Appalling 'wash'
No signage explaining how to use the car wash. The app is utterly useless in supporting the user experience. Paid for 'Platinum' wash which came out dirtier than it had gone in. We were denied a refund or second attempt and instead given paper towels and directed to a tap to finish the job ourselves.
Car wash always out of service.
Wanted to give the car a quick wash today but after visiting the first car wash bay at Langney Shopping Centre both of the bays were out of service even though there were no signs or cones out. Travelled down to the next wash bay at Morrisons where 2/3 of the bays have been out of service since opening week to que up for 10 minutes just for the 3rd bay to stop working half way though the guy in fronts session. Complete waste of my time and staff and never any help nor could the give a care in the world.
Paid for a car wash ticket
Paid for a car wash ticket, but the machine didn’t work when I tried to use it. Staff said it showed as “used” so they couldn’t give a refund and told me to contact customer service instead. Customer service then refused as well, as there was no fault found with the machine at that time. Disappointing.
Poor self-service pumps Horndean (Hampshire)…
10 visits to Horndean (Hampshire) forecourt using different self-service pumps. 10/10 times couldn't get printed receipt (needed for expences claim).
11th time...same again...large queue also asking for receipts.
Staff member (very very poor English) couldn't find my payment to give receipt so I had to take any he could find for similar (but higher) amount. He claimed he was new and couldn't work the till system, which was a lie as he has been there for months.
EV CHARGE..
EV CHARGE... Utter utter con, the App has not worked for ages, not contactable either, they are totally unreliable and hide behind intended lies and replies of consent, but live to run thier bank balance off the 40 or 45 pounds they rob when they charge you and repay a week later the 90% you never use. To be totally avoided and estimate a short life... you can use cards to pay... Maybe if the points are operationel found two of four useless
Avoid!!! this station – serious overcharging issue and poor staff response.
Today at MFG Whirlwind Service Station (Coventry Road, Birmingham) I encountered a dangerous and unacceptable situation. After picking up the pump, it showed a red warning light and over £5 already on the display from a previous customer. I alerted staff, but when I started fuelling it became clear the pump had NOT been reset and was continuing from someone else’s transaction.
I immediately stopped, yet despite this, I was later charged for BOTH transactions.
I reported it straight away. Staff told me not to worry and reset the pump, but when I checked the receipt, the previous charge was still added. When I went back to resolve it, staff were dismissive and refused to properly address the issue.
To make things worse, another customer reported the SAME problem at the same time, which strongly suggests a fault with the pumps. Staff ignored this as well.
I have been a loyal customer here for 12 years, fuelling two cars regularly, and I have never experienced anything like this. Being overcharged due to a faulty pump is one thing — but the complete lack of accountability and dismissive attitude is unacceptable.
CHECK THE PUMP BEFORE YOU FUEL. Make sure it is reset to £0.00, or you risk paying for someone else’s fuel. !!!!
Calor gas cylinder refills ripoff
Calor gas cylinder refills. Be warned these people charge whatever they wish over the Calor Gas retail price. I was caught and paid £78 for my refill whereas it can be bought for as little as £53 a mark up of 47%. These people fo not deserve the business and shame on calor gas for not having a control on the sales price of their product.
Dreadful chargers, Do Not Use!!!
Called in for a small amount of charge to get me home at the Biggleswade station recently. Started the charge with Google Pay on my phone but when the time came, Google pay didn't work to stop the charge. I tried this numerous times but it kept saying 'Authentication failed' on the screen. I eventually rang the emergency phone number on the charger and they managed to stop it remotely but not before it had charged my car up to almost full costing me several times more than I needed to get home. I have since complained but they haven't reimbursed me for my loss even though the transaction was recorded and they can see that I tried to stop the charge half an hour before it was eventually stopped. I will never use MFG chargers again! If I could give zero stars I would! The process is so much simpler at Osprey chargers where there is a big 'STOP' button on the screen which stops the charge immediately when you press it
Wouldn’t even give 1star absolutely…
Wouldn’t even give 1star absolutely awful company robbing the customer they have 2 garages in my town and there both charging different prices in expensive isn’t the word they are robbing there customers blind there is no fuel shortage but they like all the other companies are exploiting the customer and robbing them blind should be ashamed it’s disgusting
EV charger at wincanton. Dreadful
EV charger at wincanton. Appalling. Machine hardly responded at all. Barely working. Took my £45 then failed to deliver any charge. These guys are highway robbers.
Greed before customer satisfaction.
21st March popped into MFG garage in Morrisons Napier Street Johnstone at 7.58 am. Price board showing 159.9 for diesel, I arrived at the pump and it is showing 162.9. Contacted them and got some waffle about carrying out an investigation to see what went wrong. Definitely feels like I am being led a merry dance and nothing will come of it. I also notice on the forecourt there are no longer gloves or even paper towels available to clean your hands if the nozzle leaks. Profit and greed before customer service seems to be the norm nowadays. So basically ripped off for diesel, hands stinking of diesel, a very poor service all around. Will not be back there again, even got a strange look when I asked for my receipt.
