I felt that the contact from kip after the initial booking was lacking. I had not heard of kip hideaways I was worried about the company being legitimate. After the initial payment and confirmation email, there was nothing unless I contacted the owners. The booking experience certainly made me very nervous about buyers remorse crept in.

When we arrived at the property we were blown away. It was exactly as the pictures showed. Alicia was great easy to contact if you have any questions, with prompt replies.

The property location was great with so much to see and do all within easy reach. We would definitely stay again.

Papillon is a beautiful boat moored in Little Venice. It's beautifully designed and very comfy. It was lovely to find some fresh bread, eggs and butter as well as basic supplies. Check in was super easy as the owner met me and gave me a tour. I loved the area full of great cafes and restaurants as well as being near to Clifton nurseries and the puppet barge. I walked all the way along Regent's canal to the book barge and soaked up all the sights and sounds of canal life. I would thoroughly recommend a stay on Papillon.

The birdhouse was the perfect getaway for two city dwellers to escape from the hustle bustle & relax.

The Birdhouse is such a gorgeous place to stay. We immediately felt a calmness upon arrival being surrounded by the forest & it was lovely waking up to the birds singing in the morning.

The amenities were great, we made good use of the hot tub, fire pit and sauna. The suggestions by the owners of where to go were all top notch, especially the Lord Poulett pub, it was a gorgeous addition to the trip.

I would highly recommend Hinton Hideaways for your next trip.

West Cottage was an amazing base to explore this bleak but beautiful Kent coastline. It was snug and warm, despite the chilly wind during the day, and the cold, clear evenings. The decor was tasteful and comfortable (although the sofa took some getting used to!).

One star taken off for the sofa, and for not providing a welcome hamper (but given the remoteness of the location, I get why this wasn't provided).

Absolutely stunning stay in The Smithy!

I saw the location pop-up on the Kip Hideaways instagram and I found myself perusing for Easter Weekend and was pleasantly surprised at how reasonably priced it was for such a busy weekend. I immediately booked it and my partner were counting down the days to our little country escape.

The stay did not disappoint. The hosts emailed us all the detail we needed before we arrived and made it super easy to find. The venue itself was gorgeous, so well put together and cosy. We had everything we could possibly need as well as a fully functioning kitchen with all the utensils and tools as well as soap etc. to clean up (which isn't always the case) meaning we could enjoy our cosy stay in and cook for ourselves which was lovely. The wood burner heated the entire tiny house and kept us toasty and warm but there were also excellent radiators on the mezzanine and bottom floor if we needed the extra heat.

The star of the show really was the roll-top, copper bathtub in the adjacent outhouse. Built outside the house with stone floors and wood walls/cieling to give it an even better bath experience when you're sat soaking in the hot water but the air outside is cool. Absolutely unreal. We also thought we might possible run through the hot water the heater provided but were super surprised that it stayed warm for ages and got really hot so you could get the perfect bath temp. The bath itself does hold in the heat so it was a truly wonderful experience.

Situated between Oswestry and Whittington, you could easily walk to the pub in Whittington or take a 10 minute drive to Oswestry to do your food shopping or eat out and have a drink. It's also 30 minutes from Shrewsbury which was a delightful town with a lot to offer.

The venue itself was nestled amongst a few other homes on an estate but it was insanely quiet and peaceful at all points throughout the day which was really lovely.

We had two chickens as visitors each morning which was also fun!

Would highly, highly recommend this unique little gem in the Welsh/Shropshire countryside!

We had the best 2 night stay in The Smithy. Tom was very helpful with recommendations prior to our visit. The accommodation was absolutely perfect and very well kitted out. We loved the attention to detail- everything from the Aesop soap to the gorgeous plates and mugs that matched the decor. The bed was so comfortable and cosy and the bath was a dream. The gorgeous fluffy chickens outside were an extra bonus too!

We have already recommended to our friends and we will definitely stay again! Xx

The Gardener's Cottage at Alstonfield is excellent. Gorgeous setting, very cute house, friendly owners. We had a great stay.

