Plain and simple to order and received on time

This is not the company that you might think it is. If you remember the high street shops, with friendly and knowledgeable staff do not assume that you will get the same service here.

An item was ordered 3 days ago and an email received that same day informing me of its despatch and confirming a Parcel Force "48 Express" reference number. Alarm bells started ringing when I checked the Parcel Force tracking and noted "Advised" as the status for several days. No delivery was forthcoming, so I contacted Maplin customer service. [there is no telephone number, and all contact is via web form]. It transpires that my parcel was NOT despatched on Wednesday - as originally informed - but was apparently sent on Saturday. I am now advised that it will be delivered on Tuesday - we shall see.

This is more than unsatisfactory, as the couple who were due to receive the item will have had their wedding, and will be enjoying their honeymoon in Barbados.

I ordered a trucknet snooper sat nav 5 days ago and have not heard anything about when it will be delivered ..

If there is a delay I would suggest an email stating that would be good !!!

Good mouse; easy to use and responsive. Delivery by Royal mail is a plus as they are reliable and always come to the door, unlike some couriers who just dump deliveries in the lobby.

Atrocious. The website crashed mid order and i got no confirmation. So I ordered again. Then I got 2 confirmations. I cancelled the second order immediately. But they didn’t respond to me and shipped both. Then they told me I would have to repay to return the second item. Can’t really believe this is legal. These people are thieves.

Good price and good delivery. Verrrry sluggish with processing refund after return.

My item was faulty, they tested it and said it wasn’t and sent me a video. I can’t work the product following the instructions repeatedly.

They decided not to believe me and deducted £8 from the total amount for the return fee !!!!!!

What a rip off!

Ordered a pair of active speakers. The transaction went through without problems and the goods were received in a couple of days, well packed. Would certainly deal with Maplin again.

Hi, ordered a router from Maplin. I was given a tracking number which is in fact untrackable. I've waited 2 weeks now for the item to arrive. You cannot reach customer support by phone and email is slow and offer vague assurances that they are looking into it. I won't be ordering from them again. There is a reason there is a preponderance of bad reviews overall.

I haven’t even received my order had no reply to my emails absolutely shocking service.

I recently bought an energizer lantern from Maplins. The item was delivered the next day free of charge. The lantern is excellent value and really comes in handy if you have a power cut like we did. It really throws some light out and is safer than candles. Would recommend the product and Maplins excellent customer service.

I'd give 6 stars if I could for customer service! I e-mailed the customer service team and received very speedy and extraordinary helpful assistance. They understood my problem and resolved it swiftly and with great attention to detail. My problem really mattered to them. Thank you James and colleagues at Maplin.

Appalling customer service !!

I ordered a snooper detector and the delivery date was stated as 3 working days , after 12 days and no updates from maplins I contacted them to ask where my purchase was?
They replied the item wasn’t in stock and they weren’t sure if they would be restocking this item!!, funny even now they are advertising the same goods knowing this and taking customers money…
Avoid this cowboy outfit ……..
