Company will ignore their own guarantee!

One order placed and out of the six Cichlids only three survived. There were two bags, one contained three electric yellow cichlids that had enough water in it to support 1 cichlid and the other bag had 3 blue peacock cichlids which had enough water but they were all males so one had his tail fin chewed off on arrival. Bag #1 electric yellow cichlids with two DOA fish. Water was horrible smelling and there wasnt enough to support three fish for a 24hr period. I filed a claim after i did their acclimation steps. They did get back to me with credit for the two E yellow cichlids. Bag #2 there was plenty of water in this bag for three nonterritorial fish but not when you have territorial fish like cichlids so one of the fish arrived missing most of his tail fin. I still acclimated them all and was not surprised to find the one damaged fish dead within 24 hrs. I filed a claimed right away and have heard nothing. I filed a second claim and have heard nothing! This company had standards back when it was Drs foster and smith. Now it seems to be run by people who dont seem to care. Never again will I order from them. Also they ask who packaged the order. Maybe this is something they should know and why should we tell them this information. They obviously dont care enough to do anything about it based on how they ignore their own claims! Bad experience

Three out of six fish were dead on arrival. There was not enough water in the bag, not enough air in the bag and the water was dirty. It smelled bad when I opened the bag. A couple days later another died. The two remaining has ich.

Don't buy your fish food from here!!!!!

Just to let everybody know DON'T PURCHASE FROZEN FOOD FROM THIS COMPANY!!!!! I purchased $278.42 of frozen food (16 oz flat pack Krill (9)& Plankton (9) on July17 (last week) and the mourns placed it in a cardboard box with out any dry ice to keep it frozen. Well I live in Florida and by the time the shipment got to me it was melted and they refuse to make my order good!!!!!!!!

Horrible Fish Saler

I order a Unicorn tang for 200 on 5/28 and they said it would arrive 5/30. Its 5/30 and my fish has not arrived. I called them and they said a bunch of excuses. They said it would arrive 6/4. It's 6/4 and no fish. I called and they said the same excuse. I still don't have my fish. Never shopping here.

They refuse to delete my data from their website!

I have sent several emails & spoken with their CS on the phone. I currently have no aquarium, so I have tried, unsuccessfully, to remove my information from their data base. There is no way to remove it from their website. I called and walked through this with CS. She told me I had to delete it, so I explained, as I tried, yet again, unsucccessfully, to remove my data, that the site will not allow me to do so. I was assured they would get back to me with a resolution. It has been over 30 days. No matter how many emails I send, they tell me it is up to me to delete the info. There are too many hackers out there & I hate having my data sitting on a website I NO LONGER USE!!!

Done with this site

Done with this site. Order fish then when they get around to shipping them unless you order from their diver dens chances are you won't get fish. They oversell their inventory and leave you expecting fish, but nothing arrives. Their emails abut shipments never arrive, so you have to contact their help on website. Closing my account and looking elsewhere

First and last time with LiveAquaria

I don’t know where to begin!! This was my first and last experience with LiveAquaria. I placed my order online April 12. Was sooo excited to get my Green Spotted Puffer fish and Bettas. I had even took time to turn my fresh water tank into a brackish tank (first time). Was more work than I realized. But I was ready for their delivery. I tried to work with them with shipping and delivery. But every week for 4 weeks they gave excuses of why they weren’t able to ship. Was always the same excuse. I message them several times, which they did reply back. Giving me the hope of receiving my fish soon. Well, I was told Friday they were sent to shipping and would be shipped Monday, May 6. I would receive an email Monday evening, which I did receive. It stated my order was CANCELED due to “out of stock” items. We’re not sure when they would have the Green Spotted Puffers would be in stock!! Seriously?!? And they waited until the day my order was to be shipped out!!! I am so disgusted and upset. What horrible customer service! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!

Missing and Dead Fish, Horrible Company

Fish are guaranteed alive and their website states their shipping is top quality. Only half my fish arrived, in a cardboard box, a few newspapers, 1 hand warmer with a flimsy white paper plate. The water was yellow and fish dead or dying. Did not make it through the night. I placed a claim like I was told for the dead fish, and they issued a refund for the missing fish. Store credit can only be used at check out in the comment section and they state you will be charged full until the run the credit. After a few days (I ordered non living items) I sis not notice my credit issued. I contacted the company and they stated I did not have a credit. And since the items had already shipped, they could not stop the order. Convenient for them I know.

Dead Aquaria

I ordered a total of 42 fish for a total of $183. Of the 42 ordered fish, 4 were never shipped, 4 were dead on arrival and and 24 more died within 7 days of receiving the order. The condition of the fish upon arrival was as follows. 4 were covered in white fungus, 2 had visible parasites and many of the others had frayed fins and were generally unhealthy.

As of the writing of the review, only 10 remain alive.

After calling Live Aquaria, and emailing them, sending pictures and following their 7 day arrive alive guarantee, I am left holding the bag at a temendous loss of money. All they do is credit your account with the cost per fish excluding the cost of shipping, and their 7 days is actually only 6 days as they count off one of the days on day zero.

I do NOT recommend doing business with this company.

DON'T BUY FROM HERE

DON'T BUY FROM HERE - AND IF YOU DO, DON'T SAY I DIDNT WARN YOU!!!! I spent $75 dollars on 24 of some of the smallest cherry barbs I ever seen. Four of them were dead and the bag of water smelled like death. I quarantined the remaining fish and they are now almost all dead in 2 days. I got a $18.00 store credit despite all the fish dying. A store credit is pretty much worthless with a $9.99 box fee and $29.00 shipping. NEVER ORDERING FROM HERE AGAIN.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! DO NOT BUY THE FISH THEY SELL!!!!