Escaped to a cabin in the forest to get away from the world and everyone in it: Chatan, Cove Valley part of a very inspirational rewilding project on the edge of Exmoor provided. Cabin reminiscent of ”little house on the prairie” for those that remember but with 20th century luxuries. Beautiful, thoughtful well put together interior with plenty of inspirational detail and reading material. Incredible woodland surroundings and wildlife galore. Star gazing perfection once the sun’s gone down. This was the perfect reset. Hosts are attentive and their attention to detail to get you to your secret hideaway excellent. Should you wish to be utterly care free they provide plenty of optional extras: BBQ feasts to Pizza dough and all the trimmings to make your own pizza in a Gozney Oven delivered to your door. Am I feeling restored you bet I am!!

We had a wonderful three-night stay at The Gardener’s Cottage. The cottage was perfect – cosy, beautifully kept, and set in the peaceful grounds of the manor. Mornings were spent exploring the local walking trails, which offered stunning views and a real sense of escape. Afternoons were just as enjoyable, relaxing in the garden and soaking in the quiet countryside atmosphere. Needless to say, we were lucky with the weather in April! Jo and Rob were fantastic hosts, giving us the warmest welcome and always happy to offer recommendations when needed. One thing to note: the village pub doesn’t always serve food during the week out of season, so it’s worth planning ahead. Overall, a truly lovely retreat in the Peak District – we’d love to come back!

I recently enjoyed a stay in the Altair Shacks in North Wales with my family and we had the best time. The rural surroundings were not only incredibly beautiful but it also meant that our two children could run around and make as much noise as they wanted without needing to be conscious of neighbours. We enjoyed toasting marshmallows around the fire pit, watching the sunrise from the windows surrounding the bed and exploring the local area. It was well equipped, with everything you could need for a short say, extremely comfortable beds and a lovely bottle of welcome wine!

We visited Praktyka with our two children and stayed in the barn. Such a beautiful spot, great hosts and we loved everything about the barn's interior, it was also really well thought out with lots of toys and books to keep the kids busy.

We absolutely loved our stay at Shuttaford. We were in the Big Barn and it was so lovely! Super cosy, but bright and had everything you needed. Beautifully decorated, great facilities (including roll top bath which was fab after long walks!) and wonderful location. Near to Ashburton which is a great little town. Good food. A fantastic stay at Smugglers Lane. A beautifully presented cottage with everything you need for you and the welcome pack for the dog was very helpful. It is so peaceful and quiet- we slept so well!
The Pilates reformer session with Christen was excellent and followed by the wood fired sauna: bliss.
The cottage is in such a great location to discover South Cornwall.
Such a relaxing easy stay- we thoroughly recommend it.

The Little House was perfection. Beautifully designed and appointed. Perfect forest location. We didn’t touch the car for our entire stay. A lovely walk into Petworth through the woods and deer park.
We especially appreciated the enclosed garden for our escape artist and hunt obsessive Border Terrier

Kip Hideaways were a great help and we had an incredible time at the house we rented through them. Would highly recommend!

Easy to use website and great communication.
Accommodation was everything and more than we expected. Beautiful place with many areas for relaxing and afternoon teas,etc.
Beds were amazingly comfortable with fluffy duvets, towels were generous and great quality.
Can’t recommend Jemma’s place enough.

Beautiful surroundings with a small loch at the end of your porch. Surrounded by bird song and trees. Very accommodating owners and fully equipped. Only problem - not enough time to do the 1000 piece jigsaw provided!

We had a wonderful stay at The Outbuilding in Appledore. Beautifully renovated, stylish and so comfortable: a really fantastic place to stay and well situated in the village. Amy the host, was lovely. Exceeded our expectations on all counts!

Booked a wonderful last minute getaway through Kip Hideaways in Scotland and it was a seamless process, luxurious and cosy getaway. I really love that they have curated a selection of homes which all match what I'm wanting - high quality, thoughtfully designed, out in nature, true escapes - and I don't have to spend hours trawling through hopeless options!
