Kayo app's behaviour when pausing live…
Kayo app behaviour when pausing live sport is completely unacceptable.
Instead of freezing the current frame like every other competent streaming platform, their app cuts to a black screen. This makes it impossible to see the game, players, or any on-field context while paused — which defeats the entire purpose of pausing live sport.
This is not a minor inconvenience. It is a fundamental failure in basic functionality.
How has this made it through development and into a paid product? Do their teams actually use the app the way customers do? Sports fans pause to analyse plays, check players, or simply step away briefly without losing visual context. Your current design ignores all of that.
To make matters worse, this comes while prices continue to increase, yet the app quality remains substandard compared to every other major streaming service.
Fix this. At a minimum:
- Pausing should retain the live frame on screen
- The black screen behaviour should be removed entirely
- Provide a timeline for when this will be corrected
Right now, the product does not meet basic expectations for a premium service.
Terrible Service Provider
Terrible Service Provider, app use to allow you to watch sports anywhere In Australia now it asks for your location and if your not in a major city you can't watch anything. Now you cant even watch on the website it keeps taking you to the app to open it which in turn means no viewing at all. What an expensive product that I can't even use. should be refunded for the amount of viewing I don't get to have.
time to look for another service provider.

Badly overpriced & now punishing subscribers
This was a badly overpriced streaming TV channel which did a reasonable job, but during the last few days this site has become a terrible phantom which has become a Z grade garbage dump which has made it an absolute joke for users. Changing sports is now 10 times more inconvenient. Kayo have decided to make clients suffer unlike the site a couple of days ago. People pay an exorbitant$25-40 per month for this service and now kayo is punishing subscribers by turning the experience into a very unpleasant one. Did the executives tell their staff to make kayo the most expensive and unpleasant streaming experience in Australia? Please fix this chaotic mess because I'm sure I won't be the only person dumping my account until you treat users like human beings again.

Absolutely dismal service and quality. They double charge and tell you too bad. The streaming quality is disgustingly poor. Definitely use another service if you can, i would never recommend.
Kayo sucks
Kayo sucks, Don't bother waisting your time sitting watching there pretty green circle going round and round, they'll tell you everything else is the problem but there shit platform every other streaming site works great then you click on Kayo and sit waiting for an error to appear.
The company is corrupt to the core
The company is corrupt to the core. The service constantly doesn't work and when it does it would either discount you or prompt you to login again or even change the program to another program whilst you are watching, a complete joke.
I cancelled my subscription twice, first time they begged to come back and offerred another month for $1 dollar so I decided to give them another go, but still the same problems and cancelled it again.
But they decided they didn't get enough money out of me and changed me for another full month after the cancellation.
They have no competition and government do nothing even after complaint after complaint.

Just spent half an hour trying to sign in to Kayo with out success. Very hard to cancel your subscription. Picture stalls while watching sport, very frustrating!

Kayo Takes Zero Responsibility
So - like many - I am having a poor (less than poor) experience with Kayo Sports.
The person who was thrown in to provide assistance I believe actually wanted to help - but they are hamstrung by working the most expensive streaming service with the worst review rating and ability to sort problems out
Kayo seems to not care. They ignore criticism because people still pay. People still pay because Kayo has a niche service and so feel that they are not accountable for the poor product they provide
It has become a vicious circle in that Kayo feels they do not need to care because not enough people walk away
The consumer wants this service and probably would pay - if Kayo provided a quality service. Unfortunately right now they don't care because they feel they don't need to care

The worst streaming apps in the world by far. Kayo and binge both continuously fail lock up and go into forever buffering while all other services on the same device with the same connection just work. No support and no response to complaints.
Kayo sports/stream motion is bad.
Kayo sports/stream motion is a very buggy platform especially trying to chromecast from iphone.
Would not recommend.
Kayo Black Screen Of Death after login ..
Used Kayo on friday, no problems.
But, on saturday after entering password into login page, Kayo webpage refuses to load ... Have tried everything ,but just keep getting the Kayo black screen of death ..
Days later..

Kayo, this is the final straw! I’m OUT!!
I have been frustrated for a long time watching my sports of choice on Kayo, i.e. Australia Football (AFL), F1. MotoGP and World SBK, especially on the phone app. This is where I prefer to watch/listen, because I can do it anywhere ,doing almost anything else at the same time. However, even though Kayo have a monopoly on these sports in Australia, particularly the motor racing, this last update to their app is a deal breaker for me. I’d rather not watch these sports at all than continue with Kayo! Here are my list of grievances and annoyances which “sh-t me to tears”, in Aussie vernacular:
1. The new app format is utterly confusing. Where is the dedicated “Sports” tab? Now I have to look around everywhere on the app to find my sports.
2. The app no longer allows you to vary the speed of the replay! Where has that tab at the bottom left of the screen gone?
3. In F1 you can never, ever resume where you last left off, if you go out of the app. It always goes back to the start and re-starts the app, so good luck remembering where you left off!
4. Even though I have registered my favourite sports, they are NEVER highlighted nor do they come up first when I open the app and go to Home. It’s always some random sport that I have no interest in that leads the Home page! What is the point of having our favourite types of sports on there if they make absolutely no difference to what is presented or highlighted to us?
5. A replay I am watching can randomly just stop playing and flip into, again, some random sport that I have no interest in, so I have to start the app from the start. Again, good luck finding where you left off!
6. Same as above happens if you accidentally touch your phone screen and it goes out of that sport. Again, you can’t just go back in to the app and find where you were up to. Back to the start again!
7. When you try to access another app on your phone and still have the program playing on the small screen, it always reverts back to normal speed when I want it to stay in my preferred speed, usually 2x. The website/computer version of the app does not do this and neither does YouTube, so why can’t it be done on the Kayo app? Maybe because the app is just crap?
8. When a reply finishes and there is still time left on program timeline, it continues to play but often it switches to some other random sport, rather than be related to the sport being watched, like F1
I think I’ve got most things off much chest and return quite enough. As per the heading, goodbye Kayo🖕, I’M OUT!

Kayo proved impossible to access. Really difficult to use. It's given me a serious stress headache & no other streaming service has ever given me this much trouble. Hours wasted on a chat and still couldn't watch the AFL game my husband wanted to see. Totally disappointing
Worst ever
I signed up for a promotional offer of 1$ for a month. However, I did not receive any courtesy notification—either via email or SMS—informing me that the promotion was coming to an end or that I would be charged $40 following that period.
I only became aware of the charge after noticing a deduction in my bank account. Even after the payment was processed, I did not receive any confirmation or invoice from Kayo, which is extremely disappointing. It felt more like an unauthorised charge than a legitimate transaction.
Most subscription-based services send clear reminders prior to charging customers after a trial or promotional period ends. Failing to do so is not only poor customer experience but also goes against fair consumer practices. Which makes it evident that the strategy of Kayo is to take the $40 from the customers who forgets to cancel it, which is pathetic.
