Height adjustment has made a huge difference.

Laybrook was one of three companies that we contacted but was the only one that could provide what we needed. Communication was excellent and we had a long and detailed conversation over the phone to discuss our needs and what could be done.
The order to delivery time was significantly longer than the estimate that we were given although this was largely due to the company closing for two weeks for the Easter break.
The delivery team were excellent and explained the workings of the mechanism in detail.
We have only had the bed for six days but so far are very pleased with it. My wife has significant mobility issues and the adjustable height makes it much easier for her to get in and out of. The mattress is also very comfortable and an improvement on what we had before.

Brilliant company!

Great bed and a great company to deal with.
The delivery engineers were very helpful and professional they even helped to move the old bed out of the house.
I have no hesitation recommending Laybrook.

Great customer service

Great customer service, from the initial conversation and order to delivery and install. Bed looks and feels fabulous. Delivery guys were awesome.
We took a long time to decide on which bed would be best for Mum and we are so pleased we went with Laybrook, can’t recommend them highly enough.

A very UNCOMPASSIONATE company.

The initial over the phone ordering process with DAN was excellent. On the 31st March 2026 I ordered a 3 ft adjustable with 2 drawers. I was advised that there would be a delay as the whole factory was about to shut down for a week due to the Easter holidays. Apparently this is deemed to be a special order and cancellation has to be within 48 hours according to their terms and conditions even though you have 14 days to cancel an order that isn't special order. One doesn't order this type of expensive bed unless there is a serious need for it. At the time of order there was, as my wife was due to leave hospital nursing a fractured hip as well as being frail and elderly at 77 years. Within 4 days of ordering, i was informed by the hospital that my wife would not be coming home due to her mental capicity having become more severe and therefore i no longer needed to order this bed. I contacted the company straight away only to be told that the bed was a special order because of the two drawers and that i would therefore forefit my just over £300 deposit. As basic rate UK pensioners with no savings we are unable to just lose this sort of money but Laybrook have shown no compassion whatsoever just quoting terms and conditions and have not even responded to my recent email pointing out that UK law states that companies should show compassion in certain circumstances when retaining money. I would very much suggest that anyone ordering a bed from this company that is deemed to be special order - this being anything other than a very basic bed - should really think long and hard as to wether Laybrook is the company to order from.

Hi Tony, we are sorry you have felt the need to leave this review, and we appreciate your frustration in the unfortunate circumstances, but as is the case with any business we must have terms and conditions to protect us. We are always very clear at point of sale about special orders and as a result we leave a grace period for orders to be cancelled, but beyond that period we will have invested time and money in starting to produce your order, and those costs must be covered, which is not unreasonable. As I'm sure you can understand, the nature of our products means that a large percentage of our demographic will be pensioners, and therefore we cannot apply the rules on a case-by-case basis, no matter what the situation and how harsh that may seem.

Excellent website with products aptly described and priced. Easy to order on line although I ordered by "phone and found staff friendly and helpful. Their adaptations available so that the end product is almost exactly what is required. Good communication after order placed and delivery very prompt. Installation was straightforward and use explained.

Excellent Product & Excellent Customer Service

Everything made easy from ordering to the excellent communcation and brilliant delivery which was on time and the engineers both professional and pleasant. The installation went very smoothly and they cleaned up after themselves. I must say that I found Customer Services (Maria) both helpful and proactive when I had to change the delivery date unexpectantly.

first class service from start to finish - Donna in sales was very helpful with advise and going the extra mile - Raz who fitted the new electric beds was on time - efficient - polite and very friendly - highly recommended

Thornbury divan

Lovely bed individually made for us, delivered on time and installed by a cheerful experienced technician who explained the working in plain language that was easy to understand. Would recommend this company wholeheartedly.

Very friendly and knowledgeable…

Very friendly and knowledgeable customer service on all phone interactions, explained in detail all steps from payments to delivery, and time frames. Product excellent value for money and exactly what I needed for my son. Very very happy 😊.

