldn't locate the order when I called. Finally did refund after many weeks contacting them. Also a previous return was delivered to their warehouse but they needed 4 weeks to process the refund. Weird.
Rude, unreasonable customer service
I placed a huge order last week, and 2 days later I got an e-mail saying everything was marked down an extra 25%. I contacted Customer Service to ask about getting a price adjustment and they told me they wouldn't do it. My order hasn't even shipped, and they won't adjust the price. The customer service agent was very rude- I told her how upset I was at this policy and her response was 'Thank You' and she ended the chat. I have placed several orders before with this company but this will be my last. I'd rather spend my money at a business that actually cares about keeping their customers happy.
Negative experience
I really hate it when companies force me to write negative reviews. I bought 2 pair of pajamas on the 40% off sale on December 1, 2019. Today is December 26 and I haven’t received one pair yet so I started searching through my email and noticed I got a cancellation from their shipping department. They said my item is no longer in stock. So I went onto the website today and my item was in stock but the price now is full price. So I called customer service to see if they would ship me the items that I had ordered on the 1st of December at the price I had ordered them at. They refused. So what they’re saying is we ran out of discount pajamas but we have the same pajamas at full price if you want them. This is just really bad customer service. I am so disappointed. I really liked their pajamas, but I can’t support a company that treats their customers this way. I’m just shocked at how little they value their customers. (This review is for the company as a whole. I did not visit the retail location. All my interactions were online and with their customer service)

Updated review: - After I had written a review with a one star rating they finally reacted to my emails, apologized and reimbursed the money for the express shipping, so - some customer service at last! They even were so kind to send me a gift card - they are really trying to improve their customer relations! Thanks! I now feel more confident to order with them again.

I am - or better was - a loyal customer and over the years have ordered many things at Hanna Anderson. For the last order of 14 items I chose 3day express delivery, paying 14 $ extra because we needed some of the clothes urgently, but only three out of these 14 items arrived on time and not the ones we needed first. When I ordered, all items were in stock and according to the order confirmation would be delivered in 3 work days. But the majority arrived 4 days late ( after 7 workdays) - without any explanation given. I emailed the company three times and left feedback, kindly asking for the refund of my 14$ for the express shipping.No reaction whatsoever.... What a horrible customer service!!!
Terrible website and customer service
Terrible website and customer service. I will never buy from Hanna Andersson again. I've spent two days trying to undo the mess the four orders I placed yesterday are in. The company cancelled some pants I'd ordered as Christmas gifts because they were out of stock. I checked and they were shown as still available on the website. When I tried to buy something to replace the pants, I couldn't get the 40% off I got yesterday. There was a different sale today - 30% off store-wide. But the items I wanted were excluded from the sale. So the pjs I bought yesterday at 40% off for $27.60 cost $46 today.
I contacted Hanna Andersson. I tried to chat, but it kept timing out. I waited on the phone for 26 minutes for customer service. I got nowhere.
If I were you, I'd deal with another company and save yourself the headache.
Horrible
Horrible. Placed an order on December 1. Guaranteed delivery within 7-10 business days. Over a week later the order was still not even shipped but was told it was “too late to cancel” the order. Called on December 11th, again told I would have it by Dec 13th even though the FedEx site said it hadn’t even shipped yet. Rep blamed it on FedEx’s lack of updated data this time of year. Wrote email to HA on 12/13, when I saw that they had missed the promised delivery date. finally able to track and the FedEx estimate for delivery was now for Dec 19. Asked for explanation from HA and how I could return it when and if it finally arrived. They guaranteed that my return would be free. Then told me my order and others had been discovered sitting in a truck in a FedEx parking lot, again blaming it on FedEx. NEVER ORDER FROM HANNA ANDERSON!!!!
Terrible communication
Terrible communication. I placed an order on dec 2nd (in hopes to give it as a Christmas gift). Anyways, it was an outfit, 3 separate items (pants, shirt and bow). I ordered all 3 items at same time/same order. Called 10 days later because I had not received anything and no emails.
Waited on hold 30 mins... only to be told that the pants and bow shipped and would arrive in a day. But the shirt was out of stock. No estimated date of delivery. They hadn’t even reached out to tell me this.
Terrible. Not ordering from this store again.
I would give zero stars if possible
I placed two orders and I am so angry and disappointed with both of them. :(
First was shipped after 6 days! Though the delivery estimate to Japan is 6-8days (I paid 35USD for Japan express shipping). Of course it did not make it within the given time. But that was not the worst. They divided 5 items into two parcels! All of them were sale items, but still I had to pay tax and duties upon arrival, yes - twice! For both the parcels. I was mad. Why they divide 5 items in two small parcels? Stupid and not nice to international customers who have to pay taxes and duties upon arrival.
And now the second time, not only that from placing the order to the actual shipment it took 10 DAYS this time, they also sent me an e-mail that one of the three items is unavailable and cancelled! Unbelievable! This has never happened to me with another online retailer, even s very cheap one like H&M - they are superb. I hope this time they won't divide the two items itno two parcels, because for some reason, they have sent me "Order Shipped" e-mail twice, one for each item! This is too much money and stress not worth the clothing. Never order from Hanna again. Also the CS does not reply to e-mails. I have to ask them many times until I receive a reply, which is not helpful anyway. More like a robotic reply.
UPDATE 01/11/2020
I made three orders total (one in late Nov and two in early Dec 2019). All three were divided into two parcels, though I ordered only a few items each time. They divided even order of two items in two separate cardboard boxes. Not only that there was space for both items in one box, but it is not eco-frinedly at all, and not international customer friendly, as I had to pay quite expensive import tax for each box. :( And, one of the boxes of my second order containing only one dress has got lost. I ordered on Dec 03 and still have not received it. I received the other box with rest of the items of this order many weeks ago. I sent an e-mail to CS, they told me they could not provide the the same item anymore as it was sold out, so they would forward my e-mail to someone else so they issue me a refund. This was about a week ago, but I have not heard from them anymore. :(

