Echoing the sentiments of the other two…

Echoing the sentiments of the other two posts, IPM sucks ass when it comes to customer/technical support. They only have one person answering tech support calls, ONE! While Dan may be a nice guy in real life, his knowledge in hosting sucks and his inability to pivot for a customer is a trait not learned by him. They have no direct contact amongst departments, no chat whatsoever, and everything has to be handled by email. We are definitely leaving the Ignorant People Management company for one that actually cares about customers!

This is a company one should avoid

This is a company one should avoid. They used to be great, then they were bought by NewTek who's tech support got so bad that once they replied to a submitted support ticket as resolved, 6 months after I submitted it. Or the time they sent me an invoice for over $64,000 due to an issue with a recent system update that they never apologized for. Thankfully the auto-billing card on file doesn't have a limit that high. Now they have been bought by IPM and their customer support has actually gotten worse. I have a site down issue, my whole web site is down due to changes they made to the plan I purchased back in 2013 that I was grandfathered into. 2 support tickets and after I submitted them, nothing. No confirmation email and they don't display under the submitted tickets in their hosting admin. I click on contact to get a phone number to call directly to get this resolved. They no longer have a contact phone number listed only a contact form. Filled that out and again no feedback email that I contacted them or received a reply. Now I am panic migrating to a new hosting company to ensure my clients website is open for business.

Need a webhost? Don't look to IPM.

IPM used to be Newtek Webhosting. Before Newtek Webhosting, it was Crystaltech Webhosting. Crystaltech was awesome - smart, quick, and customer-focused. When it became Newtek, quality of support definitely took a hit, but we could still get our work down. Now, with IPM holding the pink slip for Newtek, the reliability of hosting operations has declined noticeably, and there is virtually NO technical or billing support. My clients are experiencing more E-mail problems than they ever did with CrystalTech or Newtek. We're curious why IPM opted to downgrade operations.
IPM has brought a new trick to the table that I have never before encountered in all my years of webhosting. That trick is billing for services that were never ordered or desired. Oh, and when you catch them playing this dirty little game, they will shut off the unwanted services, but you're NOT getting a refund on the fees that were stolen from you along the way. The person you have to be very careful around is Kathy Higgins. She understands collecting revenue, but she understands ZERO about delivering a world-class webhost experience to her client. She's a VP, but she is mean, vindictive, poorly informed, and wholly uninterested in your concerns. I have shared these facts with my clients and most of them have requested that their sites be moved off of IPM by the end of Q2, so that's what I'll have to do. It's so sad when good companies are driven into the ground by incompetence, don't you agree?
