Very poor lack of responsiveness in relation to issues raised during the warranty period. They are not clear on the escalation process for issues as even if within the terms of their warranty don't seem to have anyone who is willing to resolve the issues proactively or engage in a resolution. Very disappointing service

Bought my Mazda here, great experience from start to finish. Truly professional, helpful & no hard sell which makes the experience easier after having had to battle this with other dealers since the start of looking for a car.

I purchase a Suzuki on the 23rd of September 2026 and carried out the normal checks and took delivery of the car. I noticed that the wheel arches were full of road dirt so got the underneath pressure washed.
I asked a tech at my work place to have a quick look underneath and was surprised when he mentioned that was extensive corrosion, to brake pipes, cross member, main structure, suspension and other areas. The front was not checked as this was pointless. I contacted the dealer within the 30day period of my consumer rights and requested a full refund and my old car back, which they refused. They offered to replace the brake pipes and under seal the car, without checking it, so they must have known that the corrosion was there. I refused their offer and have given 14 days to arrange for the collection f the car and a full refund and any expenses that are associated with the car or I will be perusing legal action through a small claims court. I was also sold a 3 year RAC warranty and have complained to them as they are RAC approved. I will also be getting an independent examination and the evidence will be produced in court.

Two weeks after I purchased the car I noticed a fault with the vehicle. I emailed the sales lady that had dealt me this car and received no reply. I then had to call the dealership only to find out she no longer worked there. I had also purchased quite a substantial amount of platinum warranty however I had been completely miss sold this and had not been told it was dealt with on a case by case basis I had been told by Maria that everything was covered. When I had formally complained about the faults with the car as more started to arise within a month of me owning the car I was told by Jackie to bring the car to the dealership which is 3 1/2 hours away from me on the basis that’s my warranty would not be claimed on and it was a goodwill gesture. Whilst my car was with them at the garage. I then received a notification informing me. My warranty claim had been approved which I had not been warned was going to be claimed on. When I confronted Jackie about this information she said she had never claimed they would not go through my WARRANTY… If this was the case surely I would have stayed with the local garage I had booked in with and saved myself the three hour drive no??? I have since asked for a full refund as well as offering to give the car back to them as the issues were still very prominent once it had came out the garage. The dealership has blatantly ignored me and my emails and I have asked for a final response letter twice now to which I have received nothing this has been ongoing for almost 5 months now worst garage I have ever dealt with.

Don't be fooled by lies. AUG 2025 brought a car (GV19 UBY) end of September 2025 engine failed and car stopped working. The car was with McCarthy cars until the end of January 2026, instead of fixing the car straight away they waited until they could claim of the extended warranty which was a 3 year plan all taken away in one go, they claimed almost £4000 for a used engine which they put in and sent it back to me and the car failed again, and blamed the supplier who sold them the engine. vauxhall check the car and said the engine was painted black so it's a used engine and one a respectable garage wouldn't use. Instead of the garage admitting that the car was faulty and wouldn't accept our rejection of the car they were slow responding to us and the finance company dragging it and when we called them up noone was apparently designated to resolve the issue at no point did McCarthy apologize or accept responsibility just made our life's hell took them 5 weeks to come and collect the car from when they finally rejected and then didn't respond once they have got the car so our deposit could be returned.

A whole year of hell and not one sorry I really hope people read this and make note, I fully understand that not all of your cars will be like this but the ones that may just a problem, just fix the issue and be more customer focus instead of doing what suits you and making our life's hell. Stop ignoring customers and just be an honest garage because you wasn't with us

Be very careful when buying a warranty. They're very keen to sell it to you but it is next to useless as they never have courtesy cars available and are booked up weeks ahead, so it's not worth the significant cost.

Bought my Audi A3 from them and they delivered this to me last year.
No problems with the buying or the car apart from we have a leak into the boot as it is a convertible.
Car in very good condition and drives superbly. Condition was perfect and they were very helpful during the online sale.

Really liked the car and milage it had been repaired but needed a couple of things adjusting so the sales guy kindly let us get the repair done nearer our home but after receiving the quote which he had been sent too he decided that he had not agreed to all the work on the quote which I found really confusing when I queried this with him and asked what was going on he said he had agreed on the phone to the garage which I knew nothing about !! neither did the garage ? this all happened on the actual day the garage were going to start the work so I had to phone and cancel Not sure what was going on there.

Customer service is literally the best. They will not fail you. Ask for Maria she will take care of you and make sure you leave with a smile.
