Hughes Driver Training Opiniones

Passed my category C with Nick in Northampton. He is a brilliant instructor gave me loads of confidence and help!

The journey from being a standard car driver to becoming a fully qualified C+E commercial driver isn’t always straightforward, and the overall process can feel broken at times, with hurdles along the way.
That said, the real shining star of the experience was Hughes Driver Training (HDT)’s driver trainers. The instructors are exceptional — knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and genuinely focused on turning you into a safe, confident, and competent professional driver. The training itself is absolutely 5‑star.
While the office support and communication could benefit from some improvement, and the reliability of equipment was occasionally questionable, none of this detracted from the quality of instruction once you were in the cab.
A huge thank you to all the trainers, and a special mention to Andy B for his excellent preparation, guidance, and support in the lead‑up to my test — which I’m delighted to say I passed successfully today.
If you’re looking for top‑class driver training delivered by people who truly know their craft, the instructors at HDT are outstanding.

I would like to say a massive thank you to the entire Hughes Driving Academy for supporting me throughout my journey to gaining my C+E driving licence.

A special thanks to the Northampton team — Keith, Nick, and Zara — you are all fantastic, and I couldn’t have done it without you.

I highly recommend this academy to anyone planning to become an HGV driver.

Ady was a fantastic tutor and gave me so much great advice. Had a great experience
I highly recommend Ady and HDT.

Would like to thank Adi for his patience with me, and for having faith in me.

I joined the Derbyshire Alfreton team, for my class 1 and had Andy lead instructor.
What a down to earth strong instructor I’ve learnt so from him, I built confidence in stuff I didn’t know I needed thank you.
Highly recommend

Had Keith as an instructor in Northampton very professional and brilliant instructor 1st time pass and confident to drive

Instructor was amazing passed first time on everything couldn’t be more impressed with the service

Cannot recommend HDT enough, cat c+e and both my instructors from Leeds were brilliant. Dan and Mark are very very good in what they do. Passed first time.

Trailer driving course, the instructor was very good at passing knowledge and on the driving side was encouraging and gave positive feedback .
Would highly recommend

Great instructors. Zara from the Northampton training center has been really helpful.

My instructor Steve from Plymouth was such a fantastic instructor. I was so nervous about driving a Class 1 HGV but Steve Is so patient and laid back and was very good at explaining everything I needed to know and also kept me calm and collected during my whole course.
I passed first time and I couldn't have done it without Steve so thankyou so much! Dan

A very intense experience for the PSV course but excellently led throughout by Adrian (Ady). Explained things very clearly. I was fearful of driving such a large vehicle on the first day but Ady kept me calm throughout and reassured me.

Brilliant company! Big shout out to the instructor from Bristol Jim (Nige)! Makes you feel relaxed lovely guy! He’ll be glad to know we kept his pass percentages high!! Highly recommend!!

I can’t recommend Hughes Driver Training Ltd enough! I just passed my test on the first attempt, and it’s all down to the quality of the training here. My instructor, Paul was incredibly patient and made the whole learning process enjoyable and strees free. The lorries are well-maintained and great to drive. If you're looking to get your license quickly and confidently, this is the place to go!

All good , recommended
Thank you Heidi

I booked my class 1 training with Hughes after speaking with Matt on the phone and hearing of a Black Friday offer they had coming up - who’d have thought it on HGV training?

The whole onboarding process was smooth with plenty of payment options if required.

Communication was generally good the whole way throughout the process of doing medical/theory/cpc/practical tests which are all arranged and booked by Hughes, all you have to do is turn up having done the revision where required.

Course learning materials were very good, including the online interactive theory/hazard perception.

Saving the absolute best till last was the practical training based out of the Wellingborough training centre. I was fortunate enough to have Heidi as my instructor throughout the process, she took me from having never driven an artic before on the Monday to a very good pass on the Friday.
Excellent training style, has years behind the wheel so has seen it all and uses that experience to the candidates advantage coupled with her great sense of humour it was a really good week.

Would highly reccomend both Heidi and Hughes Driver Training

Heidi was a fantastic instructor, and made the lessons alot easier once I'd got my bearings, would highly recommend to anyone 😁
