John Phillips and guys did A beautiful job !!! Clean everything up as they when so my house was kept very clean.. Very professional!! I had 3 bed rooms a hallway a great room and a living room done less then 7 hours just AWSOME!!

Jeanne was very helpful
Jeanne was very helpful. Came to the house to measure and let us take samples home to look over. There was an abundance of choices. She explained the pricing procedures and payment procedure. My phone calls were returned promptly. We received a mailing with spot remover solutions. Carpet layers did a good job.
Ways to improve could include a prompt lay date instead of 2 1/2 week wait. We were told that by making one choice there would be a very small piece of carpet left over. However, there is a huge piece leftover which we apparently have paid for. (30 square feet? ) Also the cost for moving the organ was way too high. We moved it ourselves.

I can't begin to tell you how appreciative we are for your thoughtful and most helpful comments. As a business owner we sometimes forget to see things in the eyes of the consumer. And without constructive criticism we can't improve. When their is a delay in material shipments, we need to communicate that with our customer. And when there seems to be more carpet than what was expected, we must explain that better to the customer why that could happen.
I would be very happy to bind the edges of your left over carpet in order to make an area rug or walk off mats for you if you'd like. Just bring the left over piece and we'll send it out for binding at no charge at all. It could possibly make for a wonderful area rug somewhere in your home.
In any case, we do appreciate your trust and confidence and I am so glad Jeane helped you find the carpet you love. Catherine Buchanan -Owner

The best flooring store in town.
It is always a great experience when working with a family owned business rather than the big box corporate stores. The folks at IC always share their enthusiasm for your flooring project. Buying carpet from independent carpet…
Buying carpet from independent carpet one was great. Our sales person, Janet D'Ascenzo, and our installer, Joe, did a great job. We payed a good price and the installed carpet looks great. We have used independent carpet before and once again they did a great job. I'd recommend them!

My customer is very unhappy we have…WITH THE NEW FLOOR AND CARPET PAD
My customer is very unhappy we have been trying to get the customer concerns taken care of. 1. Bubble in the new floor 2. Carpet has a hump in the pad. 3. Carpet was not iron on the joint. Gary is going to the job Wednesday May 23, 2018 I hope Gary can get the problem corrected.
i was satisfied with the service from Bob Francavilla and the sales person Jennie they are doing everything to help. They are good sales persons.

Consider before purchasing...
It started with the estimate in which the salesman, Bob Francavilla, tried to gouge us with the initial estimate. Unfortunately, he did not know we had already received an estimate from another company before going there. It took bartering which I was not happy with, but eventually, we agreed on a fair price.
The day of the installation, the installers were two hours late. They used my bathroom and did not clean up after themselves. Once finished installing the carpet, they did not vacuum and left their garbage and scraps.
On a positive note, the salesman Bob did offer to come to my house and vacuum. Unfortunately, I could not wait because I had to be somewhere which I was late for because the installers were two hours late. There was no follow up call from Bob. I will not go back and do not recommend them to anyone.

Oh dear! I am sorry to read this review I will definitely have Bob and our Installation Manager speak to the installation team about not vacuuming and leaving your bathroom in an unorderly fashion along with the delayed installation time even though we don't promise a particular time period of arrival. Typically our installers will call when they are in route. For these issues I am deeply sorry for the poor experience.. This is not like our installation team at all. I will definitely speak with your sales associate and maybe he will be able to shed some light on this order so we can discuss these matters and improve on our service to future clients. Recently
Recently, I purchased a new condo and was excited but I knew, that I really didn't have the eye for decorating. Cathy Buchanan, is an interior designer and a true professional! She made this process so easy, she listened to what I wanted, she paid attention to every detail, she made sure everything matched; the tile matched the counter tops, which matched the paint and of course the carpet is outstanding, what a great job!
Independent Carpet One and their team of professionals followed my job from start to finish, I couldn't believe it, my condo is a small job and they treated me like mine was the most important job they had, this experience could not have been better and my place looks great!

New Carpet Purchase
I worked with Cathy Buchanan of Independent Carpet One Westland selecting new carpet for two rooms in my home. Cathy is a pleasure to work with, explains products completely, and brings an interior design viewpoint to the selection process. I have worked with her on several projects and dealing with her is a pleasure! The carpet was installed by Jason and Doug and they did a wonderful job. Independent Carpet One Westland responded quickly to a few questions I had after the installation. I’m very happy with my new carpet and would chose to shop for flooring there again.