Payment is okay but there's no petrol
Before setting off, I checked my car's computer and saw that I had 129 miles left, so I wanted to add another 4-5 pounds. I went to the Scarborough Morrison petrol station, where I saw that the price and the liter counter had increased, but unfortunately, no fuel flowed from the pump. I thought maybe I hadn't noticed it because of the noise, but when I got in the car, the 129 miles hadn't increased at all (even after I started the car). Then I went to the cashier and explained the situation, but they said that if the fuel hadn't come, my money would be refunded. Since I didn't trust them, I asked for their complaints hotline number, and they gave me their business card. While driving, I bought 5 pounds worth of fuel from BP and noticed that my car's computer had increased from 129 miles to 190 miles. Despite exchanging emails with this company numerous times, they unfortunately stated that I was given fuel because the liter counter had increased. Despite repeatedly stating that this particular petrol was not provided, they not only made me, a loyal customer of both Morrison's and this station, go through the trouble for 4-5 pounds, but also defrauded me by taking my money and not giving me the petrol! Yes, they defrauded me! Because, as far as I understand, when we buy 10-15 pounds worth of petrol from here, we never receive 4-5 pounds back! It's truly a shame! Now, even though they are only two blocks away, I take the time to buy petrol from stations that take their work more seriously and don't try to defraud people. I also paid this company an additional 35 pounds on top of the 5 pounds and filed a small claim case!.
MFG at Morrisons Lysander Road
MFG at Morrisons Lysander Road, Yeovil – very deeply disappointing.
The car wash has been out of order for days with zero communication. Just cones at the entrance and no information on when it will be fixed. Meanwhile, all the signs advertising the car wash are still up and running, which is completely misleading.
Staff on site don’t know anything about the situation, which points to poor communication from head office.
Tried calling customer services multiple times – you select the option to speak to someone and the line just goes silent. No answer, no queue, nothing. Completely unacceptable.
For a company of this size, this is basic stuff. If a service is unavailable, communicate it clearly and make sure your customer support actually works.
Very frustrating experience and not what I expect as a regular customer. Pretty Awful company in terms of communication and customer service!
Motor Fuel Group is an absolute…
Motor Fuel Group is an absolute disgrace. I’ve used their car wash twice at Hull Stoneferry and both times it was faulty. When I raised the issue on site, staff were rude, argumentative, and blatantly unprofessional, speaking in another language in front of me while dismissing my complaint.
I reported this to head office—not for a refund, but to highlight their conduct—and was fobbed off with the claim the machine was “working perfectly.” Weeks later, I returned, found it still broken, and even provided video evidence. They dismissed it again with the same excuse.
Faulty equipment, dishonest responses, and zero accountability. This company clearly has no standards and no respect for its customers. Avoid at all costs.
1 star
1 star – absolutely shocking service at MFG Car Wash inside Morrisons Leighton Buzzard (Lake Street). Paid £12 for a wash ticket on 18 March 2026. Entered the code correctly, positioned the car properly until the display showed “STOP” – but the programme simply froze / never started. Sounded the horn THREE times as clearly instructed inside the bay for staff help – complete silence, no response at all. My terrified 2-year-old daughter started crying uncontrollably because we were stuck in the dark bay with no wash happening and no help coming. When I finally drove forward out to calm her down, the staff member was extremely rude, sarcastic, refused any help or refund, blamed me for leaving the bay and even threw a customer service card at me saying “go ahead and complain”. Never experienced such dismissive and arrogant treatment in the UK – especially with a scared toddler involved. This seriously damages both MFG and Morrisons reputation. Avoid this location if you value your money, time and family’s peace of mind. Ref: 0181996 (MFG complaint already raised).
Very rude and dismissive company Morrisons shouldn't be using them
I had a very unpleasant experience at the Morrisons petrol station in Cambuslang and I am extremely disappointed with how the complaint was handled afterwards.
After using the pay-at-pump, I went inside to request a receipt. During the interaction at the counter, I heard what I believed to be an inappropriate and offensive word being said while I was standing there. The situation made me feel uncomfortable and upset, so I raised a complaint with the company.
The response I received was frustrating. I was told that CCTV had been reviewed, but their system does not record audio, so they said they could not confirm what was said and described the incident as a misunderstanding. Despite this, they also confirmed that the staff member was using a personal mobile phone while on duty and that retraining was required, which does not give much confidence in the level of professionalism at the time.
I appreciate that companies need evidence, but it felt like my concerns were dismissed simply because there was no audio recording available. As a customer, that is not a reassuring outcome.
Overall, I am disappointed both with the experience at the petrol station and with the way the complaint was handled. I would expect better customer service and a more balanced investigation when a customer raises a concern.
Fraudulent
As per other reviews, card charged but jet wash failed to operate. Company refused to refund my card following email correspondence so have raised a complaint with my credit card company. This company is criminally fraudulent.
Absolute nightmare to deal with
Absolute nightmare to deal with, recently received racism in one of three stores to then be made out to be a liar. I no longer give them money. Avoid these guys at all costs, the customer services are shocking and took months to sort my complaint. I had left valuables in there store in December and the man behind the counter had pocketed my stuff. This company shouldn’t be aloud to trade in the uk.