A Brilliant Bed Company & Great Customer Service

Laybrook is a great company to deal with.
Brilliant standard of customer service - from ordering over the phone (Donna is brilliant!) through updating on the progress of making the bed, and to delivery and assembly. The delivery staff were especially admirable - arriving before 8am after a considerable journey, and being friendly and informative throughout. Everything went to plan and the 'human touch' at the end of the phone inspired confidence that was not misplaced.
And as for the bed - I could not be happier. It is beyond comfortable and of very high quality. Having spent several years in an NHS profiling bed I am noticing a considerable improvement in my overall health and pain levels due largely (I think) to much better quality sleep. The 14 day trial period available on the new mattress isn't something I've had to claim, as I'm very happy with my choice, but it was real peace of mind and made me more comfortable with making such a significant purchase online, without being able to experience the bed beforehand.
I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a new bed - particularly if you have medical needs or disability, but even if you don't, and you're just looking for a good night's sleep!

Turning bed is a life saver

Bought the lift and turn bed for my mum who could no longer manage in a standard bed and it has been a game changer. She can now go to be confidently and get a good night's sleep without waking up in pain. Laybrooks were really helpful throughout the sales and delivery process.

Amazing job

We already had a double bed from Laybrook but due to medical issues needed singles. They were so helpful and did a conversion of our original bed to two singles. The engineer was amazing. Even vacuumed for us as bed was moved.
Came when they said. Would highly recommend. Have had original bed for over 20 years!

Easy to order over the phone.We chose…

Easy to order over the phone.We chose the lyndhurst dual 2ft 6 beds which clip together.The bed was brought slong and assembled within half an hour .Unfortunatly the clips were not with the bed but an engineer came back at a later date to fit them and also brought us some mattress retainers to stop the mattress sliding sideways.Overall a great experience with laybrooks.I would definately recommend.

I found it easy to place my order for…

I found it easy to place my order for my mum.
I was updated on the production of the bed.
Took around 5 weeks from ordering to delivery.
The person that delivered and built my mum's bed went above and beyond.
He arrived on time. Phoned me to tell me when he would arrive.
The bed base was the wrong size for the mechanical part of the bed.
The engineer was willing to return to Oxfordshire from Yorkshire and return to build the bed.
Thankfully the company found the correct size base in Dewsbury.
The engineer picked up, returned built the bed all within 1 hour 40 mins.
He was polite, efficient and quick.
The engineer saved the day from the mistake of Laybrook.
If there are any issues with the bed in the future I will be returning to Laybrook.
However, last night was the best night mum had slept for a long time. Thank you.

Going to a motorised bed is a game changer, to get a good nights sleep and to be able to get out of bed alot easier.
Delivered promptly and assembled, and shown how to use. Ordered bottom sheets and extra protection cover at same time. Thankyou.

Have wasted £2500 on an unsuitable bed…

Have wasted £2500 on an unsuitable bed that is little use to my elderly disabled mum. Money that I can not afford to waste. Problem started as the sales people, who are very friendly, but fail to ask any questions about any obstruction in the way of delivering your new bed, such as a stairlift. We received a call two weeks after ordering saying their engineer doesn't think they will get the bed past our stairlift. The obvious thing would surely be to arrange a visit when ordering the bed. At this point rather than cancelling and going elsewhere I stupidly agreed to a compromise of ordering a smaller bed. This is when the problems really started. This bad compromise immediately became a problem and another compromise was agreed to try and resolve things. Further mistake and another bed later this one was not suitable, not least because it was absolutely massive and was for a tiny bedroom. By this time the initially helpful person was clearly coming under pressure to tell us to go away as they had done, in their words, exhausted every possibility (but not including checking that the bed would fit in the house) the bed that we ended up accepting is the same size as the one we originally ordered, and apart from many scratches to the paintwork did with much effort fit past our stairlift. We are now stuck with a bed that is dangerous for my mum as she is back to using a plastic step stool as the bed doesn't go low enough for her. One of the main reasons for choosing this type of bed. If you must choose laybrook for your bed be very careful in doing your homework and don't assume they will ask the right questions about what type of mattress you need or whether it will fit in your house. Ironically we chose this company because of their exchange guarantee, a huge mistake.
