Martindale's brilliant repairers
A hale storm made holes in our conservatory roof, through Hastings Direct. Martindale's were appointed as repairers. Their workers did a brilliant job in restoring our conservatory back to it's best. The Martindale staff worked efficiently and courteously on both occasions they were on site. Many thanks from a pair of 80 year olds

Your man Graham called to say he was on route with estimated arrival time. Arrived on time. Very polite, clean and tidied after. Took away old glass. Had to plane off and stain. The only criticism is the colour of putty, could have been dark brown.
Thank you Martindales for your reply and explanation. We will paint the putty when fully dry, with the extra stain you left.

Regarding the putty colour - generally regardless of the shade used, the putty would still need to be painted or stained afterwards to properly match your preferred finish (painting also protects the putty). The standard practice across the industry is for this to be organised by the homeowner or decorator once the putty has had time to completely dry out. Apologies if this was not mentioned by the fitter, we’ll ensure this is always communicated going forward.

They replaced a glass panel 3 years ago the glass panel steamed up so they replaced under warranty.
When they replaced for second time I asked them to replace glass in the sliding door.
They left a wobbly glass panel, with incorrect gaskets around the glass and a sliding door that would not move!
They then failed to come out when they said they would, after their engineer came to investigate why the glass wouldn’t move and then we couldn’t close the door! They are refusing to repair the issues they caused!

Firstly, we’re sorry to see you have felt the need to leave a 1 star review.
We acknowledge that after 2.5 years, the double glazed unit we had installed into your existing patio started to condensate. Once this was brought to our attention, we swapped it for you at no extra cost, under our usual “peace of mind” guarantee. We also installed a second replacement unit for you, as a new job request.
We realise fitters were overrunning on one of the planned dates & therefore, were unable to attend. We apologised this happened & our branch manager personally visited your home the next day.
We accept that 1 of the gaskets to the patio door requires further replacement & have offered to do this for you. However, the other issues with the patio itself, including the separate gaskets in the tracks, were not part of the works we agreed to do & have not been caused by a simple glass replacement.
We are aware that you spoke with our branch manager yesterday & once you are ready to go ahead, we remain happy to fit the new gasket to your door. The other aspects are unrelated to any of the work we carried out.

I have been dealing with this company for over 20years and can honestly say I wouldn’t use anybody else. From ordering my windows off John in trade frames then Will contacting me from dispatch to arrange delivery then receiving my order from Neil to speaking with Jessica in accounts it is and alway been a very pleasant experience. Martindales were appointed by my insurance provider to replace 6x damaged conservatory roof panels could not fault the service provided. The surveyor arrived the very next day then an installation date was agreed on the day Danny & Liam replaced the damaged panels they were friendly and courteous, clean & tidy.

My insurance claim went through Martindales. Very helpful and efficient service. Kept me informed and kept to the agreed fitting date.

Martindales were appointed by my…Insurance Company
Martindales were appointed by my Insurance Company to replace my garage door. They have been an excellent company to deal with from day 1. The Surveyor visited site very quickly and provided me with all options, we were able to upgrade to our chosen colour at cost price. A fitting date was booked for mid July, then I got a call late yesterday afternoon saying a cancellation window had opened up, the workmen were here at 0830, job complete by 1015. The workmen who came were very professional, polite, chatty and got on with the job in hand, clearing away all rubbish etc. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a replacement garage door to contact Martindales for an excellent professional service from start to finish.
I must also give credit to all the office based staff who have been excellent throughout, dealing with any queries etc.
P.S - I will arrange to get the clamp the fitters accidentally left behind back to you in the post soon.

Graham & Ian arrived today to replace…
Graham & Ian arrived today to replace the glass panel in the door that was smashed by a burglar last week! Both guys were very polite, respectful and efficient too. Graham tweaked the doors so they’re both now easier to open whilst Ian loaded the van with the temporary wood and broken glass etc! All done in 15 mins

Outstanding service - door looks brand new again!
I’ve just had Martindales out to repair my front door following an insurance claim, and I couldn't be happier with the results. The technician did a brilliant job and made it look exactly like it did when it was brand new.
He went above and beyond, taking the time to touch up some marks on the door that weren't even part of the original claim. He was incredibly polite, thoughtful, and even offered some really useful advice on maintaining it. To top it all off, he cleared up after himself completely, leaving the place spotless. Fantastic service and a real credit to the company—highly recommend
