I ordered poached eggs on sourdough toast. One of the eggs was overcooked, more like a hard boiled egg and the very thinly sliced sourdough bread was over toasted and hard.

Lovely food and lovely service.

Had to time to punch in prior to hospital appointment- Ordered tea £3.90 - after 10 mins arrived with almond milk , reordered, took further 15 mins to arrive - large pot small volume with 1 tea bag. Not brewed and had to leave as had tea was too weak and tasteless - over priced with basic food. Stressful cuppa - won’t be back - staff not pleasant

£3.20 for a cup of tea? It's literally a mug sized pot with mildly hot water, a tea bag, and a wee bit of milk. I was shocked at the price. Can't afford to be having too many of those in one week!

Great menu. Tasty food. Well presented. Smiley service. Good value

We have been waiting for over half hour to be served. While sitting we saw lots of customers sending back their food and their coffee, not giving us much hope of what we were going to get and when. Got my bacon roll, the bacon was nice but the roll was awful. Toasted inside freezing cold on the outside. Bread felt either frozen or old. I like to drink tea with my roll, but by the time we were served the tea was ice cold. How full experience

food was good but breakfast for what i paid was not a lot for the money plus cold Hash Browns 2 small slices of bacon one slice of toast unbuttered the Sausages were good though plus my wife had 2 small slices of Bacon 2 fried Eggs plus very good Chips plus drinks.

Would say the food is amazing but there is a waitress/barista who is really rude and smiles with who she fancies this is not the 1st time ive been here and encountered such horrific behaviour but what I can say the male workers are very mannerly and great. This waitress needs training too damn rude man.

I visited here and it was my first time. I ordered a coffee (which was delicious!) And i asked for a recommendation and tried the lemon cake it was devine! I even took some for home! I've been dreaming about the coffee and cakes! The coffee was tasteful and hot the beans as a coffee lover you would appreicate beats starbucks etc it's definitely turned my head and I refuse to go anywhere else. And when I tell you how fresh the cakes were! Whatever they are doing please continue best cafe around! See you soon!

Ordered latte with coconut milk (extra charge 0.50 p) and was served dairy milk. Asked for a replacement and was told (with a raised voice)by a waitress, that the barista said it’s coconut. Will I ever come back? No. Will I tell my story to others about customer service? Yes.
I am giving 2* because they previously served me a nice coconut latte.

I visited the gillingham site today for what I expected to be a quick lunch
After waiting for 10 minutes to order
I ordered a flat white and a posh toasted cheese sandwich.
I sat at a table near the counter and waited and waited
After about 15 minutes my coffee eventually arrived with a slight spill in the saucer!
The sand which arrived 20 odd minutes after being ordered. It was passable as toasted sandwiches go.
I wasn’t the only one being kept waiting in fact I think it was the normal
Nearby there is a Costa and Greggs who serve equall quality drink and sandwiches
The only thing about my visit was taking my money.
Will I use Jamaica Blue again
I doubt it

Called in this morning to the Gloucester Jamaica Blue for a cuppa. My wife joined me for a coffee a little later. The service was great and the drinks brought to the table, fabulous. The tea was actually so flavoursome I nearly ordered a second pot there and then! The cafe was clean and tidy and staff attentive. Will go again!

We decided to visit Jamaica Blue (Telford) for lunch during a shopping trip. We found a table which was quickly cleaned down for us. We decided what we wanted and then a member of our party went to the counter to order for us. Upon being served, they were told that the kitchen was no longer taking food orders that day, despite it only being 1:20pm on a busy Saturday?! There was no sign up to inform customers of this prior to seating themselves in the restaurant. The staff were somewhat apologetic but seemed unbothered that multiple customers had wasted time viewing menus that they could not order from. In addition to us, other tables had began to leave instead of order. We instead went to Novello Lounge on Southwater which was lovely!

Visited the restaurant today at Rushden Lakes.
Couldn’t drink our tea as milk was frothy and oily. Toast was cold and only toasted on one side. Butter was hard and un-spreadable.
Environment was dirty, particularly under the tables. Food and grease visible under the furniture, on the skirting boards and around the seating areas.

Went into this cafe in the arndale centre, lovely prompt service, food really good and fresh and hot.

Hempstead valley, Awful service, uncleared tables with crockery everywhere, our table dirty, waited 15 minutes just for a coffee, will not be going back.

Jamaica blue Telford never keeps their workers,always changing hands, l wonder if the CEO takes note of this,This will surely take the business down if nothing is done about it

ILFORD ...not interested in customers, was there this morning and asked for Benny Eggs breakfast - requested for the eggs to be scrambled instead of poached, but told they cannot do this, I could order a side plate of scrambled eggs though! The Assistant/person taking the order said head office doesn't allow changes. Not happy to say the least, and we left, there loss of business in this so called hard times (approx £40.00)
