Easy to book good communication and service.

I save in a tin all year for my car MOT and put the cash in a tin. I do this because, I hate tapping a debit card, as it’s hard to know what you are spending, and if it’s in my acc it’s easy to dip into it and it dwindles away. I do not own a credit card. ( nor do I owe anyone money ! Call it old fashioned but that’s how I roll) so when paying today for a small service and MOT, as he got card machine ready I said it’s cash , he said we don’t take cash. I’ve been using this garage for several years, and there is no sign up saying cash only. So I said well it’s cash I have , it’s legal tender and I don’t have a credit card. Eventually I got to use my cash, I said to him I’m afraid I will not be coming back and I will tell the head office company why snd he said oh it’s not we won’t take cash we may in the future !!!??? Sorry they do good mechanical work but I will not be treated as though cash is a dirty word and I have made the decision not to use any company that won’t take cash, restaurants pubs shops, I’m not gonna use if they don’t take cash. I went to Italy last year for a few days I never came across it there. I don’t understand why we are doing it here.( Well I do , it’s because of some politicians, not the ones I vote for) so sadly the work might be good, but I don’t want to feel intimidated because I’m using legal tender!

From the first telephone contact to completion of the work 10 days later, the delay being due to parts needing to be ordered, everyone I dealt with was
polite, patient in answering my questions, and from the summaries of work carried out, did a detailed and very thorough job.

Ruined and scratched the vehicles alloys and left them really dirty with missing tire caps. Management was really uninterested as well.

Good communication with branch and sorted out repair as agreed with no fuss
