As always, we had a good experience when purchasing our carpeting. We needed to have the carpeting installed quickly due to pending delivery of our furniture and they were able to accommodate our need. We had fast, friendly, courteous, professional, and knowledgeable service from our sale representative. We would definitely shop at Independent Carpet One in the future.

We are very happy with the color, the look and the durability of our new floor. It is beautiful! The staff was very professional. I took many samples home with no hassle. Cathy came out to our home with samples once I decided what type of floor I wanted and the color we were looking for to see what would look good in our home. Joe installed our floor and worked the whole time he was there. He was helpful when I asked questions. I will be recommending you to family and friends.

We could not have had a better experience with Independent Carpet! We love our new wood floor and cannot say nearly enough about the installer Joe. He was very professional, a hard worker, did an outstanding job at both the flooring and the new molding. We will continue our business with Independent Carpets and looking forward to getting new carpeting in our bedrooms! I feel that Catherine has become a friend as she has been a tremendous help in some of our decorating as well as flooring decisions! We will be in again soon to discuss some type of a rug for our dining room and livingroom😀

The whole experience with Independent Carpet One was great. When we walked in the store Jason asked what I was looking for and showed us carpet in that price range and color I was interested in for my house. He gave me an estimate on the sizes I told him rooms were and was within a couple hundred of dollars with end price. Got samples for me to take home, ordered carpet and I was called when it came in and set up install date. The installers called before they came and worked quickly and very professionally. When they finished they vacuumed the house and then had me check all the rooms. I would recommend them to all my friends and family.

Everything about our experience with Independent Carpet One was excellent. Bob found us the perfect carpet for our basement. The installation process was flawless. I was incredibly pleased and would recommend to anyone.

The crew showed up on time and got right to work. They did an excellent job installing the carpet. They were very friendly and helpful, even moving furniture for us. After a week of living with the new carpet we are very happy with both the product and the installation. We will definitely use Independent Carpet One Westland again.

The crew came in and proceeded to strip old carpet and install the new. They worked together well and took care when moving furniture. They finished and placed the furniture where I wanted it. Also, they cleaned up well. I am very satisfied. This was the second time we purchased carpeting from Inependent Carpet One in Westland and are again very satisfied.

Wonderful staff, huge help in deciding what carpet is best for your needs. Great service, installation. Looking forward to getting the new vertical blinds this week! Bought our kitchen flooring here last year. Won’t shop anywhere else, you won’t get the attention and service you need anywhere else!!

Absolutely horrible experience with this company. They received my carpet from the mill that was cut short. They knew it was cut short and still sent it with the installers and did not tell the installers it was short. When trying to contact the management, they were rude and short. When asked for calls backs to discuss this, that never happened. The company did nothing for the inconvenience, of which I had to take another day off work - unpaid. All they wanted to do was talk about their process and how it should work.

My family has used them for decades. None of us will never use them again and I will make sure no one I know uses them.

The current management is horrible. This type of customer service would never have been there when the father was still running the business. I know this for a fact, because my parents went to school with him.

I understand when things are outside of your control. And I agree you obtained the replacement very quickly. I do appreciate that, however, your company created the problem.
While it is true, the mill shorted you on the carpet. Your company knowingly and deliberately attempted to hide that the carpet order was short and install an inferior solution. It started with the team that cut the carpet. They knew it was short, it then loaded in the installers van. The installers were never informed that the carpet was short. Mid-way through the install, it was discovered that one room would be short. When the installers contacted the store, they were told to take a scrap piece from the other room and ¼ turn it. I would have a 12’ x 9” piece of carpet (in standard 12x12 room) that not only had a seam, but did not match the rest of the room, as the carpet was a dimensional carpet. We tried talking to the installation manager to get to the bottom of the issue and possible resolution, with no avail. We asked to have a manager call us– no one ever called. It was the installers that informed us of everything. Including, the final solution which required me to take a day off work without pay.
You can keep your insincere apology and fake statement that your family prides themselves on service. Your father certainly did. Since then, you only care about the money. That is clear from talking to many of your customers. And as evidenced by the recent conversation we had, in which I had to call my salesperson who never knew any of the problems we had. During that conversation, you never once apologized for the inconvenience nor offered any sort of compensation. In fact, all you offered was to send me the bill and threaten me to pay it or face collection and a lien on my home. I was able to negotiate an extra $100 off my over $6,000 job BEFORE your company purposely tried to defraud me and you even acted like I should be thankful for that.
For anyone reading this, avoid this business at all cost. There are plenty of flooring companies in the area that will treat you honorably and respectfully. Independent Carpet One in Westland is not one of those companies.

Working with Independent Carpet One Westland has been an absolute pleasure. Cathy went above and beyond to coordinate the best flooring with our paint and the carpet we chose really made the whole room! The installer Joe Bazzoun, and his crew, moved any furniture that needed to be moved and installed the carpet quickly and efficiently. They cleaned every scrap up and left the place spotless. From start to finish, I would 100% recommend Independent Carpet One!
