Fantastic Service - thank you Lukass and Steve

Both Lukass and Steve were very helpful throughout our search for our forever home. The communication was excellent along with their knowledge and expertise. Nothing we asked of them was ever too much, including the several visits to one property!! - Many thanks Lukass and Steve we can't wait to move in to our new home.

So nice when trying to charm in you…

So nice when trying to charm in you into signing with them but once you’re contracted things change. Rude and aggressive and quite frankly downright incompetent, let surveyor into the property unattended and he broke the loft hatch and left it on the floor, they let another contractor enter, again unattended who left the front door unlocked. No point in giving instruction or details as they do not listen to a word you say, couldn’t even remember how the property looked during a viewing which resulted in us having to remove stuff from the garden after completion or face being sued, the aforementioned items were there all along. I dealt with Oliver and Sienna and I hope to never have to speak or deal with them again. A stressful experience made worse by agents that are just focused on money and could not care less for their clients.

can't get any simple details right

They just can't get any simple details right. Everything that they could get wrong they do. Really vital details relating to property. It's one problem after another. One hand doesn't talk to the other. They'll offer you deals on fees and then not live up to them. Say they'll sort it out and don't. You just end up chasing and chasing for them to correct their errors.

Read your contract carefully

Read your contract carefully. The contract terms state the seller is locked in with them for 6 months. Other agencies are usually under 2 months. Even when your contract expires, you have to give 28 days notice.
My contract expired after 6 months with only one unacceptable offer in that time period.
They priced my flat to high to begin with and could have made the flat look better in the photos (for example, adjusted the lumpy blanket in the bed).
I think a seller can do better than this company.
I now begin the 28 day wait to be allowed to change agencies. As if giving them half a year wasn't enough.

Customer service

Bad experince

Terrible experience with Langford Russell Orpington last year (2024) when trying to buy a property, for multiple reasons. 1. Never had our best interest at heart which we would continue to find out after every interaction 2. Would lie in order to get their way 3. Hid many issues that the property had from us, when they were aware 4. Pressured us into rushing the completion of the property which would have massively inconvenienced us, never taking into account our situation 5. Many times when in contact with the agent they came across as rude/threatening and tried to take advantage of our situation

To conclude left a very sour taste when the move finally happened and turned what should have been a lovely experience into a painful one.

Unprofessional and Mismanaged Property Handover Experience

I had a highly disappointing experience with Langford Russell Swanley Kent during my property handover. After collecting my keys and visiting the property, I was shocked to find that it was still occupied by the seller’s family. The house was left in a messy and unacceptable condition, with waste items scattered both inside and outside.

How can it be possible for the sellers to still be at the property after the keys were officially handed over? This raises serious concerns about the agency’s management and security protocols.

This mismanagement caused me significant stress, disrupted my moving plans, and resulted in financial losses, including a wasted workday, cancelled bookings, and builder charges. The lack of professionalism and coordination throughout the process was extremely frustrating and far below expectations. I cannot recommend their services.

Throughout our recent dealings with LR Chislehurst office we received a high level of professionalism, helpfulness, pragmatic and responsive service from Jackie , Georgia and Jamie. In short excellent service from start to finish in selling our apartment in Chislehurst.

For Langford Russell Estate Agents in Sidcup
My experience with Langford Russell Sidcup was extremely disappointing, especially with Tayler Watson and Nathan Robinson. Communication was unprofessional, with personal information shared without my consent, and the entire process lacked transparency. Over the phone, Tayler even admitted she made the deal unsuccessful and showed a dismissive “do whatever you want” attitude, displaying no regard for the impact on us as clients. This team's conduct was both unprofessional and disheartening. I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone seeking reliable and respectful service.

Unenthusiastic and incompetent

Having had an offer accepted on an onward purchase through Langford Russell we naively thought that they would be the best agents to deal with the sale of our house. They convincingly made the argument that by having both clients on the same chain they would be best suited to negotiating sale price, fees and speeding things through to completion. It's not unreasonable to believe that would be the case, but regrettably it wasn't.

After 16 weeks on the market and over 20 viewings the only offer we had was well below market value, baring in mind when we first put the house on the market we went with a conservative price estimate and didn't go with the highest. After 2 months on the market we were advised to bring the asking price down to encourage more interest in the property but that had the opposite effect, we had less viewings after the price drop. When we had our first serious offer it was below the revised asking price by a fair bit.

It's not that overall there wasn't enough interest in the house because we were doing viewings regularly every other week but there was an issue with their enthusiasm in selling the house and in transparent dialogue with the customers. Rather than gauging the actual needs of the customer, what they are specifically looking for and opt for getting the most amount of feet through the door, quantity over quality. Unfortunately this just means more viewings and less serious buyers. A waste of everyones time.

They were nice people to deal with, friendly, courteous and so it is a shame it didn't work out. Maybe if you don't mind opening your house up every weekend to anyone and everyone for over 4 months then you'll be fine, but I'd prefer a bit more purpose and strategy from an estate agents.

Incompetent & error-prone

Repeatedly sent emails to the wrong email address despite more than once asking them to update contact details.

Rebooked viewing times the day before we were due to visit, then didn’t inform the seller of the time change and didn’t show up at the new time.

The only time they were timely was when they wanted to get contracts exchanged before the end of the month and then frankly harassed us and our agents. When we were ready, they then failed to get their side signed and we had to wait another day.

The only redeeming feature is that we managed to complete by the date set out

Sinan was great!

Sinan was great! Very responsive and helpful throughout the whole process. If he didn’t know the answer to any of our questions he was very quick to find out and come straight back to us. He also always called us which we thought added a much more personal touch/service. Would have no hesitation in recommending to friends/family.

Buying a Property in Sidcup
I bought a bungalow through Langford Russell, it was a very good experience. All the staff were very helpful, especially Connor who did my viewing appointments. He was always punctual, very knowledgeable and polite. I highly recommend this Estate Agent, they are a cut above the rest.

Big Thank you

I have just rented my flat through Langford Russell at Bromley South and they have been excellent. I cannot praise Jack Frendo enough he was superb. My flat went online on the Friday and he had 8 viewings for the Saturday and 3 offers by Tuesday morning plus he is so fast at replying to emails and nothing was too much trouble, it was all completed very quickly.

Great Letting Service

We deal with Langford Russell in West Wickham and always very satisfied with their efforts in letting our property. Maxine Apps, in particular, was very thorough and diligent.
Would recommend to other Landlords.

Maxine Apps is a credit to your company…

Maxine Apps is a credit to your company and the only reason I have rated 5 stars.
In terms of improvement I would suggest that head office improve their communication process and the timeliness of these. I had to constantly chase the application and tenancy agreement.

Letting a Property

We have recently let our property with Langford Russell and had a great experience! Our estate agent, Maxine, communicated quickly and efficiently and made the process effortless for us. She made sure we were informed every step of the way and gave us honest and subjective advice. We are really glad we chose Langford Russell and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend their services.

Excellent Customer Service

My Mum recently completed the sale of her property in Bromley and we were very impressed with the professional approach that Langford Russell took despite the sale being quite protracted at times. Jackie Ray deserves a special mention as she was particularly supportive throughout the process and she ensured that we were regularly updated on progress.
