Lorraine, Michelle and the team at the Tynemouth branch helped us with my late Mothers property. Absolutely brilliant and professional service. We were updated at all times, and found it easy to stay in touch. The lovely staff really helped us through a sad time. Could not fault them at all, and cannot recommend others to use Jan Forster enough. Thank you.

Jan Forster Estates have found excellent tenants for my rental property for several years, so they were my first choice when I decided to sell and I have not been disappointed.

Joyce, in particular, has gone above and beyond to help me with the presentation of the house and has liaised with the buyer regularly, keeping me up to date on developments.

I would recommend this company for both lettings and sales.

I have nothing but great words to say about Jan Forster Estates in Gosforth. I bought my first home and dealt with Louise. She was quick to update me and chase up the sale with the solicitors. I heard from her more than my solicitor so cannot thank her enough! If we ever come to sell the house we will 100% come back

I sold my property through Jan Foster and the process was seamless - from arranging professional photos, helping us find a buyer and guiding us through the sales process we couldn't be happier and wouldn't hesitate to contact them in the future.

After looking for. Bungalow to buy for a year one came up for sale with Jan Forster we booked a viewing and Courtney Black from the Heaton branch was there to show us round , friendly professional and knowledgeable she answered our questions and if not she emailed the answers later that day .
We put an offer in the next day it was excepted , all the way through the purchase Courtney kept in touch , nothing was to much trouble.
When decide to sell our house the Jan Forster sold with in a week , we asked for Courtney to over see our house sale and again she was great .as was the team.
We have just moved in to our new home .

Jan Forster's sale/sold sign fallen off and laying in my pathway becomming hazzardous. I emailed them twice and still not bother to come and collect. Tynemouth office to this location is 5 minutes by drive.

I sold my property took longer than expected but that was due to first buyer dropping out.
Karen and team kept me informed on the whole I was happy with the whole process. However selling property is a very stressful. Thank you team

Abysmal estate agent I actually removed them due to the incompetence of the long Benton branch I took them to the ombudsman who are actually paid by estate agents so is a waste of time , anyway I paid twice , as soon as I moved estate agents my home sold in 5 days , everyone has there own opinions but the consistent bad reviews show them for who they are lessons learnt

Dreadful estate agents who sent buyers who couldn’t afford the house , sent unvetted buyers I had a sold sign up and down 3 times in a week , unfortunately my own experience with this company was abysmal from start till I gave up with them (4 weeks after in) of appalling service (which I was charged for £1800) and went with another company in Northtyneside next2buy who sold it in 3 days please save yourself the bother and check out all the other reviews on all review sites they are terrible ,

If I could give less than 1star I would! Shocking customer service and just a very very bad agent!!! Avoid at all cost if you want your house marketed and sold correctly and professionally!!

Everything you will read about this company is true what they actually want is to tie you into a 12 week contract to sell, do a few photos, post on Rightmove then sit back and wait out the 12 weeks or if you get sick enough claim £300 cancellation fee for doing no work! Each time I tried to ring the call went to voicemail so how can potential buyers ever get to view houses through them!

Stay away from this company , these agency is clearly money collectors and they are happy to do everything to take money from you, they will lie , fake the facts and do anything where they know the law and they know how to sneak through it and just waste your time .

Itis very clear from the previous reviews that this company has >94% bad reviews and obviously they don't care.

I rent house through them two years and they have very bad maintenance service, they left me and my little kids with no heating / water supply and hot water for more than three days several times and they don't care.They tend to do 6 monthly viewing and every time they gave us excellent feedback. When we decided to leave the house they start to think how to take our deposit and they did all efforts to take it , when they couldn’t find anything to claim they said you left property not clean with cobwebs in the ceiling . They will bring their own people to do the job and take this money for themselves.
If you tried to say no they will ask you to go to court as they clearly know people don't want to waste time.
Please if you don't want to loose your money stay away from them especially their Senior Inventory & Inspection Clerk team they are group of people who are not professional at all . Life will never forgive you forcehat you have done to me and my family and you will remember one day that what you have done was really bad.

I am planning to complain them and collecting evidence at the moment and I will update this review

I saw the rightmove advertisement and interested in one Terrace at NE17, I have left message and expressed interest since 24/3/2024, they never get back to me.

I tried to call the office today, this afternoon at around 1:00pm, the gentleman who picked up the call with inpatient attitude to answer my queries,then I asked him on how can I submit the offer, he then hang up suddenly. Then, I rang again, and asked him same query, he then hang up the line again, with relatively poor and impatient attitude. Then, I rang him again, he then never pick up my call again, i can't image how the service can be such awful and his attitude was quite rude.
In fact, I believe the comments here were all true, and the vendor was very unlucky to use them as they already ruined all the potential opportunities and clients.
All their clients and potential clients were unlucky to meet them as well !

Ps: I am not sure who picked up my call, the date and time for my calls was on 3/4/2024, time was around 1:05-1:20pm, the number which I called was 0191 743 0175.

Awful experience was looking to buy from them. Ended up sending all my personal details about the transaction to my ex then didn’t bother to tell me that the seller had put the property back on the market after my buyer pulled out even after saying they would potentially wait for me to find another buyer. Wouldn’t buy or sell from them.

This firm is utterly appalling, avoid them like the plague! I rented my property through them, I did not get the service I paid for in the terms & conditions of the contact. They made numerous administrative errors, that came at any addition cost to me through their negligence. They cannot be trusted, they are lazy, unprofessional & incompetent.

I tried to show up at their offices to arrange a viewing, but they closed the office because there were protestors. I learned from the protestors that Jan Forster has kept one of their existing tenants in disrepaired housing with mould, ivy and dangerous electrics, and served a section 21 on them after they filed a complaint with environmental health. I'm glad I bumped into them, or who knows what my renting situation would have ended up being! Do not rent from this organisation!

Have you ever felt like your house doesn’t have enough greenery or water features? If so, I wholeheartedly recommend renting with Jan Forster Estate Agents. JF understand that city life often means you don’t get to spend enough time in nature, so they let nature come to you! JF allow their tenants to live for months on end with mould; ivy growing through cracks in the structure; leaks; and damp. They ignore their tenants requests for these things to be removed, to the extent that four rooms in one family’s house were totally unusable. JF are so dedicated to the idea that we should all be communing with nature and the outdoors that they even served this same family an eviction notice for 10th December, sending them out onto the streets for Christmas.