They are just terrible. The clothes are nice but be sure of what you want and the size you want because if you need to return anything they’ll take forever to check it and give you a gift card at the end of the day. I ll NEVER buy anything from this store ever again.

First time ordering from Hanna Andersson and shipment received was missing half the items! Customer service is non-existent, couldn’t get anyone over the phone and emails are not answered. I filed dispute with my credit card for the missing items billed and will certainly file a complaint with the BBB. Please avoid shopping there to save yourself from aggravation.

Read below. They contacted me in January and made good the 20% offer. Hanna Anderssons website states that in exchange for your email, you will receive a 20% discount code on your first order and that’s all it says. When I went to place my order and put the code in , it states invalid.
Apparently they sent me an email stating that it’s not applicable to sale items. I didn’t receive it because I was trying to place my order . I believe this is false advertising and simply a way to acquire emails . customer service was not helpful and I have cancelled my order.
Want to add that I was contacted in January and refunded my 20% and given a gift certificate. I conclude that they do care about their customer service , altho , if I hadn’t written the original review, I don’t think I’d have heard from them again. I’m looking forward to see if they change their initial 20% off offer. I certainly feel better about them . Thank you for paying attention, Heidi from Hannah Andersson .

This is an update to my previous post. I ordered a gift for a friend and needed it the next day. I paid 25 dollars for overnight delivery. The next day I was informed it would be coming in 3 days. I called and told them to cancel the order and refund the money for the gift and the shipping. I have been waiting for 8 days and nothing has happened. They tell me they are running a little behind on refunds. They weren't running behind when they took my money. I have talked to 3 people and they all have very nasty condescending attitudes. This is one of the worst companies I have ever dealt with

Refund process is extremely difficult. Supposedly return labels almost never work. I’ve gone all around town just to find out that the shipping label doesn’t work. On the phone with Hanna Anderson and the customer service is a bit ridiculous. The person I spoke to was confusing and seemed very uninterested. I was told you cannot return the package to a normal usps store as their labels don’t usually work...you have to find a blue bin and supposedly it will be processed if you don’t speak with any usps workers. Also, you have to take a picture of your box in order to have a personal receipt. There is no way to prove I dropped off the box or they received it because the label doesn’t work. Seems a bit ridiculous if you ask me.

I used to love Hanna pants and shirts for my boys. Expensive but I figured they would last. Uggh not even through the summer. Ripped shirts and shorts with holes in them .the cotton doesn’t fell as heavyweight and durable it’s thin and flimsy. Not paying extra anymore for that. I wish Gymboree was still around my kids wore them to death and we were still able to pass them on to others like brand new. So annoyed

Horrible overpriced products. Ordered training boy underpants. Bought 2 packs for $50. Overpriced junk. When I called to return. I was told that it was unable to be returned. Junk Products and Just business policies. STAY AWAY