Especially don't buy if they come from California as the rep, I believe her name is Shari, made it clear that those fish are no handled the same as they are in Wisconsin, very clearly implying that the California fish always have issue. If you are the same company, you need to make sure no matter where your facilities are that you follow the same protocol. And to knowingly tell people the fish there aren't treated with as high a standard as the ones in Wisconsin, and then to do nothing when all of those fish die. This is one messed up company.

Will not ever buy from this company again. From the moment I received these fish I was having issues. From shipping issues due to their incompetence and now 3 dead fish with another on the way out, to all of my other fish now all sick and diseased . They extended warranty on one fish but ignored the issues I was mentioning going on with the other fish when trying to talk about them as well. Within 3 weeks of of getting them they are now all dead. My orange shoulder tang is now jerking and twitching about, the exact same thing my powder blue did a few days before dying. The fish they sent me came with blotches, which they said is possible HLLE(acted like that was not a big deal that I had to spend even more money to treat the fish) and the Powder blue they sent me was wayyyyyyy bigger than it was supposed to be and ended up being riddled with ich. Not great with communication, nor do they care when a fish dies, just a generic sorry for your loss text.I have a very established tank 3-5 years old and had no issues what so ever until these fish came in.

Please save your self the pain of watching these fish suffer and die as well as your money.

I see in responses they offer for you to give them your order number and they will respond with a solution. They're solution will just be possible prevention methods for future. Basically how to treat HLLE, possibility of swim bladder from going over mountains or possible aggression. No real solution that helps rectify the situation or whats happened.

DO NOT BUY FISH FROM HERE!I purchased 5 fish from here.experienced aquarist.fish were quarintined.2 fish died within 7 days.sent in the forms for the guarantee and NEVER got a response.Another 2 died soon after.only have 1 left after spending so much money on fish and the insane shipping cost.Also,website clearly states a size range.We purchased bigger fish because if not they would be eaten by the other fish and we received all tiny tiny baby fish forcing them to be quarintined for years had they not all died anyway.BUYER BEWARE!!

I called to find out the status of part…

I called to find out the status of part of my order. Was told it was cancel because it was out of stock. Yet when i checked a few days ago it showed one of the fish still available. I told the customer rep that I would never buy from them again. She actually got sarcastic. I have bought fish from them for years. Definitely gone down hill.

Spent $150+ on dead fish

Spent $150+ and all arrived DOA. Based on the smell alone I'd say that many were dead at shipping time. No communication, no compensation. Just nothing. They do not care about your dead fish, and keep all the money anyway. This is a scam. Buyer beware!!!

Horrible Company - Please Stay Away

Horrible company. I ordered 21 fish, but only have 13. 5 of them were missing and 6 were DOA. 1 other was on it's last leg and died maybe 5 minutes after opening the shipping box (fish still bagged). The last one died after a few hours.

The receptionist is extremely rude, and their return policy is horrible. Even the receptionist said the owner is ridiculous and his policies are terrible. At this point, I'm going to eat the loss as I don't trust the fish they sell. Petco, here I come.

Avoid LiveAquaria!!!!

Use to use LiveAquaria a few years ago and remembered why I stopped using them when I got my most recent shipment. I placed an order and made the mistake of not looking at the most recent Yelp Reviews or reviews in general for this company.
And yes indeed avoid this Mom & Pop operation, they haven’t gotten better….
This place uses 'drop ship' from Los Angeles fish mills, not their 'mom and pop' store in Wisconsin.
The main thing LiveAquaria had going for it was selection, but they don't stock what they claim (and they don't pay attention to what's healthy). My order of 12 Black Neon Tetra’s arrived covered in Ich with 2 being DOA.
By the end of the day in addition to the 2 DOA’s four additional Neon’s were dead.
By the end of the second day an additional Neon and one shrimp were dead.
Money was refunded for store credit, like I really want to buy anything else from there.
By the end of day eight lost a Black Loach.
Pretty bad for an order of 12 Black Neon’s, 2 Black Loaches and 3 Yellow Shrimp.
Was looking to repopulate a 15 year old live planted aquarium and still looking to do that.
Aquatic Arts, Aquahuna here we come!!!!

This is terrible

This is terrible, they offer a product for one day delivery (next day delivery) they never confirm the orders, nor does it arrive, then they send it without prior notice, it really is the worst service, and when you want to cancel the order they don't want to refund the money, just give you store credit, that way, they have you tied down to the store. And the last 4 orders I’ve received, the packaging is an absolute mess

Dead fish, bad guarantee

I ordered several killifish; 6 rainbow Boesmani, 2 angelfish, and a dozen cardinal tetras. They failed to send a shipping email, which I was told to expect. It's getting cold, so I'd like to have a rough idea when they are shipped. Luckily, I was home. Angelfish were canceled-no big deal. Tetra bag leaked in box, but they were alive-we'll see. All 6 Boesmani were dead. I was refunded $75 in store credit. Between the $30 shipping and $10 box charge, that leaves $35 in credit to a company I no longer trust to send me live fish. If they send you dead fish, they should replace them, and cover shipping.

I ordered 10 blue rams

I ordered 10 blue rams, they sent me 10 gold rams. Not what I ordered, but okay I'll keep them. Acclaimed them to my tank with just a few catfish in it. Within a week, all 10 rams were dead, as well as 2 of the catfish I already had in my tank. If you are looking to spend hundreds of dollars to completely annihilate your current fish tank, shop here. You tank will crash in no time!
